00:00Thirty-seven percent of Filipinos believe that their lives are getting better
00:06in more than a year, according to the latest survey of social weather stations.
00:12According to the survey, from June 23 to July 1,
00:16out of 1,500 respondents in the country,
00:1923 percent of respondents said their lives are getting better.
00:26While 37 percent said the same thing in the past 12 months.
00:33Net gainers, or those who believe that their lives are getting better,
00:38increased by 10 points compared to plus 5 in March and December 2023.
00:44Meanwhile, 17.6 percent of Filipino families experienced involuntary hunger,
00:51higher than 14.2 percent in March.
00:55The survey also found that 58 percent of Filipinos said they are poor,
01:03while 12 percent said they are on the borderline,
01:09and 30 percent said they are not poor.
