Embattled Perth building company Nicheliving is under fire, this time, for launching a new trading name for its property business. The builder, which is struggling to complete more than 200 homes, now appears to be trading as Australian Property Alliance, but customers say the same old issues remain.

00:23In July, WA's Building Services Board decided not to renew Niche Living's registration
00:28as it wasn't satisfied it had met its financial requirements.
00:32But the State Administrative Tribunal ruled Niche Living could continue operating
00:37until a review in November.
00:39We thought we had a light at the end of the tunnel and then it got taken away from us.
00:43And I can just see that this is just going to keep dragging on and on.
00:46Niche Living's profiles on real estate websites appear to have been rebranded
00:51as Australian Property Alliance but are selling what appear to be Niche Living properties.
00:56Niche Living's construction arm, Projects, currently owes the Tax Office $3.8 million.
01:02Its rebranded Australian Property Alliance also has an outstanding ATO debt of $1.2 million.

01:15where there's currently more than 60 unfinished homes.
01:18Nine improvement notices were issued regarding a lack of security around sites
01:24and excessive rubbish. They've got until Friday to comply.
01:28In the meantime, construction is continuing at a property belonging to the wife
01:33of one of Niche Living's directors.

01:41when you have literally hundreds of clients that still not be able to get into their own homes
01:46that you are under contract to build.
01:49We're really trying everything we can to help the customer.
01:52Those people who have borrowed money to build homes and still don't have their homes.
01:57A new trading name but still left in limbo with no end in sight.
