00:05All right guys, in today's video, we're going to be talking about how to know if your email

00:09has gotten hacked.

00:11Let's get into this.

00:12There's a telltale signs that come up.

00:14One of them, your friends and family members will actually get emails from you.

00:19They can go to a website.

00:21They could be a file that you're asking to download anything.

00:26That's a telltale sign because I get into your email, that doesn't mean I have access

00:30to your computer because your email is being hosted on a cloud server, so I have access

00:35to your email.

00:36I have access to your address book.

00:37I can send my back doors to a bunch of people.

00:40This is a trusted email.

00:42People will be more likely to open it and download the file.

00:46Now you download that file.

00:48That's a virus.

00:49So I have access to everybody who is in your family, your friends, everybody on your address

00:54list.

00:55They now have access to their computer through a back door.

00:58This is actually one of the methods the I love you virus spread and caused millions

01:03of dollars in damages.

01:05Another sign, you'll get alerts.

01:07So you have a secondary email account you can put on your main one.

01:11So if you forget your information on your main one, the secondary email will allow you

01:16to authenticate in there.

01:17Pay attention to that secondary email because you'll get a lot of alerts saying that a new

01:23device has access to your email, new location, passwords have been changed, email has been

01:30changed.

01:31You'll see all of these alerts in your secondary email.

01:35The reason why I say your second and not your first email is mainly because a hacker has

01:41access to your email, one of your emails already.

01:45They will easily just go in there and delete all the alerts or set all the alerts for spam

01:49so you'll never see them come through.

01:54Those alerts will tell you that someone's in your account.

01:57See password requests, alerts will come up as well like, Hey, someone's trying to change

02:01a password or someone's requesting to change a password because hackers try to brute force

02:07into accounts.

02:09That is another way you can tell that your email has actually been hacked.

02:13Now let me just throw this tidbit out there.

02:17Just because I'm in your email doesn't mean that I'm going to log you out.

02:21I can literally gain access in your email mainly because of an exploit that the email

02:27providers are having nowadays to where if you sim spoof someone's account and you don't

02:34know the password, you get it wrong so many times, you can actually request just to have

02:39temporary access into that account.

02:42That's an exploit we can use to get into your email.

02:45We won't even log you out.

02:46If you're not logged out, you're not going to be suspicious.

02:50I'll keep you logged in.

02:52I'll go to your address list.

02:54I'll get your private emails.

02:58Then I'm going to send another email to you from a totally different account trying to

03:01blackmail you because now I have pictures of you being naked could be some you know

03:07it could be some real sexual stuff that you have on there.

03:10Now I have that.

03:11I'm a blackmail you.

03:12I'm going to say listen, I'm going to send this over to your kids school unless you give

03:17me $3,000.

03:19Let me be honest here, just because you females are only fans, it's not going to attribute

03:24to you.

03:25There are some women is very respectable and they don't want their bodies being seen.

03:29Not just women, men, it doesn't matter.

03:32So pretty much you are pretty much talking about.

03:36Now I have access to all of these files.

03:39I'm going to blackmail you.

03:40You're going to continue to pay me.

03:42I guess I could see into your kids school.

03:44Let's say if you're cheating on your spouse, right?

03:48I can easily say, Hey, I'll ruin your marriage right now if you don't pay me $2,000 and this

03:55is actually really dangerous for males because when a divorce, the female gets half of the

04:01money.

04:02So if a dude is cheating, he's not going to want her to find out, divorce him, take his

04:05house so he will be more likely to pay that 3000.

04:09I mean women do it too, but I'm just saying this is how you know your email got taken

04:14over.

04:15We're going to blackmail you and I'm going to make sure you give me everything in that

04:18bank account.

04:19Otherwise I'm going to destroy your life.
