The H-Man (美女と液体人間, Bijo to Ekitai-ningen[1], lit. 'Beauty and the Liquid People') is a Japanese science fiction thriller film directed by Ishirō Honda, with special effects by Eiji Tsuburaya.
Plot
On a rainy night in the outskirts of Tokyo, a drug smuggler, Misaki, is killed while trying to escape in a getaway car, leaving only his clothes behind. The police go to his apartment to investigate, questioning his girlfriend, Arai Chikako, who says Misaki hasn't returned home for five days. Arai is a singer at a cabaret, and meets Masada, a Jyoto University professor, there. She gives him a note to take to Misaki, but it is confiscated and he is taken into custody by the police. He theorizes to the police Misaki's disappearance is the result of his physical form melting away due to exposure to radiation in the rain that night. The police dismisses the theory.

00:04:59What's this all about? I demand to call my attorney. I know my rights.
00:05:04Just a back. We've got Mr. Chin. Yes.
00:05:10You want to look at the paper?
00:05:12What's the idea of waking me up in the middle of the night and dragging me down here?
00:05:16Here, read this. You'll find out.
00:05:29So you, Mr. Chin, we found narcotics in that bag.
00:05:33Now, where did you get it?
00:05:35From a man I met in the post office.
00:05:37What man?
00:05:39I never saw him before.
00:05:42You're not very smart.
00:05:46You're surely a dangerous man. That can get you into a lot of trouble.
00:05:50He must have watched you put that bag in your locker. And you know who he is.
00:05:54You'll be safer cooperating with us.
00:05:57They're a desperate bunch. They're not afraid to use their guns.
00:06:01Mr. Chin, you're just lucky they haven't caught up with you.
00:06:04Would you recognize him if you saw him again?
00:06:25Misaki!
00:06:27Take enough men. He'll probably be armed.
00:06:55Any further orders, sir?
00:06:57You take Ogawa with you and cover the back.
00:06:59Yes, sir.
00:07:03What time is it?
00:07:05Four o'clock.
00:07:07What's going on?
00:07:09Nothing important.
00:07:24Who's there?
00:07:55Who are you? What do you want?
00:08:03Is Misaki here?
00:08:05It's been days since I've seen Misaki.
00:08:07I see. We're from the police department. We're taking you in.
00:08:14Come on.
00:08:16Come on.
00:08:18Come on.
00:08:20Come on.
00:08:23Come on. We haven't got all day.
00:08:27You will take a moment.
00:08:35Please close the door.
00:08:52Are you ready?
00:09:22Do you mean to tell us you had no idea what Misaki was doing?
00:09:26He would never talk about it. He said it was none of my business.
00:09:32I've been told that you live very well, have fine clothes, jewelry.
00:09:36How did you get all those nice things if Misaki doesn't work?
00:09:40Didn't you know he was peddling narcotics?
00:09:43What?
00:09:45Wake up!
00:09:48Where does the money come from?
00:09:50I paid for those things.
00:09:52You work as a nightclub entertainer?
00:09:55Yes.
00:09:57How much do you make?
00:09:59Depends on business.
00:10:0350,000 yen or better.
00:10:05That's quite a bit, isn't it?
00:10:18Misaki.
00:10:20What's happened to him?
00:10:22What?
00:10:25That watch was a present from me.
00:10:30Are you positive it's the same one?
00:10:33Yes.
00:10:38We'll have to have your thumbprint on this.
00:10:41If he's still in Tokyo, Misaki is better off.
00:10:45His gangster friends will kill him on sight when they read about this.
00:10:48These are ruthless men. They'll do anything.
00:10:52Well, I think you can go home.
00:11:04Using her for bait?
00:11:06With a pretty wife like that, Misaki won't stay away.
00:11:15Ah!
00:11:45Good evening.
00:11:47Good evening.
00:12:16Ah!
00:12:33When the lights glow
00:12:39And the muted violins sing
00:12:45A playing soft and slow
00:12:52The magic begins
00:12:59In the candle's flames
00:13:05I can see your lovely eyes
00:13:11And it's always the same
00:13:18The way to paradise
00:13:24Darling, may I have this dance
00:13:33For you can surely take
00:13:41Darling, you can certainly see
00:13:49At a glance
00:13:53I'm completely under your spell
00:14:02When I hold you in my arms
00:14:10To the muted violins
00:14:15I surrender to your charms
00:14:21And the magic begins
00:14:27The magic begins
00:14:41Hey, finished already? Did they cut your act?
