00:00Hey guys, I'm Stacey and this is Gorgeously Aging and today I'm going to do an episode

00:09of Is It A Dupe. Today we're going to test one of my favorite products for the summer

00:13and that is the Makeup by Mario. This is the Soft Sculpt Bronzing and Shaping Serum, which

00:20is incredible. But I'm going to test that up against the more affordable Elf. This is

00:25their new bronzing drops and I have this in the color Pure Gold. So let me show you

00:30the colors side by side, which are not an exact dupe, but I did want to show you just

00:36so that you can see for yourself the consistency, the color, and the texture of the product.

00:41So this is the Makeup by Mario and let me just spread that out on my hand. And here

00:49is the Elf. And you can see they're very similar. The Makeup by Mario is a little

01:04cooler in tone and the Elf is a little warmer in tone. As far as texture, they're very similar.

01:11They have a sheerness to them and they're about the same viscosity or thinness. So let

01:16me tuck my hair back here. I'll start with the Makeup by Mario and I'm just going to

01:22put a little bit on the back of my hand, one pump. Now I like this using a brush, using

01:27a sponge, using fingers, but today I'm going to use a sponge. I'm just going to use the

01:32rounded end. You can tell my sponge is a little stained. I've been absolutely loving the Makeup

01:39by Mario product so we will see how the Elf product stands up against it. And I'm going

01:48to run it along my jawline and just my sides of my forehead here just to give the face

01:56a little contour and shape. It has a beautiful glow. Now of course you could add more or

02:02layer it to be a little bit heavier, but let's just start with one coat and see how they

02:07compare. So I'm going to wipe off my hand. I don't want to mix the two products together

02:12and I'm just going to give a little squirt here of this Pure Gold Bronzing Drops by Elf.

02:17I'm going to use a different part of the sponge just not to mix the products, so I'm just

02:21going to use the side here. And just go along the forehead, kind of repeat the process here.

02:33I will say that Elf has really done a good job making some affordable dupes. Whoops, I don't want to put it on that side of the face.

02:42Okay, so here is the Elf side. I think it has a really pretty sheen. And here is the Makeup

02:51by Mario side. Now that we've seen it with one layer, I'm going to add a second for those that

02:56like to be really sculpted and bronzed. So let's try another pump, and this time I'm going to use

03:03a brush and just go into this product here. Just really bronze it up a bit more. What I love about

03:18this is how sheer it is. So you can wear it on bare skin if you don't wear foundation. I do have

03:24some foundation and I'll list that in the description box below.

03:29I'm going to use the other side of the brush here with the Elf drops.

03:40It's definitely more, this color is definitely more of a golden bronzy undertone.

03:46And then I'm just going to go and pump everything in with a different side of my sponge just to blend it.

04:00I'm going to take a tiny bit of Ilia powder. This is their blurring powder and I absolutely love it.

04:08And I want to keep the sheen on my upper cheek,

04:12but I want to just blur down this part just a little bit and my nose.

04:19Keeping it kind of simple today.

04:24Okay, so this is the Makeup by Mario side and this one is the Elf bronzing drop side.

04:32The only thing I want to add is a little bit of blush and I just recently picked up this House

04:36Labs blush. I will list the color down in the description box below.

04:43I'm just gonna put a little bit of this on. The color looks intense but it's actually so pretty.

04:48And I'm just gonna buff that out.

04:57So now I am adequately bronzed and blushed. I did use the Makeup by Mario ethereal palette on my

05:03eyelids today which I absolutely love. Just a light bit of eyeshadow. So what do you guys think?

05:15preference is the Makeup by Mario just because it's a little bit cooler in tone, but these are

05:20both beautiful products. You could also mix either of these in with your body moisturizer to give
