00:19Henny Cancilia did not wait for her house to sink to the ground.

00:24She is now safe and sound in Barangay Bagong Silangan Evacuation Center.

00:29But she is still not calm.

00:31Every now and then, she looks at the dogs that she has fed.

00:35Including the dogs of the pet bakwit that were evacuated by their far-parents.

00:41Dog, cat, big man or bulinggit.

01:07According to the Quezon City Veterinary Office,

01:10they urge the barangays to build a pet evacuation area.

01:14Especially since they want to bring pets to evacuate the residents.

01:19But of course, they will not be included with their far-parents.

01:23So now, they will be separated temporarily.

01:27Some may have allergies, some may have trauma to the pets.

01:32So we encourage them to leave their pets here in our pet evacuation center.

01:41Here, they will be given food, vitamins, vaccines and most of all, doxycycline.

01:47Because of the rain, some may have leptospirosis.

01:53Against leptospirosis, the dogs also have leptospirosis.

01:59It is a zoonotic disease that can infect humans.

02:02Symptoms of dogs with leptospirosis are redness,

02:08which is notable for them, vomiting and diarrhea.

02:13There are more than 20 pets in the pet evacuation area.

02:18There is also a mommy dog that is already giving birth there.

02:21We just want to assure them that they should leave their cages and food bowls

02:29so that other pet owners can use them.

02:32To prove that there is no abandonment of humans or pets,

02:36all of them are included in the pet evacuation area.
