00:00:06Share my love to you
00:00:12In the next generation, my voice will not be muted
00:00:20Share my love to you
00:00:51Ladies and gentlemen, the next piece is the love song of musician Ngoc Trong
00:00:56But before enjoying that piece, we would like to invite you to meet the composer himself
00:01:01Musician Ngoc Trong
00:01:10I would like to say hello to the audience of Paribas Night and Kizun
00:01:17It has been a long time since I last saw you on the stage of Paribas Night
00:01:26It has been more than 20 years since you composed this piece
00:01:32More than 20 years, ladies and gentlemen
00:01:34After the first period, from the sadness of love, this is the second period
00:01:41I was inspired to write this piece in 1992-1993
00:01:48Do you still compose music now?
00:01:53I think it is very difficult for those who have a passion to write music to stop
00:02:01I have a habit, when I feel inspired, I keep writing
00:02:08Writing music is an easy part, but the hard part is to promote the piece
00:02:15Because in our industry, the vehicle is relatively small, it is not the whole country
00:02:19So I still write, and when I feel inspired, I still keep those pieces
00:02:24And I really hope that in the future, the centers will help popularize
00:02:29Now I would like to ask you honestly
00:02:32There are many musicians who write their own music
00:02:37Do you find it difficult to write your own music?
00:02:41Or did someone ask you to write a piece for a show?
00:02:46Do you find it difficult to write your own music?
00:02:51First of all, don't think that writing a piece for a show is bad
00:03:00When you have written a piece to a certain level, it becomes a habit
00:03:04We see that American composers, when they write a piece for a show
00:03:09They don't know how it will turn out
00:03:12They just say it in a way, but the composer has the ability to write a piece
00:03:17And those pieces are still a hit, they are still successful
00:03:20I have been writing music for 30 years
00:03:26I have been in the industry for quite a long time
00:03:29I have practiced that habit
00:03:31So I can write whenever I feel inspired
00:03:36And I can write on deadline
00:03:38That means I can finish a piece in a week
00:03:41Or I can write on a theme
00:03:43Or I can write a song
00:03:45Thank you so much
00:03:46I hope I can hear more of your new pieces
00:03:49Now, let's come back to a piece that has been in our hearts for a long time
00:03:56It's called Tình trong dĩ vãng
00:03:57It was performed by the male singer Nguyễn Hưng
00:04:01And next to it is a very special performance by Hoàng Mỹ An
00:04:15Tình trong dĩ vãng
00:04:45Tình trong dĩ vãng
00:05:15Tình trong dĩ vãng
00:05:45Tình trong dĩ vãng
00:05:50Tình trong dĩ vãng
00:05:55Tình trong dĩ vãng
00:06:00Tình trong dĩ vãng
00:06:05Tình trong dĩ vãng
00:06:10Tình trong dĩ vãng
00:06:24Tình trong dĩ vãng
00:06:59It's been a long time since I've felt this much pain
00:07:04Life still divides us
00:07:09A little regret for a moment
00:07:14A glass of wine, a glass of wine
00:07:18It's been a long time since I've felt this much pain
00:07:23Memories of the past still linger
00:07:28I will never forget our love
00:07:33Don't make my heart ache
00:07:38Once we're drunk, how much love
00:07:45Once we're drunk
00:07:49Our love
00:08:12We're out of music, no need to hug for so long
00:08:16Ladies and gentlemen, that's the real Hoang My An
00:08:20The dance earlier was not the real Hoang My An
00:08:24Especially Nguyen Hung
00:08:26You can see Nguyen Hung's dance
00:08:29I've been in Paribas Night for a year
00:08:32Nguyen Hung has been in Paribas Night for 25 years
00:08:36The important thing is the dance of a 61-year-old
00:08:40Wonderful
00:08:43Nguyen Hung has been practicing hard
00:08:47He's been practicing gym, dancing and singing every day
00:08:52Hoang My An is the youngest singer
00:08:57He's only 20
00:08:59He's good at dancing and has a lot of strength
00:09:03But Nguyen Hung is still as good as other young dancers
00:09:07I admire that
00:09:09Nguyen Hung
00:09:11Ms. Ky Duyen gave me some funny stories
00:09:15First of all, it's from Tran Quoc Huy
00:09:18A young man was beaten to death by his wife
00:09:21He had to go to the hospital
00:09:23An old man was lying in bed next to the middle room
00:09:27He heard this young man talking to his wife
00:09:30He was beaten so badly that he couldn't eat
00:09:33Last month, a young man came here
00:09:35He was beaten to death
00:09:37He was beaten so badly that he couldn't recognize his face
00:09:41He was beaten so badly that he couldn't recognize his face
00:09:42So don't be sad
00:09:44The young man heard this and cried
00:09:46He said, the young man didn't recognize his face last month
00:09:50He said, the young man didn't recognize his face last month
00:09:54He has a gentle wife
00:09:56He comes to his house once a month
00:09:58The second story
00:10:00A painter exhibited paintings
00:10:02But there were too many guests
00:10:04Until noon, a guest came to see the painting
00:10:07The guest stood in front of the painting
00:10:09He was overwhelmed
00:10:11The painter stepped to his hand
00:10:13The guest said
00:10:15I'm hungry, the more I look at this painting
00:10:19The painter asked
00:10:21I drew the sun, why are you hungry?
00:10:24The guest said
00:10:26The sun? I thought it was an omelette
00:10:35When you go to a modern art museum
00:10:39I was embarrassed
00:10:42I was so tired
00:10:44I saw a white chair
00:10:46I sat in the middle of a white house
00:10:48The security staff said
00:10:50That's not a piece of art
00:10:52You can't sit on that chair
00:10:54They display the chair
00:10:57For exhibition, for people to see or buy
00:11:00I didn't know, so I sat on it
00:11:02I drew a lot of paintings
00:11:04I thought it was an omelette
00:11:06So I sympathize with him
00:11:08This is a piece of music
00:11:10Ha Thuong by Han Chau
00:11:12Through a song
00:11:14You've loved for many years

