00:00Well, what went down in this 1913 victory for the Texans?
00:06Some surprises, especially when it comes to some props, maybe for the Chicago Bears roster
00:11or maybe even the Texans roster.
00:13I will note this, I didn't get a chance to say it earlier, Joe Mixon did bang up his
00:17ankle.
00:18He did go down and earlier, I think it was some point at the third quarter, went to the
00:22tent after the tent, went to the locker room and was remaining questionable throughout
00:26the game.
00:27A few little other injuries to add to the tally when it comes to NFL week two, but Tom,
00:32talk to me.
00:33What did you see in this matchup?
00:34Yeah, a interesting set of, I would say, reactions that I have.
00:42You know, first off, Caleb Williams, better than what he did last week.
00:47I think it's going to be tough to judge how good Caleb Williams is if they're not giving
00:53him time to throw the ball.
00:55He's going to make mistakes.
00:56If he's going to be constantly pushed out of the pocket, the pockets can be collapsing
01:00around him and he does not have time to properly go through reads, reading the defense, going
01:05from option one to option two, and then making that third and final read on the offense and
01:10then passing the ball.
01:11If they don't give him time to do that, he's going to look terrible 100% of the time.
01:16And that's not on him.
01:17That's the offensive play calling, that's the offensive line, it's a lot of things.
01:20I will say the Bears defense looks pretty good over the first two weeks.
01:24That is the encouraging thing.
01:26However, when you are constantly asking them to answer the bell, they're going to eventually
01:32give up points.
01:33So holding an awesome Texans offense to only 19 points and only the one touchdown, that's
01:39pretty good.
01:40But eventually they're going to give up points and give up points because it's attrition
01:44at a certain point.
01:45And then on the other side, if you can't have Williams enough time to answer on offense,
01:49we're going to be constantly getting these games with the Bears where they're in third
01:52and long.
01:53And the penalties, the pre-snap penalties for the Bears, the false starts, the delay
01:57of games, constantly putting them in third and long.
02:00That's what I'm noticing from the Bears.
02:01Like it is encouraging to see their defense look good.
02:05And Caleb Williams, when he has time, he can make the plays, but that is so infrequent
02:09that I just don't know what we're going to be getting from him this year.
02:12On the other side, Joe Mixon, as you said, banged up his ankle, didn't do a whole lot.
02:16Stroud did his thing.
02:17Nico Collins is amazing.
02:19We know he's going to do, but it was a slow game from Diggs.
02:21Tank Dell did basically nothing.
02:23And sometimes we're just going to be wrong about the other receivers because one of them
02:26is so dominant.
02:27And that's what we got from Nico Collins.
