00:00You see the high energy that Xander Zayas is expanding in the corner as he goes back
00:22to get the final instructions from his trainer Javier Centeno.
00:26Damian Sosa is 4-1 against five undefeated opponents who are combined 46-0.
00:32He's been here before.
00:34Xander Zayas has never been in a fight against an opponent who tends to throw more punches
00:41than he does.
00:43That is the case tonight.
00:44Bernardo Osuna and Timothy Bradley with ringside reporter Mark Creagle coming to you from the
00:50theater at MSG in New York City.
00:54Sosa is a spray and pray type of fighter.
00:57He usually gets up into the chest.
00:59Right now he's choosing to box on the outside, which is interesting.
01:07Usually he closes the gap extremely fast, comes in behind the jab, bobbing and weaving,
01:13trying to keep himself low to avoid punches.
01:17However he's respecting the young Xander Zayas as of right now.
01:29Zayas has won his first 19 fights as a pro, 12 of those by way of knockout including his
01:36penultimate fight.
01:37But last time out against former world champion Patrick Teixeira, he went the distance and
01:42it was a fight where Teixeira did not want to engage.
01:46It will be a different story as you see Sosa land a stiff jab.
01:56Already Zayas controlling the work rate of Sosa behind his jab.
01:59Yeah, I mean, it's smart.
02:00He's controlling the range and distance, he's controlling the pressure already.
02:05Sosa has yet to go.
02:06Sosa's choosing to box.
02:08I don't understand the game plan.
02:09Why are you choosing, why are you waiting to box and wait on the young fella to be able
02:14to set his feet and land his combinations?
02:27It's so interesting to me when fighters, they don't be themselves, they come out and they
02:33be something completely different than what you saw on camera.
02:38Sosa said, I'm more than just a pressure fighter, I get that.
02:43The fights that he won, those four fights that he won, he was aggressive, he was a grill,
02:48he was pressing forward, he was making it rough and tough for the young fighters.
02:52I know it's the first round, however.
02:56Got a lot of work to do, alright.
02:58Our main event features Sandy Ryan defending her welterweight title against Michaela Mayer.
03:03Earlier tonight, Ryan got hit with red paint as she was leaving her hotel to come to the
03:09arena.
03:10It was an apparent coordinated attack.
03:12Mae Caroma, who brought her to the US, introduced her to a new trainer, Flick, well, he told
03:18her not to fight.
03:19He was beside himself in the locker rooms.
03:21She was livid.
03:22She says, not only am I going to fight, I'm going to win.
03:25Michaela Mayer claims she's innocent in this situation.
03:28We believe her.
03:29Mark Creagle spoke with both fighters once they got here.
03:35Did you ever have any intention of not fighting?
03:37Could anyone push you off your spot?
03:39No, I didn't.
03:41I had to go straight up to my room, shower.
03:44The footage that you see, we're going to send to you, you'll see the paint all over my body.
03:51Get ready, let's go to war, if that's what they want.
03:55If you want war, Michaela Mayer, I'm going to, we're going to have war.
03:5910 rounds, war.
04:00I'm f***ing coming.
04:02Michaela, by now you've heard all the news.
04:07Sandy was understandably upset.
04:08She says it was a setup.
04:10What's your reaction?
04:11Yeah, I was upstairs, heard that someone from the street threw paint on her.
04:18I mean, obviously that's crossing the line, that's messed up.
04:21So I feel for her, I'm sorry that happened to her.
04:26I obviously had nothing to do with it, I would never do something like that.
04:29That's crossing the line 100%.
04:31So if she wants to think that, I don't know, but got to let it go, we got to fight.
04:36That's what it's about right now.
04:38It is completely unacceptable, not how we would expect any fighter to be treated on
04:43foreign soil.
04:44And Tim, you won your first world title in the UK against Junior Witter.
04:49What is the mindset of both fighters going into this after what happened?
04:53Look, I'm just going to tell you this, you got to expect this type of stuff.
04:58You just do.
04:59Even a physical attack?
05:00Yeah, you got to expect anything, but you got to be able to see, when my trainer, he'd
05:04let me know what was going to happen right off the gate, because he's traveled overseas
05:09and he understands that there's people that bet, there's fans over there.
05:13I didn't drink their water once I went over there.
05:15When I got to the hotel room, my hotel wasn't ready.
05:19When I got in the room, the AC wasn't working.
05:22You know, there was various things.
05:23I didn't even trust the food I was eating in the restaurant.
05:26That's eight fruit the entire week that I brought.
05:29That I brought.
05:30So you got to expect these type of things, and I would say to Sandy Ryan, let it go.
05:36Let it go.
05:37Be a true professional.
05:38Go out here and defend your title like you planned to.
05:42We saw Sandy Ryan, the champion, training or warming up with Emmanuel Flix-Devoy, her
05:48new trainer.
