00:00Hey friends, I'm Stacy and this is Gorgeously Aging and today I'm going to share with you guys some new items from Chantecaille

00:06I have been building my collection over the past couple of years and picked up some really good new products

00:11I'm also going to show you some older products that I think are

00:13fantastic and we're gonna compare one side of my face with the future skin and the just skin tint and I'm gonna let you guys

00:20Know which one I like better. So this is the makeup look that I created using all Chantecaille

00:26So I'm gonna share that with you as well as a lot of great products that I've been collecting and a few that I regret

00:33purchasing

00:38For those of you brand new to my channel, I am an almost 53 year old master and medical esthetician

00:43I love all things skincare makeup beauty fashion and aging beautifully from the inside out

00:49So if you're just finding me for the first time a special welcome

00:52And if you've been with me for a while sending you all virtual hugs

00:56One of the things I want to do in today's video because it was a little confusing for me when I first started buying Chantecaille

01:02Was we're gonna compare these two foundations

01:05This is the Chantecaille future skin foundation and this is the just skin tinted moisturizer with SPF

01:12So we're gonna use it on each side of the face and I'm gonna let you know which one I like better for my skin

01:17I've also been eyeing up the Chantecaille loose powder and the makeup compact

01:21So I'm gonna use them in different applications and let you know

01:25Which ones I like better and then although I picked up the sheer glow

01:30This is the rose tint and I wanted to try the bronze tint and we're gonna use that today and spoiler alert

01:35I absolutely love this. So let's jump in to a full face of Chantecaille featuring some new products

01:41So I was really drawn to the packaging on this Rose Day. My lip balm. This is clear

01:47So I'm gonna prep my lips with this this time of year

01:50I think it's so nice to prep the lips before makeup just because the air is getting a little drier at least here in Colorado

01:55It's usually dry, but it's even drier in the fall and winter now

01:59I've already done my skincare and I applied my SPF which is so important to protect your skin from the damage of UV rays

02:05So if you're not using SPF every day, I strongly encourage that year-round not just in the summer

02:12Incorporate it as part of your skincare routine

02:14So we're gonna start on the left side of my face with the Chantecaille future skin and here's what it looks like

02:21I'm just gonna go ahead and dab into it. Not a lot about that much

02:27That might be more than I need I find as I'm getting older

02:30You really need much less product and you really sheer it out across the face. So this has a nice moisturizing consistency

02:38I'm gonna use the it cosmetics airbrush brush and really blend that out and sheer it out a bit

02:43The times I have used this I have thought it is super pretty the coverage is not overly intense

02:50But it does give you beautiful skin like finish with a tiny bit of radiance

02:54Of course, you can build it up to a more full coverage

02:57I like my coverage to be light to medium to let my natural skin

03:01Breed through and not have an overly made-up. Look now, of course, this is personal preference

03:06I just find that is more flattering for me as a 53 year old woman

03:10I've also done a ton of work on my skin and I like the way my skin looks so I find that letting it my

03:15Skin kind of peek through a little bit not having intensely full coverage is more flattering for me

03:20I'm gonna bring this down the neck. So let's move on to the just skin tinted moisturizer

03:25This has SPF 15, which is not a huge amount of SPF

03:29So I wouldn't rely on that only but it's nice that it has a little extra SPF

03:34And that's what that looks like I'm gonna use a different brush here use the elf ultimate blending brush

03:44This one is a little bit different tone

03:46But aside from the tone, it's definitely a little lighter

03:49It does have a pretty skin like finish a slight bit of radiance, but nothing overpowering

03:55I don't mind radiance in a product as long as it doesn't make your face feel like an oil slick or look overly shiny

04:02I like that healthy beautiful

04:04Glowy natural finish and then I like to take down the excess glow in areas where I want it to be more matte

04:10So that's really just hitting those natural glow points. So I think both of these foundations are really beautiful

04:16You know if I had to pick one or the other I think I would opt towards the just skin tinted moisturizer with the SPF 15

