00:13Be a sole provider to my man at the time, but I was okay with it because I loved him.

00:24The craziest thing I've done is forgiven cheating.

00:28I am allergic to cats, and I dated a woman with a cat for a year.

00:32People assume because I'm 35 and single that I'm crazy. I'm actually the opposite. I'm like

00:39What's your worst dating story?

00:41One time this girl came over to cook me a steak dinner,

00:44and she ended up cutting off the tip of her finger.

00:47What are three dating non-negotiables for you?

00:50I hate to quote Spice Girls, but if you want to be my lover, you got to be with my friends. So like

00:53if my friends don't love you, then this is not going to work out.

00:56I have two cats, and I don't like people who hate cats. You have to at least, you know,

01:01be neutral about them.

01:02I want someone that remembers like the little things that I like or I don't like,

01:06and considers my feelings.

01:08Being independent. I don't want someone who's going to kind of latch on to me. I want someone

01:12who's going to provide value.

01:14What part of yourself would you like to see reflected in your partner?

01:17Receptive to creativity. I'd love to see that in a partner as well.

01:21If I commit to something, I'm always going to make sure that it happens.

01:26I'm really big about being a leader of character. I would like to meet someone

01:30I mutually trust and respect.

01:32What's one piece of advice you give the opposite sex when it comes to dating?

01:36Men are great. I think women a lot of times are a little bit more loyal,

01:40so I think they could work on their loyalty.

01:42I would say to put themselves in our spot and know how vulnerable,

01:45especially as a woman, it is to date.

01:47Find yourself first and then find the other person.

01:52Whether it's making a reservation or calling to confirm that you're on for that night,

01:59effort goes a long way.

02:00What's one thing about yourself or one thing you've accomplished that you're most proud of?

02:06I'm an immigrant, a first-generation immigrant, and I'm just really excited I get to do something

02:11that aligns with my values and my cause in terms of justice work.

02:16I have a beach cleanup organization, and to this day, we've picked up over 10,000 pounds of trash.

02:22I'm most proud of just resilience through trials and tribulations and not

02:26letting one monkey stop the show.

02:29I'd say my time in the Marine Corps. A lot of ups and downs. It was a roller coaster,

02:32but overall, I take a lot of pride in that.

02:34If your love life was a book, what would this chapter be called?

02:38Holy shit, because this is so crazy.

02:41Bland, but I guess exciting now, so bland but exciting.

02:46What is one thing about you that you wish more people knew?

02:50How great I am at baking bagels. Sesame bagel, everything bagel,

02:53poppy seed bagel, really whatever my friends want.

02:56That I'm smarter than I look, and that I'm also extremely kind and open and honest.

03:01I think people are most surprised by the fact that I can't ride a bike,

03:03so I'll just leave that there.

03:05I'm a huge Star Wars guy. It's like the best movie series ever.

03:08I'm funny. People don't know that. I'm innately funny. I'm not self-proclaimed funny.

03:14I have a lot to offer. My heart is made of gold, pretty much.