00:14:44Come on, girls.
00:14:59Come in.
00:15:05If you know where he is, get this money to Misaki.
00:15:10The police are shadowing me to catch Misaki.
00:15:14I think it's better if you keep away from here.
00:15:18What are you doing?
00:15:28We're the police. You'll have to come with us.
00:15:31Okay, let's go.
00:15:41What's wrong?
00:15:46Yes. Now? Sure.
00:15:51Chief, they're bringing in a suspect from the crowd.
00:16:03Hello.
00:16:04What are you doing here?
00:16:06You tell me.
00:16:07I've known him a long while.
00:16:09Professor Masada from the university.
00:16:12He teaches biochemistry.
00:16:14I wasn't aware he did research in microbes.
00:16:17He's known as a laboratory maniac.
00:16:19He was trying to contact Chitako in her dressing room.
00:16:26Did you write this note?
00:16:28Mm-hmm.
00:16:29What could you possibly want with Chitako?
00:16:31Scientific information.
00:16:33What could you possibly want with Chitako?
00:16:35Scientific information.
00:16:37From a nightclub singer? That's fine.
00:16:40I'm embarrassed.
00:16:44Must I talk now?
00:16:46You owe us an explanation.
00:16:48I guess I do.
00:16:50I'm studying explosions, nuclear explosions.
00:16:54What I mean is the physical effects of H-bomb ashes on human beings.
00:16:59Like strontium-90, castium-137, plutonium...
00:17:04How does all of this concern Misaki's case?
00:17:07Misaki wouldn't have walked around without his clothes on a cold and rainy night.
00:17:12So?
00:17:15What about this theory?
00:17:18Let's say something occurred, an unusual phenomenon,
00:17:23and a man dissolved.
00:17:26Dissolved?
00:17:28Mm-hmm.
00:17:29If that rain was radioactive, well, it's quite possible.
00:17:34Clever. Brilliant mind.
00:17:37I think you've solved this case.
00:17:41Stop your joking.
00:17:43There were thousands of people walking in the rain that evening.
00:17:47And, in fact, so was I. Looks like I'm still here.
00:17:50All right.
00:17:52But I feel sure of it.
00:17:54Masada, have you any scientific proof of what you're saying?
00:17:59No, but I may have some tomorrow.
00:18:05Now tell me why you went to the club and what you really want.
00:18:08Misaki may have been in an H-bomb test area.
00:18:11Bikini of Christmas Island. I wanted to find out if he had.
00:18:14Would that help you?
00:18:16Yes, with my research.
00:18:18Oh, I see.
00:18:21Now take a tip from me.
00:18:23This is no place for a scientist to be doing research, especially now.
00:18:27It is strictly a police problem, and we want you to keep out of it.
00:18:31I'll remember that.
00:18:33This is a ruthless gang of killers we're dealing with.
00:18:36Good night, Masada.
00:18:50That was Chitako.
00:19:21Keep quiet.
00:19:23The cops are watching outside. Be quiet.
00:19:26Boy, you know what will happen to you.
00:19:30Tell me where Misaki is.
00:19:32You better talk.
00:19:35Come on. You know where he is.
00:19:39You must have some idea.
00:19:42I don't know.
00:19:44We won't do anything to you.
00:19:46Help us find him.
00:19:48No. Help us find him.
00:19:50I can't help you.
00:19:52Oh? Okay.
00:19:59When you see Misaki, tell him his friends want to talk to him.
00:20:04I'm going now, but if you say anything to the cops, we'll kill you.
00:20:09Remember, the cops aren't the only ones watching you.
00:20:18Don't move.
00:20:49What's happened?
00:20:50Gunshots. The apartment down the hall.
00:21:07I'm from the police.
00:21:10Chitako, what happened? What happened?
00:21:13Chitako.
00:21:18Chitako.
00:21:20Chitako.
00:21:44You say you never saw the man before? You don't know him?
00:21:48You mean he was a complete stranger to you?