04:24There isn't a significant difference. I just feel like I like the extra SPF

04:29I like that this comes in a tube. The future skin is also beautiful a tiny bit more coverage not significantly though

04:36And of course you can build it up

04:37But it does come in this open pot which some people like some people don't like I'm gonna move on to the Chantecaille

04:43bronzing face tint and

04:45This is such a beautiful product. It really blends in so nicely

04:49So I'm just gonna use my finger and take a little bit on the tip of my finger

04:53And dab it onto my face

04:55It takes a little bit to get used to exactly how much you want or need and I'm just going to

05:02Give a little bronze to the areas that I know I like to

05:06Create a little bit of glow and contour as far as a bronzing and sculpting

05:12Situation. This is very thin and

05:15Blends in super easily and you can apply this with a brush

05:19I kind of like to use my fingers for this and then I'm gonna take this is a Real Techniques

05:24Sculpting brush

05:25And I'm just gonna stipple that in or pat it in you have a little bit of working time with this

05:30But it does dry down nicely and it's not overpowering

05:34So it doesn't give you any intensity at all. It just gives you a gorgeous bronze. I really really like this a lot

05:41It is super beautiful. I don't know if you guys can see on camera like what a nice finish it is

05:47So I'm gonna move on to the concealer. This is an anti fatigue corrector pen

05:53You just have to give it a few clicks

05:54I do like to put it on the back of my hand to make sure there's not a ton on the brush

05:59Some people love these pens that have the brush on them

06:01Some people hate them if you're not a fan of the brush just put on your hand and use a separate brush or your finger

06:07I'm just gonna use the brush just to apply and then blend it in with my finger just to brighten up the under-eye

06:15I'll list all the colors down in the description below. I

06:19I

06:22Like to apply it underneath the bronzer just to give the face a little lift right through here

06:28here and here

06:29Now I'm just gonna do my under eyes with my finger and same thing with this up here by the brow

06:35I like to get into the corner where it tends to hold on to some darkness there

06:40Pat this in and we're gonna go over these larger areas with this airbrush brush. This is by it cosmetics

06:46I'm gonna take a dampened sponge and just go over the eye just a little bit

06:51All right, moving on to their loose powder, which I just picked up recently and it has a gorgeous puff in it

06:56So we're gonna set that aside. I'm just gonna add a little bit of this into the cap

07:01So there we have it and I'm gonna take a larger fluffy brush. This is by Sonia Kashuk

07:07And I like to start kind of right down in here with my setting. I like to get the t-zone mostly

07:13There are certain areas of my face, I don't mind have some natural shine like the cheeks

07:19Not the very front of the cheek because I feel like for most people that's where enlarged pores like to hang out

07:25so I do like to powder that down a little bit and I like to get the nose between the brows the chin and then

07:31Just blend down the neck. I'm gonna move to a smaller brush for the under eyes. I'm just gonna pat this in

07:38My

07:42Makeup breaks up a little bit in the corner of my nose

07:44So I do like to pat a little bit of powder there and then if you feel like you have excess powder anywhere

07:49Just go over very gently with a dampened sponge

07:53When I dampen my sponges I dampen them under the sink squeeze them out really good

07:57And then take an old towel that you don't mind getting dirty and really squeeze it hard

08:03So that it's ever so slightly dampened you don't want it wet feels almost dry with just a tinge of dampness

08:10This helps pick up any excess powder and makeup off the face

08:13It gives a really beautiful smooth airbrush finish and you definitely don't want to have excess product under the eyes

08:20Especially if you're over 40, so I'm gonna take this compact and this is kind of like a powdered foundation

08:26This is in the color peach, and I'm just gonna hit some areas that I know

08:32Need a little extra coverage

08:35Around my nose and I like to put a little bit on my

08:39eyelids

08:41For discoloration, but also as a foundation primer so to speak

08:45I find the foundation goes on so much better when you powder the eyelids lightly first

08:49I'm gonna use a couple different blushes, but I want to show you guys the cheek jelly

08:54Now you can put this on before powder or after powder. I've done it both ways