05:49Mikaela Mayer also has a new trainer after the dismissal of Kay Koroma.
05:53We're talking about former fighter Kofi Jantua, and we're going to see how she reacts to his
06:02instructions.
06:03A new voice in the corner.
06:05So that will be our main event with the WBO female welterweight title at stake at the
06:11conclusion of the fight we have in the ring right now, which features Puerto Rican star
06:17undefeated Xander Zayas and Mexico's Damian Sosa.
06:28Good head movement from Xander Zayas.
06:31Also great jab.
06:34He slowed down this pace to a comfortable pace.
06:40I like the way he's able to get underneath shots and land.
06:43You see that nice little inside counter uppercut on the inside with the left hand.
06:52He's able to find offense in between the offense of his opposition.
06:56Punching with Sosa, and he's going to the body early on after establishing the jab in
07:01the first round.
07:03The punch variety from Xander is exceptional so far.
07:10Sosa's defensive responsibility.
07:13Sosa is being defensively responsible.
07:16He's feeling the power of Xander Zayas.
07:18He doesn't want to run into anything, and that's the reason why he's choosing to box
07:25instead of swarm, but he's not going to win the battle, this battle, by boxing.
07:31He has a chance only if he comes forward and press the action.
07:40Send those pigs in.
07:41What we running with today?
07:42You already know.
07:44Joe, Travis is about to go off tonight.
07:47Facts.
07:48That's the play.
07:49Run it, and I'll see y'all tonight.
07:52Might have to run that.
07:58I told y'all to run that.
07:59Come on now.

08:11More mud.
08:12Action.
08:13Louie.
08:14Louie.
08:15Cut.
08:16Mud on her face.
08:17Louie.
08:18Okay, everybody.
08:19That's lunch.
08:30Mud mask?
08:31No.
08:32No.
08:33No.
08:34Compare hotels in the Hotels.com app.
08:35Round three of the scheduled 10-round junior middleweight attraction.
08:44Xander Zayas putting his undefeated record on the line in the red trunks, trimmed with
08:48gold.
08:49The samurai, Damian Sosa, across the ring from Tijuana, Mexico.
08:55And so far, Xander Zayas has been able to tame a fighter who averages 85 punches thrown
09:02a round.
09:03Through the first two rounds, he threw 73 total punches.
09:08Good technique.
09:11Allows you to be efficient with your work.
09:14Great distance control from Xander.
09:17Nice right hand over the top by him.
09:20Understanding his range.
09:24Good placement with his punches.
09:27The right combinations at the right time.
09:30This is good stuff from Xander Zayas.
09:33Changing levels, going up and down with his jab.
09:36Sneaking shots underneath.
09:39You see the counterattempt right here?
09:42Yeah, absolutely.
09:43That's what I like.
09:44I like the eyes.
09:45Love the eyes.
09:46And Tim, when you have a fighter who throws more punches, for example, Teixeira came in
09:51here to survive.
09:52Oh, nice right hand.
09:54But when you have a fighter who opens up a little more, it also creates opportunities
09:59for you.
10:00And that's what Xander's seeing as he lands a good shot there.
10:03It does open up opportunities.
10:06However, on the flip side of that, it also can make a fighter that doesn't know how to
10:12handle that type of pressure be more defensive minded.
10:16Xander Zayas, he can handle the type of pressure.
10:19He's showing us right now that he can handle pressure.
10:23A liver shot there from Xander.
10:24And he snuck it as he was moving backwards, and he placed that liver shot.
10:29And you're talking about a fighter who made his pro debut at 17 years old, was already
10:344-0 by the time he earned his high school diploma.
10:38And Xander Zayas is a student of the game, and he's taking Sosa to school so far through
10:44the first three.
10:45That left hook is starting to find a home.
10:47Xander's finding a home upstairs and downstairs as well.
10:50There it is again.
10:51Look at that right hand.
10:52Nice little comeback counter from...
10:56Now you're starting to see the tempo shift from Sosa.
11:01That was a nice liver shot from Xander Zayas.
11:04Sosa is a fighter who knows how to take a shot, but if you start taking the air out
11:09of his tires by going downstairs, that is the secret to victory.
11:14And you start bringing the guards down when you start going downstairs.
11:17No fighter likes to get hit down to the body.
11:20It hurts.
11:35Mexico-Puerto Rico in the ring once again here at the theater at MSG.
11:39This is top-ranked boxing on ESPN.
11:47What are you doing?
11:48Yo, Sean.
11:49Put him on game.
11:50He's locked in on prize picks.
11:52Just pick more or less on at least two players and lock in for the game.
11:55Enter a lineup for as little as $5 and get $50 instantly.

12:08Prize picks.
12:09Run your game.
12:10Oh, you already know, bro.
