00:00The Rocky Mountain Showdown. The first time in Fort Collins since 1996. Colorado State
00:11hosts Colorado of course on a Friday night last year with the eyes of a college football
00:16country on Boulder. CU did win 43-35 but in double overtime. The Rams of CSU covering
00:25as a 24.5 point underdog. Kev, this one 7.5 points in favor of CU on the road in Fort
00:34Collins. Last week on the road in Lincoln was not good for the Buffs. 28-10. They fall
00:39flat in another rivalry against Nebraska. Come nowhere close to covering as a 7.5 point
00:45underdog. How do the Buffs bounce back in this rivalry matchup against Colorado State?
00:50This is possibly the biggest game Deion's coached at Colorado since the opening game
00:54against TCU last season. If they win in cover, they sit 2-1 entering Big 12 play, and they
01:01can tell themselves the world's right in front of them. If they lose this game, they are
01:07not only dead in the water, but at that point, why is Shadur going to stay out there and
01:11take hits? And I mentioned this a little bit in kind of some of our preseason previews.
01:15I think it's very on the board if they have a lost season that Shadur shuts it down. We
01:19all know he's going to the league next year. And also he does not care, let's call it,
01:22he doesn't care enough to stay out there and get hit by nonstop the way he buries
01:26his offensive linemen after these games. Why is Travis Hunter playing in these games? We
01:30know he's going to the league next year as well. It's very rare to have multiple top
01:3410 picks play on a 3-4 win football team, which would be the trajectory that they would
01:38be heading if they lose this game. Deion has not been able to run it up on anyone. They
01:42last year played Colorado State. Does anybody remember what that spread was?
01:45Yeah, 16-1.
01:4624-1.
01:4724-1.
01:48It was.
01:49I don't know if you teased it, bet it live. Now it's 7-1.5. We can flip home field advantage
01:55all we want. Forget spread math. I'm not betting this game. I do not trust Colorado enough
02:00to lay over a touchdown. If it was 6-1.5, I would be betting them. I'm not doing it.
02:04This is a game, though, truly. Deion, if he is a power level coach, he has them dialed,
02:11focused, and dominant here in this game.
02:14Yeah. The one concern I have in regards to Colorado is the same old. Offensive line now
02:19through two games, seven sacks. They can't run it, averaging 37 yards per game, 1.6 yards
02:25per rush. And again, they're going to need that type of effort on the road. Now, on the
02:28flip side for Colorado State, Falo Nicolisi, there you go. They averaged 306 passing yards
02:37per game last year. Averaging 138 entering this matchup.
02:42Crazy.
02:43And again, it's a rivalry game. It's at home. I'm inclined to take this 7-1.5, and I'll
02:51just say this. If we're going to alt anything today, I'm going to alt the Colorado State
02:56passing attack just because if they're going to win, this is going to be a shootout just
03:00the way it was last year. And again, I don't think this is a ground and pound. Let's get
03:04this game into the fourth quarter and win it 17-13. I would be shocked if that occurs
03:09today.
03:1033-and-a-half was the total a year ago, and to the aerial attack, Shador Sanders last
03:15year. 348 yards, four touchdowns, and an interception. Braden Falo Nicolisi, 367 yards, three touchdowns,
03:24albeit three interceptions. Torrey Horton explodes onto the scene with 16 grabs for
03:29a buck 33 and a touchdown. Last week, Shador Sanders sacked five times against Nebraska.
03:35Last year, against CSU, four sacks suffered. Colorado did allow 149 rushing yards against
03:42the Huskers a week ago, and although the passing attack has weirdly not been there for Jay
03:47Norvell and the Rams, last week, albeit FCS foe in northern Colorado, Colorado State did
03:53run for 224 yards, and Justin Marshall, their lead back, put up more than 100 against a
03:59really stout Texas front in the season opener.
