00:00Derrick Rose, the youngest MVP in league history
00:05after 15 NBA seasons is retiring.
00:11Derrick Rose hanging him up after being waived
00:14by the Memphis Grizzlies a couple days ago
00:16and no other interest perhaps around the league.
00:21That's the sad part of it.
00:23I mean, is Derrick retiring or has he been retired?
00:27Probably could try to hang on, make a roster,
00:30see what he's got left, choosing to walk away
00:33or maybe the game chose to ignore him,
00:35whatever the case may be.
00:37Big day for Chicago basketball
00:39when Derrick Rose says enough's enough.
00:41Derrick Rose retiring, boy, that is something.
00:47One day, I think his number will be hanging
00:49in the rafters at the United Center.
00:53Retiring his jersey seems to make a lot of sense.
00:56What a great player.
00:58What a terrific player.
00:59When he was a young man, pre-injury, it was unbelievable.
01:03You know, that's the thing about Derrick Rose's career.
01:05You look back and it's bittersweet,
01:07the memories because of all that he did accomplish
01:10and yet all that he was unable to accomplish
01:12because of the injury.
01:13April 28th, 2012.
01:16I can never get that memory or that date out of my head.
01:20He went down at the United Center against the Sixers
01:23in a playoff game and he was never
01:25the same player after that.
