00:00More than 77,000 individuals were affected by the typhoon.
00:06The Social Welfare Department immediately sent help to our countrymen.
00:11This is what Ryan Lezigue reported.
00:16The DSWD is now focusing on the families affected by the typhoon,
00:20particularly the youth.
00:22This includes ensuring that there are enough family food packs
00:25and other necessities for those affected by the typhoon.
00:28Once the weather improves, we will send these food packs to those affected.
00:36We are also waiting for a go-signal to send this help.
00:45The DSWD is currently coordinating with the Office of Civil Defense
00:51so that we can access the assets of the Armed Forces of the Philippines,
00:56air and naval assets.
00:58The National Resource Operations Center in Pasay, Pagsasayos,
01:02and Augmentation will continue to distribute to areas affected by the typhoon.
01:07We are using a whole-of-government approach
01:10so that we can ensure that the help we need
01:13can be sent to our affected countrymen.
01:17Currently, almost a million pesos are being distributed to humanitarian assistance.
01:23Aside from the family food packs,
01:25the DSWD can also provide assistance through AICS,
01:29or the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis situation.
01:33According to the latest NDRRMC data,
01:35more than 22,000 families are affected by the typhoon,
01:40which is equivalent to more than 77,000 individuals.
01:43From more than 200 barangays from Region 1 to Atcor,
01:47President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. was the first to send assistance to those affected by the typhoon Julian.
01:53In the Ambush interview yesterday,
01:55the President said that there are family food packs ready to be distributed to the affected residents
02:01and the health care centers are also alert.
02:04The typhoon continues to monitor the effects
02:07on the livelihood of our countrymen who are fishermen and fishermen.
02:11The typhoon has particularly affected the provinces in northern Luzon.
