00:00The winter fuel allowance for pensioners should be restored.
00:04It's the wrong decision, it's the wrong choice to have made
00:07to have cut the winter fuel allowance for some pensioners.
00:10And really it doesn't matter what happens in this hall,
00:12this in a sense is a bubble, it's the band club.
00:14It's really what's happening outside this hall that's really important.
00:17And there is huge anger there.
00:19I think you need to listen to what people are saying and to move on this issue.
00:23I think people are sort of bemused actually.
00:25I mean they don't understand how we've chosen
00:28to pick the pocket of pensioners
00:30rather than to go to the most wealthiest in our society.
00:34The richest 50 families in Britain are worth £500 billion.
00:39So they haven't been touched at all.
00:41Yet you're taking £300 to save £1.4 billion, a peanut,
00:45off of the most vulnerable in our society.
00:47It's completely and utterly wrong and I think people are bemused by it.
