00:00time to kind of put together some predictions. I have what I think is going to happen mapped
00:08out over the course of four days. How do you want to do this? Do you want to kind of do
00:12you want to kind of sketch out what you think from score wise? Do you want me to start?
00:15Well, I think it would be cool to to maybe do what's what's do you know, the highest
00:20point getter for each team, I think is a fun way to like that to kind of like lead us into
00:24love that, you know, who's who's going to be the surprise player that steps up and has
00:30a very good President's Cup that that you wouldn't expect. So in that category outside
00:36the top guys, and yeah, I think from there, we can kind of settle in on a on who's going
00:41to win the President's Cup, give a score, which I wonder is like the point availability
00:46so that I can get like the because it's 14 and a half. Is that when it for you? It's
00:52so here's I'll do go by sessions, right? So you can understand how many points are available
00:57for us. And then you can tie it up in there. So obviously, there are five matches played
01:01in four ball on Thursday, and it is just a four ball session on Thursday, unlike the
01:05Ryder Cup, where you have two sessions on Friday to show two sessions on Saturday. And
01:11then and that's that's probably it's probably worth going over that in full format. So people
01:14at home, many of you already know how this works. But just so you can understand, in
01:18the Ryder Cup on Friday and Saturday, there are both four ball and for some sessions.
01:23And then on Sunday, it just it's obviously your 12 singles matches for the President's
01:28Cup. It's of course a four day competition. So we just discussed how Thursday and Friday,
01:33the home captain gets to choose which of those two formats is played first. And instead of
01:37four matches, it's five matches. So this week, it's going to be on Thursday, the international
01:43team smartly electing to play four ball first, there'll be five four ball matches on Thursday,
01:48followed by five foursomes matches on Friday, otherwise known as all shot. And then Saturday
01:54is where they cut both of those down into what feels more like a Ryder Cup format for
01:58matches for each session. Morning will be four ball afternoon will be foursomes. And
02:03then of course, your 12 singles matches on Sunday. So smiley just it goes by five and
02:08then eight total on Saturday and 12 on Sunday. Not a math pod hashtag not a math pod. Yeah,
02:15that didn't answer anything for me. I didn't answer anything. I thought that was I thought
02:18that was so well done. Well, I think you set it up. Great. I just just 30 to 30 total points
02:25available. There you go. We do we get there. Okay, so you need 15 and a half. Is that right?
02:35That's correct. That's correct. Why does it? Why does 14 and a half come to my brain?
02:38And that's that's because that's the Ryder Cup, right? Yeah, yeah. You need 14 to win,
02:43but I think it's 14 and a half to like to get the cup back. Right. Yes. If you're holding
02:48the cup, which is the same for this, I assume if the US wins 15 points this week, they retain.
02:53Got it. So there you go. All right, guys, do you want to go first? So we're going to
02:58start with both teams, the leading point getter on those teams. Okay. All right. So I'm going to
03:06start with the international team here. And I think Sung jm is going to be the lead point
03:13getter for that team. Just felt like he had a couple, you know, aberrations this year in majors.
03:18But he had just that that incredibly solid stretch. He seems like a very kind of even keel
03:24guy that's just going to keep chugging. And not to say that, you know, a Canadian or even like a
03:30rookie like men will he couldn't really feel the atmosphere and the energy and use that to propel
03:35themselves to, you know, winning three, four, you know, five matches. But I just feel like he's the
03:40guy that has the best chance of just keeping it nice and calm and steady and winning picking off
03:45like, you know, three matches, maybe having another, that's who I think is going to be the
03:50lead point getter on the international side. On the American side, this is kind of like a tricky
03:55one. Because, you know, obviously, your mind wants to go to Scotty Scheffler, but doesn't hasn't had
04:02the greatest record in team competitions the last two times out. You know, there are some obviously,
04:10I think the goal is going to have a huge President's Cup, but as a rookie, it's tough to kind of put
04:14your eggs in that basket out of the gate. So I'm going to kind of I'm going to go call him more
04:18here. I mean, just another guy phenomenal season should have won the tour championship without
04:24starting strokes. A guy that I think is going to come in really hungry as though as you know,
04:29you were talking about Scottie Zander and Colin being your big three, so to speak, you know,
04:33those other two guys have three of the four majors that were won this year. So I think Colin's gonna
04:37be a guy that's gonna want to come in and prove a big point this week. So I think he's gonna win
04:41the most points on the American side. All right. I was probably gonna take home workout assault,
04:47just take somebody else differently. I love Colin for the reasons of, of just accuracy off the tee,
04:53eliminating the left side of the golf course. And I think the putter too, I like them on these greens
04:59and just, you know, getting into the tighter sections. That's why I like Colin. But to go
05:04outside of somebody, you know, I mean, to me, I don't like Xander's much this week, because over,
05:12you know, I think over the last couple of months, if there was a miss that he had,
05:16it was left, you know, that, that seemed to be a miss that he had, but I still love him on these
05:21greens. I would prefer probably Scottie over him. But that's kind of boring, right? You don't want
05:28me to say Scottie, but I'm going to give you Scottie Sheffler. It's a leading point getter.
05:32And the international side, I want to give you Hideki Matsuyama. And the reason why I'm not is
05:37I think Hideki is going to be up to the biggest challenge. I think he's going to be playing
05:42the best that, that the United States puts out. I don't know how they do the, like,
05:46if they just have put their five in order and then put it out.
05:49Or they kind of go back and forth in that session that I believe happens on Wednesday,
05:54um, where the, where they kind of draft it in, in, um, I don't know if they do it snake,
05:59like they put out there. It's anyways, I just assume they do a draft. Like it's like a,
06:03you know, it was a back and forth thing. Yeah. Yeah. I think they're going to put
06:06Hideki against their best. And I think that makes it a little bit more challenging to win.
06:10The points are to be the highest point getter because you're just,
06:13it'd be really difficult to take down USA's best every single session.
06:19So it's like, who's the guy that's going to be maybe like drawing different, you know,
06:24drawing rookies, drawing different match-ups every day. And my, my brain kind of takes me to,
06:30it wants, I want to take Tom Kim just because I feel like this golf course really suits his game.
06:37It's a really straight, um, and going to have, and going to have plenty of opportunities. And
06:42I'm going to go with Tom Kim for that reason. Um, although the form isn't necessarily like,
06:50like it doesn't say that on paper, but my gut feeling is that Tom Kim is going to have a
06:55tremendous president's cup and I'm predicting him to score the most points for the international team.
