00:00One of the former officials of the government who was involved in buying COVID-19 supplies during the pandemic has been arrested.
00:08In Davao City, Lloyd Christopher Lau was arrested, a former officer in charge of procurement services of the Department of Budget and Management.
00:16He was charged with the Graf case of Augusto's ombudsman.
00:20As a PSDB MOIC, they received more than P41 billion in funds from the Department of Health, which was transferred to his office to buy COVID-19 supplies in 2020.
00:33One of the overpriced COVID-19 supplies was Parmalee Pharmaceuticals, which is a large part of the investigation of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.
00:42Lau is currently under the custody of the PNP-CIDG Region 11 and is expected to pay a fine of P90,000. He has not been released yet.
00:51Senator Ysonte Veros is one of the investigators. Lau is expected to admit to Parmalee who is his big boss, who is behind the corruption of billions of pesos of COVID-19 funds.
01:04Senate Blue Ribbon Committee Chairman Richard Gordon was also arrested, where he was charged with a very low fine by the court of Lau compared to the large amount of funds he stole from the people.
