00:00Hey, how you doing? My name's Scott. I am General Manager here at BAD, Barrows Art and Design.
00:06Great venue, lovely place, right in the heart of the Barrows, the East End. It's all about people
00:12here but it's also about good food, good drinks, good times and having a good laugh. BAD is probably
00:19one of the more unique venues throughout the city and I've worked in the city most of my life.
00:24BAD is about people. It's not about generating money and generating PR or anything like that.
00:33It's about people. That's what the East End's about. That's what the Barrows market's about.
00:36It runs on people. It runs on good people, delivering great service to really good people
00:41who want to shout about your business. Here at BAD we do everything from comedy nights and Q&A
00:48with footballers, actors, comedians, all the way to raves, day discos and everything in between.
00:55We enjoy delivering so many different events. Week in, week out. You never get two weeks the
01:00same, particularly here in BAD. It's fun chaos but it's chaos all the same. We love it because
01:07we've got good people around about us and good people shout about our events, good people shout
01:11about our food and drink. We've got good people who look after us in this community and we're
01:15really trying to better our way into that. This is from our Snapper Bros food concept.
01:21Snapper Bros is all about having great Scottish seafood produce and delivering it the way you want.
01:25So we can deep fry everything, we grill everything as well and it all comes with our Kauffman fries.
01:31Now these are fresh Scottish prawns here, grilled with garlic butter. One of the biggest sellers
01:37alongside the half lobster, which we also deliver the exact same way. Now the whole concept about
01:42the food market, well the food we do at BAD here is when it comes packaged, it's all about just
01:47being very rustic, really cool and you know what, there's always space to take something home.
01:52So this is one of our Nana Said pizzas that we do here. You might recognise Nana from the
01:56Merchant City, we have a full restaurant here. We've got a little sub-restaurant within BAD
02:01delivering some great Nana Said pizza. Probably one of the best recognised Glasgow pizza brands
02:05about. It's all about crust of the dough and having that perfect and our director of food,
02:10John, he's went so much labour. I love getting this dough absolutely perfect and we're all
02:16for these weird and wacky toppings. A little bit of veggie option we do right across all our food
02:20brands here. This is a falafel shawarma, it's been awesomely designed. It's all about flavour for
02:25this stuff and it's, like I said before, it's all about having good food that works with so many
02:30good drinks. People love it here for our cool beer gardens, our range of beers, our range of wines,
02:35our range of spirits, but it needs some really cool food to go along with it
02:39and this is what shawarma boy is all about.