00:21:51And yet you let him into your apartment, didn't you?
00:21:53He was in the room when I walked in.
00:21:55Why didn't you call for help?
00:21:57It was Misaki, wasn't it?
00:21:59It wasn't Misaki.
00:22:00This is for your own protection.
00:22:02Why won't you cooperate with us and tell the truth?
00:22:05Come on, be smart.
00:22:07Misaki would be much safer if you talk.
00:22:10It was Misaki.
00:22:12She created that whole scene so that he could get away.
00:22:16Good actress. You did a fine job.
00:22:18I saw a green shadow. It was down on the street.
00:22:22A green shadow? Amazing.
00:22:24You're going to have to start telling us what you really saw.
00:22:32You'll have to wait. There may be more questions.
00:22:35And maybe you'll tell us the truth, huh?
00:22:38Guard.
00:22:46I don't think it was Misaki.
00:22:48That so? Maybe it was one of his friends.
00:22:51Could be. The girl seems honest.
00:22:53I don't think she's lying to us.
00:22:55I really think we were mistaken.
00:22:57You're a pushover for a pretty girl.
00:22:59What'd she do to convince you?
00:23:01Chief, the woman says she saw a shadow.
00:23:05A shadow?
00:23:07A shadow.
00:23:09A shadow.
00:23:11A shadow.
00:23:13The woman says she saw a shadow.
00:23:16But I don't believe it.
00:23:19I think Misaki was up there.
00:23:24Good morning. Here again?
00:23:26Good morning.
00:23:32Have you found Misaki yet?
00:23:34I thought you promised not to interfere anymore.
00:23:37Just inquiring.
00:23:39You sure you're interested in becoming personal?
00:23:43Another police deduction of yours.
00:23:45Purely impersonal.
00:23:47I wouldn't bet on it.
00:23:50Please bring Chitaku in. Now.
00:23:55You have my blessing. Talk to her.
00:23:57Let's see what you can get out of her.
00:23:59Thanks.
00:24:01Frankly, you're wasting your time.
00:24:08You remember this man?
00:24:10This is Professor Masada.
00:24:12He would like to talk to you.
00:24:14Please sit down.
00:24:16Just a few simple questions, if you don't mind.
00:24:19You don't have to tell me anything you don't want to.
00:24:26Did Misaki ever do any sailing or work on boats?
00:24:29No. I don't think he ever did.
00:24:32Has he ever taken a trip without your knowing about it?
00:24:34No, I don't think so.
00:24:36What about that dissolving rain theory of yours?
00:24:39That's not funny.
00:24:41Perhaps not. There's been another man reported missing.
00:24:44Missing?
00:24:46Only his clothes were found in the street.
00:24:48Exactly like Misaki's.
00:24:50That settles it. You must come with me.
00:24:53What for?
00:24:55I've witnesses who saw men dissolve.
00:25:04Are you feeling better?
00:25:06Yes, Doctor. I am a little bit.
00:25:11Friends of mine.
00:25:13Tominaga and Sakata.
00:25:15Tell these men all you know about the deserted ship.
00:25:18All right.
00:25:20Please, lie still.
00:25:22I'm all right.
00:25:24Lie back.
00:25:28I'm still afraid, even now.
00:25:31We have been out two days fishing.
00:25:34Out of the darkness came this deserted ship.
00:25:37It came up alongside.
00:26:07Hey!
00:26:29Hey!
00:26:32Anybody on board?
00:26:37Come on.
00:27:02No one's there!
00:27:04Hey!
00:27:06Is there anyone around here on this boat?
00:27:08Hey, come out of there, will you?
00:27:10Don't hide!
00:27:24Oh, everything is in order.
00:27:26Nothing has been touched.
00:27:28The crew, where are they?
00:27:30You scared?
00:27:32No, not much.
00:27:37Look there.
00:27:39He's dead.
00:27:43Go on.
00:27:45You go first, not me.
00:27:47Go on.
00:27:49Bring the light.
00:27:56What do you know?
00:27:58He's dead.
00:28:00He's dead.
00:28:02He's dead.
00:28:04He's dead.
00:28:06Look at that.
00:28:08Leave his clothes on the floor.
00:28:17It's strange.