00:13:11To show me the way
00:13:17We've been apart for so many years
00:13:24But our hearts are still the same

00:14:15Nhu Quynh
00:14:31When summer comes
00:14:33I'll be sad
00:14:37Who will be there for me
00:14:41To show me the way
00:14:47We've been apart for so many years
00:14:54But our hearts are still the same

00:16:04With my little love
00:16:35Thank you
00:16:40Ladies and gentlemen
00:16:43You know that this year
00:16:46The Russian Center celebrates its 35th anniversary
00:16:50But we celebrate it in a special way
00:16:56There are 3 festivals
00:16:57The first one was held in May
00:17:00At Mystic Lake in Minnesota
00:17:03We invited the singers
00:17:08Who had been famous in Paris by Night
00:17:10This is the second one
00:17:12We pay attention to the dances
00:17:16Especially the ones about ethnic culture
00:17:19And the third one
00:17:20Will be held on the 15th and 16th
00:17:23In Las Vegas
00:17:24In those 3 festivals
00:17:26We only have this one
00:17:29But we'd like to
00:17:31Invite you to watch
00:17:36One of the 2 shows
00:17:38On the 15th and 16th
00:17:40At the old theater
00:17:42In Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas
00:17:44Ladies and gentlemen
00:17:45You may ask
00:17:46Why do we have 3 festivals?
00:17:49To be honest
00:17:51The artists who participated
00:17:53In the 35th anniversary
00:17:55Were so many
00:17:56And there were many scenes
00:17:58For example
00:18:00If we didn't have this theme
00:18:04We wouldn't be able to thank
00:18:07The Paris by Night dance
00:18:09When we first came to Paris by Night
00:18:12We only invited 1 or 2 dancers
00:18:16To perform for the singers
00:18:19But in the 24th anniversary
00:18:2110 years in Saritos
00:18:22We started to invite dancers
00:18:24From an agency in Hollywood
00:18:28At first, many people thought
00:18:31They were Vietnamese
00:18:32But actually they were Asian
00:18:34Ladies and gentlemen
00:18:35Once again, we'd like to invite you
00:18:38To watch the 3rd show
00:18:41With the Thuy Nga family
00:18:44On the 15th and 16th
00:18:46In Las Vegas
00:18:52Ladies and gentlemen
00:18:53We'd like to invite you to enjoy the play
00:18:56The theme of this play is
00:18:59The art of art
00:19:01I asked Hong Dao
00:19:02Who was the director
00:19:04Hong Dao said
00:19:06You can just say Thuy Nga
00:19:08No one is the director
00:19:10I said if you said no one is the director
00:19:13The play wouldn't be that good
00:19:15So you wouldn't dare to watch it
00:19:16But when I watched it
00:19:18I thought it was a very good play
00:19:21So I'd like to confirm
00:19:23The art of art by Hong Dao
00:19:25With the performances of Hong Dao
00:19:27Trang Thanh Lan, Nguyen Hong Nhung and Ha Thanh Xuan