12:14Louis.
12:15Cut.
12:16More mud.
12:17Action.
12:18Louis.
12:19Louis.
12:20Cut.
12:21Mud on her face.
12:23Louis.
12:24Okay, everybody.
12:25That's lunch.
12:37Mud mask?
12:39No.
12:40No.
12:41No.
12:42Compare hotels in the Hotels.com app.
12:47Round 4 of a scheduled 10-round fight.
12:49Xander Zayas and Damian Sosa.
12:52And so far through the first three rounds,
12:54Xander Zayas has landed 21 more total punches.
12:58But, Tim, the telling number is 21-0 on Body Shots Connected.
13:04Yeah, that's going to come back in hot.
13:06Sosa, you know, you want to always invest in the body.
13:10Because late in the fight, you want to see if you can take or zap some of the energy
13:14and take the legs of the younger fighter in Zayas.
13:19However, Sosa still hasn't thrown a shot downstairs.
13:23I don't understand.
13:24You know, you've got to be prepared for what you're going to see.
13:28I don't understand what's with these trainers, man.
13:30You know, and their game plans and what they're thinking about.
13:33You know.
13:35Tim, you have to be true to your identity.
13:37I just don't get it.
13:38Oh, what a nice shot there from Xander Zayas.
13:41Like, you've got to find a balance that works for you.
13:45You're going to be able to get your stuff off.
13:48Stay true to yourself, but at the same time, keep yourself safe.
13:51But, man, understand the weaknesses of the opposition.
13:54He starts going down to Xander's body.
13:57You never know what you're going to uncover because no one has tested him downstairs.
14:01Absolutely.
14:03So far, it's an uncharacteristic performance from Damian Sosa.
14:09And a lot of it has to do with poor strategy on their side,
14:13but Xander Zayas capitalizing on that poor strategy.
14:18Yes, he is.
14:20He's stepping around.
14:24He's not standing in front.
14:26He's setting up his offense.
14:27Level change right there.
14:28Using that jab to set up his offense.
14:30And, again, he can't miss with the hook.
14:34Sosa right now is out at bay.
14:36Don't know how to close the distance right now.
14:38He's not moving his head side to side.
14:39He's not giving Xander anything.
14:41No jab, no flick jab, no feints or anything.
14:45So Xander's just able to time him.
14:47Oh, that's a nice left hook there from Xander Zayas.
14:49Perfectly timed.
14:51Well taken by Sosa.
14:52But just moments ago, I heard the frustration in the corner of Sosa.
14:56This is not the fighter they trained for ten weeks to come to New York.
15:00Too much technical prowess from the young guy.
15:03That's what it is.
15:04That's what it is.
15:08You can see he's 4-1 with one knockout against five undefeated opponents
15:12who are combined 46-0.
15:14Nice inside slip right there.
15:16But there's levels to undefeated fighters, Tim, and we're seeing that tonight.
15:19Yes, you are.
15:21Xander Zayas is putting on the clinic tonight.
15:23He looks sharp. He looks very alert.
15:26He looks precise, very efficient with his work.
15:29I like what I'm seeing from Xander.
15:34This is supposed to be his toughest test.
15:37But, Tim, who did he just fight? A former world champion.
15:40Those rounds that you go against a sneaky, tricky fighter.
15:44Now you see this is looking easy for the sport.
15:49Send those pigs in. What are we running with today?
15:51That's what you already know.
15:54Joe, Trav is about to go off tonight.
15:56Facts. That's the play.
15:59Run it, and I'll see y'all tonight.
16:01Might have to run that.
16:05I told y'all to run that. Come on now.

16:34It's time for the Punch of the Night, brought to you by Miller Lite.
16:38And it was the first fight of the night.
16:40Rojan Polanco, the junior welterweight prospect with that vicious uppercut
16:44that drops Marcelino Lopez.
16:46The first time he's ever been down.
16:48He was down three more times, having him take a knee.
16:50Eventually stopped in the sixth round.
16:53And what a great performance from Polanco.
16:55That man's different. He's different.
16:57I think he put on the best performance tonight.
16:59I know we have Xander in front of us, and we still have Sandy.
17:01And also Mayer tonight.
17:03But man, that's a must-watch fella right there.
17:07Polanco, he puts it all together.
17:09Speed, power, accuracy, ring IQ.
17:11You can see it all.
17:13And he makes it look easy.
17:15And that's what the greats do.
17:16You know who's good at math?
17:17Who?
17:18Mark Creagle.
17:19We want your unofficial scorecard, please, if you would.
17:21Unofficially 40-36, four rounds to nothing.
17:25Listen, this is the Xander that we've been advertised.
17:30His hands are fast.
17:31His combinations are varied.
17:33His body work is excellent.
17:35This is the guy that we've been telling people could be a champion.
