European Council president Charles Michel calls for Security Council reform

The EU council chief says 'a permanent seat on the Security Council is not a privilege. It is a responsibility.'

00:31Today, some of these members are not living up to their responsibility.

00:38The Security Council must be reformed to make it more inclusive, more legitimate and more

00:44effective.

00:45French President Emmanuel Macron shared a similar sentiment.

01:15Speaking on the war in Gaza, Macron urged for an immediate ceasefire and advocated for

01:26a two-state solution.

01:29He added that all parties must respect their obligations along the blue line and that a

01:33war must and cannot break out in Lebanon.
