00:00As-Salaam-Alaikum.
00:16Wa-Alaikum-As-Salaam.
00:18Have you finished today's homework?
00:21Yes, father, I have finished it.
00:23So, are you ready to listen to another story of the Prophet?
00:28I am always ready to listen to the stories of the Prophets.
00:32Oh, really?
00:34Inshallah.
00:36Today, I will tell you the story of the Prophet Lut.
00:40Bismillah.
00:45The story of the Prophet Lut.
00:49The story of the Prophet Lut.
00:53The Prophet Ibrahim, along with his nephew Lut and his wife Sara,
00:59left the city of Babylon.
01:02They stayed on a journey to the desert for many days.
01:06The Prophet Lut decided to go to the city of Sodom,
01:10which was on the western coast of the sea.
01:14This city was full of devils.
01:17The people of this city were very cunning,
01:20and they would attack the passers-by.
01:24The biggest evil of the devils of Sodom was that
01:28they would sleep with men instead of women.
01:34They were really very bad people.
01:37No one had committed such a big sin before this,
01:40because this used to happen in the city of Sodom.
01:43Therefore, this inhuman act was later called Sodomy.
01:48People would commit this sin without any shame.
01:53This was the time when sin and crime were at their peak.
01:58Then Allah Almighty sent His Prophet Lut
02:03to bring people back on their way.
02:06The Prophet warned them about their irresponsible behavior.
02:10But they swam deep into the sea of sin,
02:13and they did not listen to the Prophet.
02:16Then the Prophet showed them the fear of Allah's punishment.
02:20But in response, they were threatened
02:23that if they continued to speak like this,
02:25they would be thrown out of the city.
02:27The Prophet was very saddened by their behavior.
02:31Everyone had come to know of the evil deeds of the people of Sodom.
02:35The Prophet continued his efforts to correct them.
02:39Many years passed,
02:41and the Prophet continued to convey the message of Allah to the people.
02:45No one listened to him, except his family.
02:48However, not everyone in his family paid attention to him,
02:52not even his wife.
02:58Very few people believed in him.
03:01The Prophet felt unbearable at home and abroad.
03:06His life was like a constant torment.
03:10He had to face many difficulties.
03:13But the Prophet always had patience and stayed on the path of Allah.
03:18Many years passed,
03:20but no one wanted to listen to him.
03:23In fact, they would say to him,
03:26If what you are saying is true,
03:28then ask Allah to punish us.
03:32Even after many years,
03:34when people did not listen to him,
03:37they lost hope.
03:39And then Allah decided to send angels to punish the evil people of Sodom.
03:50The angels took the form of humans,
03:53and they went to the house of Abraham.
03:57Prophet Abraham and his wife Sarah were now very old.
04:02They invited the angels to their house for the feast,
04:05and the angels got ready.
04:07The Prophet served all the angels with roasted meat,
04:13but they did not even touch it.
04:16When Abraham saw that they were not even touching the food,
04:21he began to panic.
04:23Then the guests informed the Prophet that they were actually angels sent by Allah.
04:29He told them that Sarah would soon be pregnant,
04:33and a child would be born from her womb.
04:36The Prophet and his wife were very happy to hear this news.
04:41The angels told the Prophet that they should name their child Ishaq,
04:47and he would be a prophet in the future.
04:52And then the angels began to move towards the city of Sodom.
04:57They were about to reach the city,
04:59when they saw a river and began to move towards it.
05:04The first person who saw the angels there was the daughter of Lot.
05:09She was filling water by the river.
05:12When she looked up and saw them, she was amazed.
05:17She had never seen such beautiful people in her life before.
05:22She could not believe that there could be such beauty on earth.
05:27Is there a place to rest here?
05:30One of the angels asked her.
05:32Wait here, she said.
05:34She knew that if the evil people of her city saw her,
05:38they would harm these strangers.
05:41Do not enter the city until I inform my father.
05:45She said to them.
05:47Then she left her pot of water by the river and ran to inform her father.
05:54Father, there are three very beautiful and young people at the city gate.
05:59I have never seen such beautiful faces before.
06:03The Prophet was worried, and he quickly moved towards the city gate.
06:10The Prophet could not recognize them, that they were actually angels.
06:14He asked them where they were coming from and where they were going.
06:19The Prophet asked them, but they did not answer him.
06:23Instead, they asked permission to stay at the Prophet's house.
06:27The Prophet was confused.
06:29He wanted to tell these strangers that there are many evil people in the city,
06:33so they should not stay here.
