00:00The Met Office have multiple thunderstorm warnings across the south of the UK this weekend.
00:05There will be hail, gusty winds, frequent lightning and intense downpours that is likely to lead to flooding.
00:12But for the north of the UK, still under the influence of high pressure,
00:16it's looking mostly fine and settled for both Saturday and Sunday,
00:19particularly across Western Scotland and Northern Ireland and North West England
00:23where there will be some bright or sunny spells.
00:25However, Eastern Scotland and North East England will be somewhat cloudier with patchy light rain and drizzle
00:31and therefore feeling cooler.
00:32Meanwhile, further south, it will be warm and humid for the rest of England and Wales
00:37and there will be bright or sunny spells but there will be showers,
00:41some of them heavy and thundery with the risk of hail and lightning
00:45and really rather intense downpours moving northwards throughout the days of Saturday and Sunday.
00:50There are warnings in force from the Met Office, mainly focused across parts of Wales, the Midlands,
00:55Central and South Western England where the most intense downpours are likely that could lead to flooding issues.
