00:00Most people think you need to go out and you need to buy all the expensive stuff. You don't.
00:04I know for a fact Banksy, a lot of the original canvases were from places like Home Bargains.
00:10And as was like One Pound Sprite. If you want to create something, it's easier to make an
00:14excuse not to do something than to actually get off your arse and do it.
00:19Look, do what you enjoy. Do what you're happy. Do what makes you feel happy. It doesn't have
00:25to be like this, or like this, or like this. You know, it's like...
00:31Not proper, not paid, not big, not small. Just do it. If you want to do something and
00:36you've got the compulsion to go out there and do it. It's like screen printing. I wanted
00:40to know how to screen. I taught myself. YouTube, it's great. Learn how to get the frames, get
00:46the mesh. You know, you're going to mess up a few hundred times, but eventually you'll
00:50get it down. You know.
00:52Oh dear. And I think that's why a lot of people are just frustrated with these people who,
00:57because they've got money, or because they've got connections, they think that they can
01:00just skip the steps and go through the pain. And the typical starving artist, it's that
01:0710,000 hours thing. You know, you've got to put your time in the trenches. If you just
01:12think you can buy a few thousand followers to pull an algorithm that will then show people
01:17your other stuff or give this away or give that. It's just, it's not fair, but then we
01:22don't live in a fair society anymore. Do you know what I mean? But if you want to do something,
01:26go out there and do it. If you want to create, you create. If you're a musician, make music.
01:31If you're an actor, act. If you want to write, write. It's easier to make an excuse not to
01:36do something than to get off your ass and do it.