00:26:03Ms. Thi
00:26:04Yes
00:26:05I tell you, in this life
00:26:07We help each other
00:26:09We never let others help us
00:26:12Yes
00:26:15See?
00:26:17It's not interesting
00:26:20In this life, we have to let others help us
00:26:25To know what true love is
00:26:27Do you know what true love is?
00:26:29All musicians have good songs
00:26:33Because they're talented
00:26:35All musicians have good songs
00:26:37Because they're talented
00:26:39And those who write about ghosts
00:26:42Because they're afraid of ghosts
00:26:45So Mr.Nguyen is afraid of ghosts
00:26:48I don't know about ghosts, but I'm afraid of my wife
00:26:53Come on, you're practicing here
00:26:55He must have hugged a billion girls

00:56:40Our very own choreographer Miss Shonda Sawyer
00:56:55Hello Shonda
00:56:56First of all, on behalf of Paris by Night
00:57:00I have this commemorative plaque to give to you
00:57:05We'd like to say thank you for all your creativity
00:57:09Your hard working, you work with us with all of your heart
00:57:14I know you work through all the pain
00:57:16Sometime when just as recently when your mom was very sick
00:57:20But you still come through for us
00:57:22Yesterday I know you sprained your ankle but you're still standing here
00:57:27So thank you for being such a great part of Paris by Night
00:57:31Thank you
00:57:33And thank you to everybody here today
00:57:37And everyone around the world that will watch this
00:57:39For being such loyal supporters of Paris by Night for all these years
00:57:43It just means the world to us that you are there
00:57:47And that you love what we do and you support what we do
00:57:50So thank you, thank you so much
00:57:56I guess my first question is just like the last number
00:58:01How did you learn all of the traditional movements
00:58:05Especially Mai Tin Dung numbers or Huong Thuy
00:58:08With a lot of that
00:58:10How did you learn all of that different movements?
00:58:14Well you know originally when I came to Paris by Night
00:58:16I worked with some of the singers who had training in Vietnam
00:58:20Who had worked as dancers
00:58:21Ai Van, Huong Thuy, Nhu Quynh of course
00:58:26People that really had some knowledge of Vietnamese traditional dance
00:58:30And then of course I researched and continued to educate myself
00:58:34But I think what's been wonderful about this opportunity
00:58:37With Paris by Night is to bring in the more contemporary forms of dance
00:58:42To combine with the traditional
00:58:44Like with Mai Tin Dung we're doing kind of a Mongolian way of dancing
00:58:49But combining it with hip hop and some kind of jazz
00:58:53And with Huong Thuy today we did the Khmer
00:58:56But of course we combined it with more contemporary
00:58:59And kind of more technical things
00:59:02So that's been incredibly fun for myself and the dancers
00:59:06Well for sure you've made all these very traditional dance like pop out
00:59:10You know it's very catching
00:59:12I also know that besides being a choreographer
00:59:16You've also direct TV shows
00:59:18You've also worked in big show arena like a Marvel Universe 5
00:59:22How does that compare with working with Paris by Night?
00:59:26Well Paris by Night the thing that's incredibly special about Paris by Night
00:59:31That everyone will say is that it's a family
00:59:33And it's not just the family of incredible artists and technicians
00:59:38And people that work here on the show
00:59:40But the family around the world
00:59:42The Vietnamese communities who have always watched Paris by Night
00:59:46You know whose children have learned Vietnamese sometimes
00:59:49By watching Paris by Night
00:59:51And who support the culture of Vietnam
00:59:55And continuing to celebrate it and continuing to evolve it
