Agri-food companies generate an enormous amount of waste, which often complicates hygiene management. To remedy this problem, Célia FIOGBE has set up a biomethanisation system through her company, "Agro Dymanique Food and Services" (ADFS).

Célia FIOGBE offers agri-food businesses the chance to produce their own energy using their production waste. The biodigester proposed by ADFS is a buried content type biodigester topped with a dome.

Célia FIOGBE hopes that her biomethanisation solution will be adopted by many agri-food units. For her, it's a way of making the environment healthier.

00:00I started very early as a geotechnician.
00:07I noticed that in the agri-food world,
00:10we produce a lot of waste,
00:12that the industries that offer this waste
00:15often have a hard time finding the right sites
00:20that really meet their needs.
00:31A metallization unit allows this company,
00:35which is in the agri-food sector,
00:39which produces a lot of waste,
00:41and which also has a great need for energy,
00:44to be able to degrade this waste
00:47and produce its own biogas, agrodynamics.
00:51We are in the transformation of farm products.
00:54It is already from our activity that we noticed
00:57that we have a great need for energy,
01:00both electrical energy and fuel energy.
01:03We produce a lot of waste,
01:05and this waste prevents us from really
01:09managing hygiene within our company.
01:20Agrodynamics, for a few years now,
01:22has started to offer agri-food units
01:26that allow them to degrade their waste
01:29by producing their own energy.
01:31As soon as these companies contact us,
01:34we send them a diagnostic file
01:37that allows them to have an idea
01:40of their real energy needs
01:43in relation to their ability to produce waste.
01:52At present, Agrodynamics is a pilot site.
01:55This allows us to bring our prospects
01:58to really discover, to touch the reality
02:01of a biomethanization unit.
02:05The construction of a biodigester is done in four stages.
02:09The first stage is the BTP part.
02:11The second stage is the biological part.
02:14The third stage is the food and storage part.
02:17And the fourth stage is energy efficiency.
02:20The biodigester that DFS offers
02:22is a continuous type biodigester.
02:24It's a fruit on top of a dome.
02:26It's a biodigester that is made up of three parts.
02:29There is a feeding tank,
02:31where the waste enters the system.
02:33There is a fermentation tank,
02:35where the waste will degrade
02:37under the effect of microorganisms.
02:39And then there is a fluid tank.
02:45In ten years' time,
02:47we hope that the biomethanization solution
02:50will be adopted in all agri-food units
02:53to contribute to sanitation
02:55of all agri-food waste
02:57to make the environment a little more livable.