17:39It's also the right opponent for a fighter like Xander Zayas to shine.
17:44As he digs to the body of the Mexican fighter.
17:47Goes downstairs again.
17:49You see that left foot.
17:51Right in the home.
17:54From Xander.
17:56But yeah, you've got a fighter that is, again, tamed.
18:00You've got to think about that.
18:02Sosa is all gas, no brakes.
18:07Xander is making him box.
18:10I mean, he's just making him change his character.
18:12Making him change his style.
18:14You have to understand that.
18:16That's the difference.
18:17He's timing him well.
18:18He's catching him coming in.
18:20He's making him pay for every mistake he makes.
18:22Yeah, exactly.
18:23And that's how you tame a come forward fighter.
18:26Exactly how you tame him.
18:28Uppercut.
18:32He's just reading what Sosa is about to do.
18:35And acting on it before Sosa has a chance to execute.
18:41Nice stiff jab once again from Xander Zayas.
18:45Sosa's face is starting to wear down here
18:49before we reach the midway point of this fight.
18:51Breathing from the mouth.
18:53Totally frustrated.
19:00A nice left there from Sosa as his corner says,
19:02let your hands go.
19:06Good defense.
19:07Good angles right there from Xander.
19:10Ooh, nice right uppercut from Xander,
19:12but then he takes two from Sosa.
19:15Yeah, Sosa right there, just letting his hands go.
19:19Trying to put more and more pressure on Xander.
19:21Xander's handling it well.
19:22He's escaping off the side exits.
19:25He's stepping around very well.
19:26He's pivoting in spots.
19:29And landing the first clean shot.
19:31Xander Zayas.
19:32Xander Zayas.
19:33Xander Zayas.
19:34Xander Zayas.
19:35Xander Zayas.
19:36Xander Zayas.
19:37Xander Zayas.
19:38Xander Zays.
19:40First clean shot before Sosa is able to land a shot of his own.
19:43All right, Sosa's gonna have some decisions to make
19:45when we come back with the second half of the fight
19:48because as of now, it's been a runaway training.
19:56What are you doing?
19:58Yo, Shawn, put him on game.

20:18PrizePix, run your game.
20:20Oh, you already know, bro.
20:24If I was to describe this sandwich in one word,
20:27I would say magical.
20:29Hi, this is Jamor.
20:30And the little thing that I love
20:31about the Chick-fil-A honey pepper
20:33pimento chicken sandwich is that extra oomph.
20:35I go back and forth from the spicy filet
20:37to the original filet.
20:39Personally, I get into the sweetness of the honey.
20:41That's what hits first.
20:43Then you have the extra kick from the spicy filet.
20:46And then you also have the spice of the jalapeno peppers.
20:48The combination alone takes it over the top.
20:51It's award-winning in my mind.
20:53Real customer paid for their testimonial.
20:55Inside the theater at MSG,
20:57where Xander Zayas is putting on a clinic.
20:59He's landed 118 punches to 41 for Damian Sosa.
21:03That is a difference of 77.
21:06But he's thrown 100 punches more.
21:08That accounts to about 20 punches more per round, Tim.
21:12And at some point,
21:14the body punch output from Sosa has to increase.
21:17He's only landed one.
21:18And that was in the last round.
21:19That's too late now.
21:20I mean, he even went down there.
21:22It should have been from round one.
21:25Matter of fact, his legs just buckled a little bit
21:29as they came together.
21:31Yeah, I love Xander's defense tonight.
21:34He's been very responsible after his offense.
21:37Again, rolling under shots and placing shots.
21:40That's a special gift that he's learned how to do.
21:42It's a special skill, I should say.
21:45Excellent defense can enhance your offensive capabilities.
21:50And you're seeing it here.
21:51Gives you more opportunities.
21:53You gotta think about it this way.
21:54You know, when you're in football,
21:56the quicker the defense gets off the field, guess what?
21:59The offense has more opportunity to score
22:01and give them more time.
22:03The man who's in charge of teaching
22:05and guiding Xander Zayas is Javier Centeno.
22:07Mark Regal spoke with him.
22:08What are they saying in Xander's corner?
22:11I asked him how he breaks this down
22:13and comes away with a knockout,
22:16in spite that Xander looks spectacular.
22:17He says, keep going to the body.
22:20You can see Sosa's hands are dropping.
22:22And once they get low enough,
22:24you gotta come up with an overhand right
22:25and finish it with a hook.
22:27And we just saw that overhand right
22:28that didn't connect cleanly,
22:29but the idea is there.
22:31And now the execution has to come from Xander.
22:34Sosa got a hard head.
22:35Ooh, nice left hook too from Xander.
22:38But Sosa got a hard head.
22:39He ain't never been stopped before.
22:40If you're gonna stop somebody with a hard head,
22:42trust me, you gotta go downstairs.
