Emily in Paris: Lidl sells out of merchandise from the smash Netflix series
Emily in Paris is the ultimate example of 'ambient viewing' - our reporter Sophie Mei Lan Malin went to track down some of the merchandise now sold in Lidl stores.

00:00So for those of you who don't know Emily in Paris, it's about a girl called Emily who moves from Chicago to Paris to live the life of a marketing executive.
00:10And on the terms of marketing, we are now about to see the new Emily in Paris range here at Lidl.
00:18We went to Normanton's Lidl in West Yorkshire to try and track down any of the Emily in Paris range.
00:26I did find a lot of cheese twists, puffs, truffles and even beauty products, not to mention home decor.
00:35And I did take the little one with me so we could buy a jigsaw.
00:39A lot of the Emily in Paris range has already sold out of Lidl.
00:43Yes, we're a little bit too slow at the game, but what we did get, lots of puff pastry twists.
00:51We got Emmental and cheddar cheese.
00:53I've got a lovely decorative LED light.
00:57Yeah, more puff pastry, goat's cheese and rosemary.
01:02So see how big fans our kids are, if they will actually eat that, I do not know.
01:07Even Emily in Paris has her own jigsaw.
01:11Yeah, you like that one, don't you, Fina Bobs?
01:15We bought crepes, French breadsticks, Emily in Paris has nail polish.
01:20Yeah, so we'll be having an ultimate pamper night.
01:24And to finish that off, we've got some gorgeous scented candles too.
01:29So shall we have a sniff of these?
01:33We're painting our nails, having some bites to eat, Parisian style.

01:42These are nice. Oh, see, these are very nice.
01:44C'est chic, it says.
01:46Oh, that does smell very good.
01:48I'm all about a nice bit of homeware.
01:51Emily in Paris, there we have it.
01:55As the Chicago lass who moved over to Paris, got her own range.
02:01And this is apparently called Ambient TV.
02:04So basically TV where you can scroll on your phone and you still don't lose the plot line.
02:09But also even the images, if you look at it, it's all like skyscrapers, drone shots of Paris and all very beautiful.
02:17So it is literally like scrolling through somebody's travel blog.
02:21Well, not like my travel blog, like a proper travel blogger.
02:25And then chocolate truffles.
02:27Now they look my cup of tea.
02:29This is like the ultimate girly sleepover.
02:32And some more nail polish.
02:34So you can even get, there's all sorts of ranges that we missed out on.
02:39You can get t-shirts, towels, all sorts of Emily in Paris gear.
