00:00Let's talk about Iran as well, Philip.
00:02We're just hearing from the Iranian supreme leader, in fact, in the last few moments,
00:06Ali Khamenei, saying killing valuable members of Hezbollah, as he put it,
00:11will not bring Hezbollah to its knees.
00:14Iran's president also spoke at the UN.
00:17Let's hear what he had to say.
00:20We have been siding with the people across the world
00:22who have flooded the streets in outrage against the Israeli atrocities.
00:26We condemn Israeli crimes against humanity.
00:30It is imperative that the international community should immediately stop the violence
00:33and bring about a permanent ceasefire in Gaza,
00:36and bring an end to the desperate barbarism of Israel in Lebanon
00:39before it engulfs the region and the world.
00:47Lots of vocals from Iran over the last 24 hours.
00:50What kind of Iran role is Iran playing, do you think, in all this?
00:53I think it's quite interesting in that statement you just mentioned before
00:56from the supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei,
00:59who says that whatever Israel tries to do, it won't affect Hezbollah.
01:04It's Iran that is supplying the money, $700 million a year, to Hezbollah from Iran.
01:12And whatever's happened so until now,
01:14with all the destruction of the walkie-talkies last week,
01:18and the pagers knocking out the communication system of Hezbollah,
01:22the killing of these three Hezbollah leaders,
01:23they're still firing rockets into Israel.
01:27And we saw one today earlier that was destined for Tel Aviv,
01:30which is a quite disturbing development,
01:32because it means that Iran is telling Hezbollah,
01:33yes, you can now fire rockets as far as Tel Aviv.
01:36So just how much of destruction is Israel actually able to inflict on Hezbollah?
01:42Despite what it's doing, Hezbollah still appears able to fight back.
01:46And that's a worrying development if Israel pushes further,
01:48for example, wanting to launch a ground offensive.
01:51Philip, thanks very much.