08:59And I'm just gonna take a tiny little bit of this

09:02This says it is a hydrating gel cream blush that can be used on cheeks and eyes

09:07So you have the versatility of also just using this as a little wash of color on the eyelids again

09:13I'll list all the colors in the description box below with the links. I'm just gonna take my finger

09:19dab it into the cheek jelly and

09:22then use my sponge and

09:26Just work that in

09:28It's nicely pigmented, but not intense

09:32Has a little subtle glow to it and that brings back some of that highlight on the cheeks after you've powdered

09:39I think that's super pretty and I just for the sake of showing you guys want to try a little on the lids

09:44So I'm gonna take a fluffy brush. This is by Morphe

09:50Just take a little bit of that cheek jelly, and I'm just gonna add it to the center here

09:55Just for a wash of pink on the eyelids I

10:00Think this would be super easy and pretty if you don't really like to spend a lot of time on

10:06Eyeshadow and it couldn't be more easy. This blends out nicely

10:09I like to take it above where the crease is because I have hooded deep set eyes

10:16And I think on most aging people you need to bring it up just a little bit so that it lifts the eyelid

10:22I think that's pretty this would be especially pretty in the spring

10:25But I think it would be pretty any time of year

10:27So I have a two powder blushes by Chantecaille that I love

10:31This one is joy, and this is the horse and this one is grace, and it is the sea turtle

10:38I love joy. It's that beautiful pop of pink, but in the fall and winter. I think grace is gorgeous

10:45It's that corally peachy undertone has a slight bit of sheen and one of the things I love about

10:51Chantecaille is their mission of giving back and helping animals. I'm gonna use a fluffy

10:56Japonesque brush and even though we use that gelee that cream gel

11:02Blush by adding a powder blush to the top it just helps with the longevity

11:07It's not necessary, but because I have these it tends to be my routine

11:12So this is one of my first Chantecaille products. This is their powdered bronzer

11:17It's really pretty, and I'm just gonna use an angled brush

11:21This does have a tiny tiny bit of sheen to it

11:24It's not totally matte, but it looks gorgeous on the skin, and I'm reinforcing that

11:30Bronzer that we put on that bronzing tint you could make this super easy and not do all these steps

11:36But because I have all this I'm going to do it

11:38And I feel like if you have a day that you really want your makeup to stay looking great throughout the day and not fade

11:44When you reinforce your cream or liquid products with a powdered product it just adds to the longevity

11:50So I have a couple things for

11:53Eyeshadow this is a gorgeous gorgeous palette. I hope they still have it

11:58I'm not sure I got this a while ago, but I think the colors are universally flattering great for fall and winter

12:04But just a great neutral it has two mattes one light for the inner corner

12:08And this kind of grayish brown, and then we have two shimmer colors here and here

12:14So I might dip into this, but first I'm going to start with these individual eyeshadow

12:20Compacts so I have the giraffe and the horse. Let me show you the colors again here. This is the horse and

12:26This is giraffe

12:28Beautiful products, so I'm gonna start with those we're gonna tone down the pink on the lids a little bit

12:33I'm gonna use a fluffy brush and just go into this and right over the movable lid down here

12:39These are nice and soft easy to blend. They're not powdery. You don't get a lot of fallout and

12:46Then I'm gonna go into the giraffe which is a little darker

12:49Brown with a little bit of sheen let me show you that actually I'll show you the other one too, so that's the giraffe

12:54Let me show you the horse. It's really pretty I had such a hard time deciding on these so the horse is just much lighter

13:01And there's the giraffe really gorgeous colors. I'm gonna wipe off my brush, and then we're gonna go into the giraffe

13:08No little to no fallout on these

13:12This would be kind of the look I'd go with if I was going out or wanted a little bit more glam

13:17Look if you want something softer and more demure

13:21Stick with those lighter colors

13:23I'm just gonna kind of angle this upward to give a little lift and then drag it in towards the center of my movable lid

13:31To blend it in with that lighter color, then I'm gonna go back to a big fluffy brush and just blend

13:39And drag upward I'm actually to take this and run it under my lower lash line as well