00:28:19We better look around some more.
00:28:24Let's get out of here.
00:28:34Let's get out of here.
00:29:04The rock book.
00:29:06Oh.
00:29:08It must have been killed while he was writing.
00:29:11Killed? But how?
00:29:20Best if we get out of here, I'm afraid.
00:29:23No bodies anywhere.
00:29:25I don't understand it.
00:29:27I don't understand it either.
00:29:29I don't understand it either.
00:29:31No bodies anywhere.
00:29:33I don't understand it.
00:29:35Go on.
00:29:42Look at me. Looks good.
00:29:44Take it off.
00:29:46What's the matter? No one's looking.
00:29:48We're going.
00:29:50Wait a minute. I want you to see how good I look with the pants on.
00:29:53Hey, that's all.
00:29:55Come on.
00:30:07That's all.
00:30:19What's the matter?
00:30:22What's happening?
00:30:24What's wrong?
00:30:28We have to help him.
00:30:30Don't go. Let me go.
00:30:32No. Don't.
00:30:43What is this?
00:30:48Look. There it is again.
00:30:52Oh, my God.
00:31:00Morristown.
00:31:17My dear son.
00:31:19You'll be killed. You'll be killed.
00:31:21Hurry up.
00:31:28Sort her out.
00:31:49I'm pulling him out.
00:31:51Be careful now.
00:31:53Watch it.
00:31:55Where are the others?
00:31:57There's a ship with ghosts.
00:32:00What's that? A ghost ship?
00:32:02Impossible.
00:32:04Kiyo, Mitsuru, go back for the other men.
00:32:06Let me go.
00:32:08Don't let him go.
00:32:10Look at that.
00:32:20When we got back to port,
00:32:22we told the police about the monsters,
00:32:24the ghost ship,
00:32:26and about the four missing men.
00:32:30They wouldn't believe us.
00:32:38You're a scientist.
00:32:40Do you believe that rot?
00:32:42He couldn't make up such a story.
00:32:44You could easily see that he was telling the truth.
00:32:46As far as I'm concerned,
00:32:48it was just another sailor's story.
00:32:50These two sick men fished close to shore,
00:32:52nowhere near an H-bomb area.
00:32:54But just by going aboard that ship,
00:32:57they became victims,
00:33:00victims of radiation.
00:33:10Is the doctor in?
00:33:12No, he just went to his classroom for a lecture.
00:33:14Oh.
00:33:16Would you bring me the logbook from the deserted ship?
00:33:18Yes, sir.
00:33:20Sit down.
00:33:24The two fishermen brought it back.
00:33:26It has some significant entries.
00:33:30Last entry made
00:33:32was the day after the hydrogen test in the South Pacific.
00:33:35The captain wrote
00:33:37that on the day of the H-bomb test,
00:33:39six of his men disappeared.
00:33:42There's no mention of the other 23 men.
00:33:44They may have dissolved, too.
00:33:56I'll try to make it clear.
00:33:58After the explosion,
00:34:00there are shockwaves.
00:34:02At the same time, deadly rays are emitted.
00:34:04The heat is removed.
00:34:06We watch the rays' effects on living things here.
00:34:08Understand?
00:34:10Complicated, isn't it?
00:34:12It makes the demonstrations easier.
00:34:14We'll place a frog in the rays.
00:34:26Now watch this a minute.
00:34:28Ready?
00:34:30Yes, sir.
00:34:58Stop.
00:35:28Stop.
00:35:58Stop.
00:36:08Now the cells have changed.
00:36:10It's no longer a frog.
00:36:12I want you to see this.
00:36:24Look at the slide.
00:36:28The liquid is alive.
00:36:36Are you trying to say that such a liquid
00:36:38can make men disappear?
00:36:40I am saying this.
00:36:42The liquid can become a monster and do untold damage.
00:36:44Is that so?
00:36:46You mean what those fishermen saw on that ship is here in Tokyo now?
00:36:48Sakata.
00:36:50Let's be realistic.
00:36:52I will admit that the frog disappeared
00:36:54before my very eyes.
00:36:56You're messing with some make-believe creature.
00:36:58You're just asking too much.
00:37:00Now wait.
00:37:02You forget what the fishermen saw.
