00:05More details with our correspondent Gladys Garzá.
00:10Hi, thanks for this time for you and with the audience of Telesur English and from the south.
00:15Currently, the second edition of FITELBEN, the Telecommunications and Technology Fair 2024 here
00:21in Caracas, Venezuela is still rolling out and it will be until tomorrow, September 21st, Saturday,
00:29that will be the last day of this event. So far, the day has been just equal as yesterday because
00:36the activities program, the schedule included some talks and some master classes in two of the main
00:43halls for speakers and for the general public. As I have been reporting and Telesur has been
00:49reporting, this is an open event so people and the public in general can come in here.
00:56So it is an inclusive event not only led for the entrepreneurs and the companies and the owners
01:03of brands in technology and commerce. Also, I want to say something because this event not only
01:10engages in technology and not only showcases the power of technology and telecommunications in
01:16Venezuela, it also is a way to sort sanctions because let's recall Venezuela is enduring 930
01:23sanctions since 2015 and that's to say that people had difficulties for internet access and
01:32for telecommunications in general, but this event showcases that the government and the institutions
01:39have been doing a good management and have been trying to find other alternatives to the sanctions
01:45and to find common ways to do cooperation with brands and to bring the services to Venezuela.
01:52Also, as we have been saying all day, the conferences and the ways to be here press
01:59also to engage in internet and benefits for the people because it's not only about to bring
02:06services to Venezuela, it's also to make them popular and from wide access. This is a large
02:12event that is growing every year. The first year, 2023, it had 103 experts and people that came to
02:20display their services and possibilities and today there are 118 national companies
02:26in terms of telecommunications and still growing with more than 200 stands for expositions.
02:33Also, tomorrow is the last of the days of this event and it is seen that the talks,
02:41also the conferences, the master classes and all the topics and themes are going to turn around
02:47Venezuelan technology and Venezuela's possibilities. So, tomorrow is a day only
02:52intended for national brands and national companies that are going to showcase their
02:58achievements regarding the technology and also despite the difficulties. Let's recall that this
03:04event is not only for telephone, cell phones, communications, it's also for, and I want to
03:10set the example and the instance, maybe for the banking systems, the financial systems, the trade,
03:16the digital commerce, because all of that is engaged and supported by telecommunications also.
03:22Those were sectors that were heavily impacted by the sanctions and today they are thriving
03:27thanks to events like this and the management of the government. I want to stress something,
03:32from the 100 or out of the 118 companies, there are public companies, okay, under government or
03:40under governmental management, but there are also private companies, which talks about the
03:47initiatives of the government to engage in dual alternatives and in dual fusion of these kind of
03:54sectors. So, this is the information so far, that's what we have. Tomorrow, as I was saying, it is
04:00expected also that authorities of CONATEL, which is the Commission for Telecommunications here in
04:05Venezuela, will be present in the closing ceremony, as well as the big brands and the directors, the
04:11management and the CEOs of big and small entrepreneurs that came here to showcase
04:17what they can do in the benefit and in the favor of all Venezuela. As you can see, this is a party,
04:22this is a light party, people are dancing with artificial intelligence, people are also experiencing
04:29new connectivities and, you know, having immersive experiences with stands and games, because they
04:37have even a gamer zone here. So, this is just to invite the people that haven't come to come in
04:42here and enjoy what is going on in Caracas, Venezuela, here in the Poliedro. Now, back to you.