22:44You have to hurt him downstairs to the limit.
22:49A lot of guys can take a head shot
22:51and just keep coming at you,
22:53and that's the case for Sosa.
22:55So, Xander just in a great rhythm.
22:59He's in his groove right now.
23:00He's in his groove.
23:12Nice combination.
23:13Good combination, yep.
23:15Absolutely.
23:20Everybody wondering what this is.
23:21Yes, it's distance control.
23:23Having good fundamental habits from Xander.
23:25That's why it's looking so easy.
23:28Also timing.
23:29Timing, timing, timing.
23:32He's able to land these shots underneath.
23:35Low blow there from Xander Zayas.
23:38Gets the admonishment to pick it up.
23:41And Tim?
23:42Timing and technique beats all.
23:43I'm letting John know right now.
23:45Timing and technique.
23:46All right, well, timing and technique will be part,
23:48I'm sure, of your lab
23:50as we look ahead to tonight's main event.
23:52Michaela Mayer looking to take
23:55the WBO welterweight title from Sandy Ryan.
23:58Yeah, check this out.
24:00I mean, Michaela Mayer is not so bad in the inside.
24:02She can actually fight me inside.
24:03And this is a tactic that I learned from Teddy Atlas
24:06when I was training with him.
24:07It's the clinch and release.
24:08Most fighters get relaxed on the inside.
24:11You see here, Natasha Jonas getting relaxed.
24:14You see the back foot, the kickstand right there
24:16to be able to explode with her offense
24:18on the inside catching Jonas by surprise.
24:22But there's some flaws here at mid-range.
24:24Sometimes Michaela can be a little heavy on her feet,
24:27plotting forward, get in range,
24:30did not taking her head off the line.
24:31She runs right into some offense right there
24:34with an athletic Jonas.
24:36And here it is again.
24:37Sometimes Michaela will lunge forward,
24:38but you see the back foot staying at home.
24:40You gotta bring the back foot forward
24:42so you can have balance
24:44and so you're not reaching like Michaela Mayer.
24:47And if she does that in this fight, Sandy Ryan has good feet.
24:51She knows how to step out of range and fire her offense.
24:54She's going to be able to take advantage
24:57of Michaela Mayer in those particular spots.
24:59Tim, she's got three knockout victories,
25:01does Sandy Ryan in seven professional wins.
25:04So you make those mistakes against a power puncher
25:08who's at her natural weight class.
25:09It's a different story.
25:10Yes, you put yourself in harm's way.
25:13Absolutely.
25:14And she's going to make you pay
25:15and it's going to hurt every time
25:17you make those types of mistakes.
25:18And then you add all the drama to that,
25:20all the emotion to that,
25:22and it changes the entire dynamic of the fight.
25:24Well, look at how relaxed Michaela is in her dressing room.
25:27Yeah, she's probably looking at the lab right now
25:30and that's what she's laughing at.
25:31She saw that seven punch combination.
25:35She said, Tim, come on now, stop giving me up.
25:40Well, Sosa keeps giving up that jab to Xander Zayas
25:43and Xander says, I'll oblige you.
25:46I'll take all those jabs you give me
25:48and then I'll throw in a body shot to boot.
25:55See, you know, I was talking about timing and technique, right?
26:00You know, we talk about how great power is.
26:03Power, power, power.
26:04He can land a shot, he can land a shot,
26:05but you got to have a place to land it.
26:09You know, if you don't give him that place to land it,
26:11then how effective is power?
26:13You know, speed, the same thing.
26:16You know, you can be effective,
26:18but again, you have to get in the right range.
26:20And the only way you can do those things is with timing.
26:24Good footwork, timing, and also great technique.
26:29And that's what you see in Xander Zayas.
26:31Xander putting it all together tonight
26:33against a fighter who was supposed to come in here
26:36and test him like he had never been tested before.
26:39But, Tim, he just totally close circuited
26:43the offense of Damian Sosa from the jump.
26:47Got him bagging up, too. Look at him.
26:49Got him bagging up along the rope.
26:50Sosa still trying to figure it out.
26:54Nice shot on the biceps,
26:55and then that opens up a body shot for Xander Zayas.
26:58But he rolls underneath that shot and throws a left hook.
27:08Nice roll. Nice short uppercut on the inside.
27:12I mean, those are punishing body shots
27:14that set up that left hook to the chin from Xander Zayas.
27:20Yeah, there's only one thing, you know.
27:21Xander just continued to stay on his jab.
27:23Sosa, what he needs to do is he needs to find a way
27:26to get to the body.
27:27Still yet, you see the jab attempt to the chest
27:30because he's having a hard time
27:32hitting the elusive young fighter Zayas.
27:35But he's elusive while being there, Tim.
27:38He's right in front of him,
27:39but he's making him miss everything.