13:43I think it's such a great color. I'm gonna take a flat brush and just use the side of a flat brush

13:51And from that from the outer corner to connect the upper

13:56Just under the lower lash line the sheen isn't overpowering on this

14:01That's one thing I don't like is when the sheen is like too much

14:04I feel like for almost 53 you know there's a right amount of sheen that looks nice, and then there's too much sheen

14:09I bought all these myself you guys this was not sent to me

14:12So I'm giving you my honest as always no matter what it always give you my honest opinion on these products

14:17I do want to go into this palette only because I really want to use this bone color here for the inner corner

14:24Just to brighten that up. I tend to have a little darkness here

14:27And I find that that makes such a nice difference just to brighten up the inner corners

14:32Now one of the products by Shantakai. I'm not in love with is the mascara. I'm gonna show you right now

14:37I think for me because I have puny eyelashes. I do have lashes

14:41False lashes on the uppers right now. This is a little bit bigger or fuller of a brush for me now the formula

14:47I think is good, but for my tiny lashes

14:50This isn't my preferred mascara brush or wand style, but I'm gonna hit my lower lashes with this

15:02Sometimes I'll even like hit the tips of my lash extensions or lashes so that it gets any of the powder off them

15:10Makes them look a little more fresh and not so powdery

15:13So this is one I kind of regretted purchasing because it's not a mascara I really reach for often

15:19I know some people super super love this like I said the formula is good

15:22But I'm not crazy about the brush style something

15:25I wanted to show you because I do really love it too are these little pots of color

15:29Let me show you the swatch of this this one is in the color

15:33Sylvie it's more of a cream to powder, but that's super pretty I would say for me my preference between the loose powder

15:40and the pressed powder this one is the

15:43Perfecting blur finishing powder this is a nice powder

15:46But I actually really like the loose powder better especially on a mature skin all right. I'm gonna wipe my lips

15:54Okay, I almost forgot brows which are important

15:56I have the color oak brown and this is the waterproof brow definer. This is one

16:02I don't talk about enough, but it's actually really really good

16:05I have so much makeup to try that sometimes when I've used something that I really love I move on to other things

16:11And I'm testing and forget how great it was and then I go back to it

16:16And I'm like I need to put this in front and center in my drawer. It goes on nicely

16:22It's waterproof it stays on and I'm just gonna go ahead and brush it up

16:27As we age we tend to lose like the back half of our brows

16:31So for that reason a little framing around the brows is such a good idea

16:36I

16:37Put more product on the back half or the tail of the brow and less on the front

16:43Just to give that framework to the face and some definition there

16:48Brows are so important and

16:51Unfortunately as we age they tend to kind of disappear and lose their shape now remember

16:56You don't have to match your eyebrow color to your hair color

16:59Most people's eyebrows are a little darker than their hair

17:02And if you look through pictures, you'll see that last but not least. We're gonna move on to lips

17:07so I've got the lip definer and this is in discreet and

17:14Lips are so much like brows in terms of they lose definition when you age

17:19So defining them is really nice to kind of just give them better shape

17:24I've found lip filler helps a little too. Lately I've been liking a more

17:29Brownie pink. This is more of a pink or muted pink

17:32So I wish I had this more in a brownie pink not that this is a bad color

17:37It's just I really really love a brownie pink shade now. I have a couple lip products

17:43This one is more of a sheer product and I love the color of this one

17:48But it is very sheer so hydrating sheer has a little shine, but I got a new one

17:53So this one has a cheetah on it

17:56I think it's from the newer cheetah collection and the color is wild Senna, but look at that. It is so beautiful

18:03Let me swatch that so you definitely get more color pay off with that one than you do with the more sheer lip

18:10Product now the sheer one is when I got a couple of years ago

18:14And I did use that a lot when I first got it. It's a very all these products very good on the skin

18:20I just love the color on this for fall and winter

18:23I think it's gonna be a great holiday color and burgundy is so on trend now and this has that beautiful kind of muted

18:30Burgundy tone. I think this pairs really well with the eye look. What do you guys think?
