00:00It's a nine and a half point spread in favor of Colorado
00:07entering year number two under Deion Sanders taking on the
00:12best FCS program we have seen the last 15 to 20 years in
00:16college football. That's the bison of North Dakota State.
00:20Only a nine and a half point spread in favor of CU. Now,
00:24this game was probably scheduled long before Deion
00:27Sanders ever started the prime era in Boulder. But regardless
00:32of who was the guy responsible for the logistics, I cannot
00:37believe CU still has this game scheduled. A nine and a half
00:41point spread in favor of the Buffs with all of the notoriety
00:45and attention in a national slate on Thursday in a
00:51standalone, not standalone, but a national TV window for
00:55Colorado. This is how you want year number two of the Deion
00:59Sanders era to start in a very difficult matchup against NDSU.
01:04Oh, it's a referendum game for sure for at least the national
01:07public watching the game. Why do I say that? Well, if Colorado
01:11wins by 14 points, that's what they're supposed to do. They
01:13probably should have won by 20 plus, but if they lose that
01:16game, it's you gotta fire Deion. It's not working out in
01:18Colorado. So there are some interesting matchups, but also
01:21shout out college football because it's the only sport on
01:24the earth where you have like what 1011 games on your slate,
01:28but you have to schedule them 11 years out because some
01:31reason there's scheduling conflicts here. Can you
01:33imagine, Ben? If you put in just a unilateral law in
01:36college football, it says you can't even schedule into the
01:39next year. Like it'd be one thing like the NFL goes, hey,
01:41we gotta have our schedule out eight years in advance to make
01:44sure that Philadelphia can open up against the Jets in 2029.
01:47Stop the madness here, but I do find it funny and you're right.
01:50It was up to Deion Sanders and he said as much in the
01:52offseason and he's technically correct. Look when you are in a
01:55power five conference at home, you are supposed to just get a
01:58layup like that's your preseason scrimmage before you
02:01get into your regular slate. You hammer a team 42 to seven.
02:05The vibes are there. The quarterback's ready. The
02:07defense is there. The dress rehearsal is over and you're
02:10gonna get a punch right out of the gate from a team. You are
02:13supposed to be, but still would be embarrassing if you lose to
02:16that game and you're gonna get no credit for all you beat
02:19North Dakota State, who we know is a quality fine football
02:22team, but you're supposed to play Delaware State Colorado in
02:25this game to start your season off.
