00:00Vice President Kamala Harris spoke at a rally in Las Vegas Sunday about the damage wrought by Hurricane Helene.
00:05We will stand with these communities for as long as it takes to make sure that they are able to recover and rebuild.
00:12Earlier today, I received an operational briefing from FEMA Director Criswell.
00:18More than 3,300 federal personnel have been mobilized.
00:22We are deploying food, water, and generators and working to restore water and power.
00:30And the President and I have told state and local leaders we will provide whatever help they need in the days and weeks ahead.
00:42According to ABC News, the storm has killed at least 91 people and isolated many, including residents of Asheville, North Carolina.
00:48Politico reports that former President Trump announced Sunday that he will be visiting the storm's aftermath in Valdosta, Georgia this week.
00:55President Biden and Vice President Harris have also said that they are planning to visit impacted areas once they can do so without disrupting emergency services.