06:35But he was afraid that they might be offended.
06:39Along with this, he also wanted to treat them as guests.
06:44He tried many times to make them understand,
06:47but they insisted on staying in this city.
06:50Finally, he asked the strangers to stay at the city gate until night,
06:56so that no one could see them entering the city.
06:59When it was dark, the Prophet went to the city gate and brought the strangers home.
07:06As the Prophet had thought, no one saw them.
07:10When they reached home, the Prophet's wife saw them, and they left the house quietly.
07:16No one saw them leaving the house.
07:18They ran to the people and told them that some beautiful strangers had come to their house.
07:25The news of the strangers spread like fire in the jungle.
07:28Everyone ran to the house of the Prophet to see the strangers.
07:36When Lut saw people coming to his house, he was very surprised.
07:40He did not understand how people got the news of the strangers.
07:44And when he realized that his wife was not at home,
07:48he realized that he had given the news to the people.
07:52The Prophet was very saddened by this deception.
07:56When the Prophet saw the crowd coming to his house,
07:59he immediately closed the doors, but people kept knocking on the door.
08:04He asked the strangers to leave him alone.
08:08He also warned them about the punishment of Allah.
08:12When the evil people of Sodom heard the Prophet's words,
08:16they started laughing loudly, and they broke the door.
08:20Lut tried a lot to save his guests,
08:24but he was feeling helpless in front of these merciless people.
08:29He thought that if only he had the power to save his guests.
08:33When the angels saw the Prophet disappointed,
08:36they finally told him.
08:38They said,
08:39Do not be afraid, we are angels, and these people will not harm you.
08:44When the crowd heard this from the angels,
08:46they ran away from the Prophet's house in fear.
08:48They ran to their houses, speaking ill of the Prophet.
08:52Then the angels told Prophet Lut to leave the city before dawn.
09:00He advised everyone in the house to go with him,
09:03except the wife, who had deceived the Prophet.
09:08Lut, peace be upon him, left the city in fear,
09:11as the angels had told him.
09:14He had only two daughters with him,
09:16because she was the only one who believed in him.
09:22When dawn came,
09:23Allah began to destroy the worst city in the world.
09:29First of all, there was an earthquake,
09:31which shook the whole city.
09:34It felt as if a great power had lifted the whole city up.
09:39And then, in a sudden shock, everything was destroyed.
09:44After that, Allah sent such a storm,
09:47that the city began to rain stones.
09:50All the people of the city were destroyed,
09:53including the Prophet's wife.
10:00From the map of the world,
10:01the name and sign of Sodom had been erased.
10:04No one could survive there,
10:06except the Prophet and his daughters.
10:10Then Lut, peace be upon him,
10:12went to his uncle, Ibrahim, peace be upon him.
10:15And he told him the whole incident that took place in Sodom.
10:20But Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him,
10:22already knew everything,
10:24because the angels had told him everything.
10:27Lut, peace be upon him,
10:28kept calling people to follow the path of Allah.
10:32And so did Ibrahim, peace be upon him,
10:35for a very long time.
10:39This was really a wonderful story, father.
10:42Mashallah, I am glad you liked it.
10:45But I have a question.
10:47Yes, yes, ask.
10:48What was the relationship between Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him,
10:50and Lut, peace be upon him?
10:53Prophet Lut, peace be upon him,
10:54was the nephew of Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him.
10:58Oh, I remember. Thank you.
11:01Okay, are you ready for the questions now?
11:05I am ready.
11:07Yes, so tell me,
11:09what crime did the people of Sodom commit?
11:13First, Sodomy.
11:15Second, theft.
11:17And third, idolatry.
11:21That was Sodomy.
11:24This is the right answer.
11:26Very good.
11:27And now the next question.
11:29Who were those three strangers
11:31who came to the land of Sodom?
11:34They were angels.
11:36Mashallah, such a quick answer.
11:39Okay, and now the next question.
11:42When the angels came to the city gates,
11:45who saw them first?
11:48The daughter of the Prophet saw the angels first.
11:53Again, the right answer.
11:55Why did the Prophet not call the strangers to his house immediately?
12:00Why did he tell them to wait till night?
12:05The strangers were very beautiful,
12:07and the Prophet knew that
12:09if the evil people of Sodom saw them,
12:11they would definitely harm them.
12:13That is why he told them to wait till night.
12:18Mashallah.
12:19Very good, Amir.
12:21Very good, my child.
12:23And that is all for today.
12:25Tomorrow, I will tell you the story of another Prophet.