27:40Half a step back.
27:42Good, again.
27:43Great distance recognition by Xander tonight.
27:50Sosa trying to let his hands go,
27:51but nothing close to what we expected
27:54in terms of punch output from the fighter
27:57from Tijuana, Mexico.
28:00We'll be back with round eight.
28:09What are you doing?
28:10Yo, Sean, put him on game.
28:12He's locked in on prize picks.
28:13Just pick more or less on at least two players

28:29Prize picks, run your game.
28:31Oh, you already know, bro.
28:35The kids were filmed before a live studio pizza.
28:37All right, here you go.
28:38Look alive, dipsticks.
28:39I got little Caesars.
28:41Did you get pepperoni?
28:42I want Italian sausage.
28:43It better be bacon pizza.
28:45Brothers, it's a three-meat treat.
28:47It's got all those delicious toppings.
28:49Come on.
28:50Bacon, pepperoni, Italian sausage.
28:52Send Pop Kittle a slice.
28:56I'm a dog.
28:58The Kittles love their three-meat treat.
29:00Order your three-meat treat for $8.99
29:02and get your game day delivered with Little Caesars.
29:04Pizza, pizza.
29:06Zayas is dancing in the red corner, enjoying himself.
29:09And why wouldn't he be, Tim?
29:12Last three rounds, Sosa, his opponent,
29:15has landed 14 total punches.
29:17In that last round, Zayas connected on 21.
29:23This is the clinic, boxing clinic.
29:26Boxing 101 from Xander Zayas.
29:30And there's times you see Xander
29:34where he's taking a little bit more chances.
29:36Well, you don't have to, but I like it.
29:38He's trying to get more aggressive.
29:40You know, you can tell he's trying to,
29:44trying to get the stoppage.
29:46He's okay with what's coming back from Sosa right now.
29:51I mean, when you're able to land a lead uppercut, Tim,
29:54to start the round,
29:55that tells you what kind of rhythm you're in.
29:57And then you continue to make your opponent miss
30:01and land an uppercut of your own.
30:04Now the power shots.
30:07Let's see if he can figure it out.
30:08Because he has Sosa right now.
30:12He has him on that lane.
30:14That lane, you know what that lane is.
30:16He's near to exit.
30:18He's there, he's near to exit.
30:20He's near to exit.
30:22I know he's tough.
30:23Let's see if he can pull it off.
30:26Nice body shot.
30:27I think that's the shot that's going to end the fight.
30:29If it's going to end, it's a shot to the liver.
30:34And he's going to catch him as he's shooting the right hand.
30:36He's going to dip underneath and catch him
30:38as he's shooting the right hand with the liver shot.
30:41Two of 48 landed body shots.
30:44That means that Xander has landed three more body shots
30:49than his opponent has attempted.
30:52Just the controlling of range, the way he spun him.
30:54Spun him right there.
30:57Nice body shot.
30:58Again, that was to the solar plexus.
31:01He's just breaking him down.
31:03Breaking him down.
31:04He's going to continue to give you whatever he has,
31:14but Xander is just looking clean tonight.
31:18Is he really Latino?
31:19Because if he was, he would have went down to the body, man.
31:21Because you know the Mexican fighters,
31:24they go down to the body, man.
31:25You know what happened?
31:26What happened?
31:27Maybe he transferred his Mexican body punching power
31:29to Sandy Ryan, who's in our main event tonight.
31:32Because she can drop those body shots.
31:35Yes, she can.
31:36You're absolutely right.
31:43Nice one, two.
31:44Saez, though, answers with the same combination.
31:46He gets the better of it.
31:48Nice bump right there.
31:49Getting physical on the inside.
31:51Another bump.
31:51Ooh, nice shot right there from Sosa.
31:54Telling you, Sosa, if he did this earlier on,
31:57at some point he's got to sell out
31:58and give himself an opportunity.
32:00Maybe not to win, but to compete in this fight.
32:05Round eight is in the books.
32:07Six minutes left in the fight.
32:12What are you doing?
32:14Yo, Sean, put him on game.
32:16He's locked in on prize picks.
32:17Just pick more or less on at least two players
32:19and lock in for the game.

32:33Prize picks, run your game.
32:35Oh, you already know, bro.
32:39You know, Coach Prime,
32:40it's nice to finally have some free time.
32:42Gives you a chance to reflect on the important things.
32:45Like how Aflac pays people money,
32:47but the expensive health insurance doesn't cover it.
32:49Health insurance does leave a gap.
32:51But Aflac gives people money to help close that gap.
32:55Coach Prime got one on the lad too, baby.
32:58See, that's how you hold up a trophy.
33:00Trust me.
33:00Get help with expenses health insurance doesn't cover.
33:03Is an official sponsor of ESPN College Game Day.
33:05Hope y'all hungry.
33:06I'm glad I brought my own dinner.
33:10Xander Zayas looking for his 20th win as a pro.
33:13Just 22 years old.
33:15Made his pro debut at 17.
33:17The youngest fighter ever signed by top rank at age 16.
33:22Damian Sosa at 27 years old.
33:24Tim was supposed to come in
33:25and ask some questions.
33:28Yeah, he's not asking questions.
33:29Not at all.
33:32He's taking a whooping.
33:36Xander looks very polished,
33:37very comfortable with the pressure.
33:41Ooh, nice counter right from Sosa.
33:443-0 in his fourth fight in the U.S.,
33:46but that streak is at stake tonight
33:50and in danger against Zayas.
33:53Nice head movement on the inside from Xander.
33:56Good head movement, great defense after his offense.
34:05That stab jab to the body working well for Xander.
34:10I'm pretty sure Xander is pleased with his work tonight.
34:15Sosa, again, got a beard on him.
34:19Never been stopped.
34:21Yeah, but Tim, it's 140 punches advantage
34:25in terms of total landed for Xander to the body.
34:30That'll wear you down.
34:31Yes, and it has.
34:35Big shot right there, nice.
34:37But you know, look,
34:39Xander's not gonna be that one-punch knockout guy.
34:43We've known that.
34:44However, he's only 22 years old.
34:47Only 22 years old.
34:49So the man bones we'll be talking about all the time,
34:52he still hasn't fully developed,
34:54even though his body looks like he has.
34:57So you're telling me he's gonna be scarier as he gets older?
35:00Yes, that's what I'm trying to tell you.
35:02He can very well be scarier as he gets older.
35:06Can it be at 54?
35:08Will he have to move to 60 because he was-
35:11I think he will eventually move up.
35:13He's still growing.
35:14Yeah.
35:14Absolutely.
35:15Big body shots there from Xander Zayas.
35:30Nice combination.
35:31I mean, it's just anything Sosa tries to do,
35:33he's telegraphing and Zayas has the cheat code.
35:37And he's slow.
35:38Yeah.
35:38Sosa's slow.
35:39Very predictable.
35:40Fundamentals are terrible.
35:42He's plodding forward.
35:44Not even coming in behind the jab.
35:46And then when he gets in mid-range,
35:47he chooses to shoot a jab and then Xander just counters.
35:52The smile of Xander Zayas.
35:55The only one that can beat Xander in this fight
35:57is himself.
35:58He just gets complacent with his defense
36:01and gets caught with a shot or set up with a shot by Sosa.
36:05At this point, all you see from Sosa though
36:07are arm punches.
36:08So I don't see the same power.
36:10Nice right hand.
36:11That right hand.
36:14What are you doing?
36:16Yo, Sean, put him on game.
36:18He's locked in on prize picks.
36:19Just pick more or less on at least two players
36:21and lock in for the game.

36:26Plus, you can play in most states.
36:29Download the prize picks app today.
36:31Enter $5 and get $50 instantly with Code Team.
36:35Prize picks, run your game.
36:37Oh, you already know, bro.
36:39You should see it out there.
36:43My dad does.
36:44He's the best.
36:45He's the best.
36:46He's the best.
36:47He's the best.
36:47He's the best.
36:48He's the best.
36:49He's the best.
36:50He's the best.
36:51He's the best.
36:52He's the best.
36:52He's the best.
36:53He's the best.
36:54He's the best.
36:55He's the best.
36:56He's the best.
36:57He's the best.
36:58He's the best.
36:58He's the best.
36:59He's the best.
37:00He's the best.
37:01He's the best.
37:02He's the best.
37:03He's the best.
37:03He's the best.
37:04He's the best.
37:05He's the best.
37:06He's the best.
37:07He's the best.
37:08He's the best.
37:09He's the best.
37:10He's the best.
37:10He's the best.
37:11He's the best.
37:12He's the best.
37:13He's the best.
37:14He's the best.
37:15He's the best.
37:16He's the best.
37:16He's the best.
37:17He's the best.
37:18He's the best.
37:19He's the best.
37:20He's the best.
37:21He's the best.
37:21He's the best.
37:22He's the best.
37:23He's the best.
37:24He's the best.
37:25He's the best.
37:26He's the best.
37:26He's the best.
37:27He's the best.
37:28He's the best.
37:29He's the best.
37:30He's the best.
37:31He's the best.
37:31He's the best.
37:32He's the best.
37:33He's the best.
37:34He's the best.
37:36He's the best.
37:37He's the best.
37:37He's the best.
37:38He's the best.
37:39He's the best.
37:40He's the best.
37:41He's the best.
37:42He's the best.
37:42He's the best.
37:43He's the best.
37:44He's the best.
37:45He's the best.
37:46He's the best.
37:47He's the best.
37:47He's the best.
37:48He's the best.
37:49He's the best.
37:50He's the best.
37:51He's the best.
37:52He's the best.
37:52He's the best.
37:53He's the best.
37:54He's the best.
37:55He's the best.
37:56He's the best.
37:57He's the best.
37:58He's the best.
37:58He's the best.
37:59He's the best.
38:00He's the best.
38:01He's the best.
38:03In the corner, he was telling Javier Centeno,
38:04I can't get him out of here.
38:06That's fine.
38:07That's fine.
38:08You know, you hit your opposition with his best shot.
38:11You broke him down to the body.
38:12You did everything you possibly can.
38:14It's okay, you don't get him out of there.
38:16Some guys just not meant to be knocked out.
38:18Sosa's one of those guys as of right now.
38:20Yeah, in all of his fights,
38:22and we're talking about 27 as a pro,
38:26he's lost two of them,
38:27but he's never been stopped or dropped.
38:30So there's a reason that he's putting up this resistance.
38:33It's not a reflection on Zayas,
38:35it's a reflection on how tough Damian Sosa is.
38:41And again, it's how Zander's doing it tonight.
38:44I thought this was gonna be a very tough battle for him.
38:47I thought Sosa was gonna be in his chest
38:48and bagging him up and making him ask questions
38:50and taking a deep breath, you know?
38:53High tempo, high work rate.
38:56He came into this match throwing 80, 85 punches a round.
39:03And you know how many he's landed so far this fight?
39:05How much has he thrown?
39:06He's only thrown 450, but he's only landed 64.
39:11That's that he's thrown a whole round.
39:13That defensive awareness of Zander is something else.
39:18And again, when you have great defense,
39:19it's gonna open up opportunities for you with the offense.
39:22But look, he's landing shots like that,
39:23then he goes ahead and walks away.
39:26Nice step around right there to get a position from Zander.
39:28Lot of good stuff.
39:31Lot of great stuff tonight from him.
39:33Very impressive.
39:34Another step around right there.
39:35Just changing his position.
39:37I would love him to step around
39:38and then fire his combinations afterwards
39:41because he changes his position
39:43and as his opposition is turning with him
39:46and resetting his position,
39:47he has an opportunity to land something vicious.
39:49He did tell us that he was not gonna allow Sosa
39:52to set his feet.
39:53Sosa's not setting his feet here in the 10th round
39:55because Zander's right in front of him.
39:57Yeah, Zander's choosing to stand there.
39:58Absolutely.
39:59Zander can keep the fight on the outside,
40:00but he doesn't feel threatened right now.
40:03And he wants to put on an entertaining finish.
40:06The fans are happy here at the theater at MSG.
40:10Zander Zayas hanging to the final bell
40:14as Damian Sosa continues that streak
40:16of never being stopped in 28 professional fights.
40:21But this one may be lost number three
40:24all against undefeated fighters.
40:27I'm impressed tonight by Zander.
40:29I really am.
40:31He put on a great performance.
40:33A dominant performance.
40:38Look, the punch output did get to the rate we expected
40:42from Damian Sosa in the 10th round.
40:44That's actually characteristic of how he fights
40:46through 102 punches in that 10th and final round,
40:50but it just was not enough.
40:51Let's take a look at how Zander Zayas
40:54dismantled Damian Sosa.
40:56Yeah, it must've been Halloween early
40:57because this was taking candy from a baby
40:59from Zander Zayas who got off to a fast start,
41:04landing some tremendous body shots,
41:06but everything was set up off the jab.
41:09You start landing the jab.
41:10As soon as you start landing that,
41:12the combinations can follow.
41:14You know, I was extremely impressed
41:17with Zander's defense tonight.
41:19Very defensively responsible,
41:21slipping shots like that and coming with the left hook.
41:24Nice right hands and then weaving under, stepping around.
41:27I saw a lot of variation in his attack,
41:30going to the head and also to the body,
41:32landing various shots like that.
41:34Upper cuts, right hands down to the chest and to the body,
41:37left hooks to the body.
41:38I mean, he did it all tonight, but get the finish.
41:41And he took a shot as well.
41:43Sosa got some knockouts as well,
41:45and he was able to land his right hand also.
41:48Occasionally when he wanted to.
41:50Great performance by Zander Zayas.
41:52A big improvement from the last time he was inside the ring.
41:54Look at the number of body shots that were landed.
41:5774 to two.
41:58And just to put things into perspective,
42:01the 148 to 42 landed.
42:03We knew that Sosa threw 84 punches around coming in,
42:06but guess what?
42:07It was 256 to 74 total connects.
42:11That's a 3.45 to one ratio,
42:14consistent with what Zander Zayas usually does.
42:18This was an impressive performance from Zayas.
42:20Let's see just how impressive the judges thought it was.