00:37:04Masada, I still don't believe it.
00:37:06It's much too fantastic.
00:37:10The idea that a monster from a ghost ship
00:37:12is dissolving men in Tokyo is nonsense.
00:37:14That shows you the difference
00:37:16between scientists and the police.
00:37:20Goodbye.
00:37:26Yes?
00:37:28Hmm?
00:37:30Sure. Right.
00:37:32Homicide.
00:37:34Another victim.
00:37:36I hope we'll be able to break this case soon.
00:37:38Yes. We're going to check on it immediately.
00:37:42Good morning.
00:37:44Hello. I must see you.
00:37:46I've got some real proof for you.
00:37:48This is the life preserver
00:37:50from the deserted ship.
00:37:52It has the same name painted on it
00:37:54as the one in the logbook.
00:37:56Not interested.
00:37:58Tominaga!
00:38:00Better take this out of here.
00:38:02Thanks.
00:38:06Very interesting.
00:38:08It's probably radioactive.
00:38:10Do you know exactly where it was found?
00:38:12In Tokyo Bay.
00:38:14Some men were fishing offshore.
00:38:24Dr. Misaki, someone to see you.
00:38:26Show him in.
00:38:28It's a young lady.
00:38:30She said she'd wait for you. She's outside.
00:38:32What's her name?
00:38:34I asked her, but she wouldn't tell me.
00:38:38Chitako, come in.
00:38:40I didn't mean to disturb you, doctor.
00:38:42I'm sorry.
00:38:44But you're not.
00:38:46Please. There was something I wanted to ask you.
00:38:50Misaki's dead, isn't that right?
00:38:54Do you think he was dissolved?
00:38:58I...
00:39:00I can't prove it.
00:39:02You can't?
00:39:04I can give you proof.
00:39:08I saw someone dissolve.
00:39:10Chitako!
00:39:18Get all the data recorded.
00:39:20Yes, sir.
00:39:22Oh.
00:39:24What happened? Is she ill?
00:39:26She was a little faint.
00:39:28What's the matter?
00:39:30Nurse, a stimulant.
00:39:32Yes, sir.
00:39:42Just rest,
00:39:44and don't worry.
00:39:46You'll be all right now.
00:39:48Dr. Maki, this is Chitako,
00:39:50the girl I told you about.
00:39:52Oh, I see.
00:39:54Masato told me about the trouble you're having.
00:39:56I'm sorry.
00:39:58We all want to help you.
00:40:02She's having a bad time.
00:40:04She's constantly watched
00:40:06by gangsters and police.
00:40:08Drink this.
00:40:20I've given up hope
00:40:22of ever seeing Misaki.
00:40:24She's gone.
00:40:26Tell me something.
00:40:28What is being done
00:40:30to protect other people from this?
00:40:34We could do a lot,
00:40:36but the police won't believe us.
00:40:38Maybe they will, later.
00:40:40Why later?
00:40:42Aren't people disappearing?
00:40:44Oh, it's no use.
00:40:46I don't know.
00:40:48Oh, it's no use.
00:40:50No one believes me.
00:40:52I saw a living man melt to nothing.
00:40:54Believe me, it's true.
00:40:56You must warn the people.
00:40:58I am sure of one thing.
00:41:00This can't be the work
00:41:02of the boys from the old Hanada gang.
00:41:04None of them figure in this at all,
00:41:06and we haven't another lead.
00:41:08I'm afraid
00:41:10we are going to have to start again.
00:41:12Yes?
00:41:18What is it?
00:41:20Your friend, Dr. Masada.
00:41:22Tell him I'm out.
00:41:24He brought Chitako with him.
00:41:26Chitako?
00:41:28Yes.
00:41:30Chief, would you excuse me?
00:41:36Hello.
00:41:38Dr. Maki sent me here
00:41:40as his official representative.
00:41:42Oh, more theories?
00:41:44All right, sit down.
00:41:48We have to announce
00:41:50our findings to the public at once.
00:41:52Hmm.
00:41:54Misaki
00:41:56and the gangster in Chitako's room
00:41:58have both disappeared,
00:42:00precisely as the sailors did
00:42:02on that deserted ship.
00:42:04I am listening. Go on.
00:42:06Furthermore,
00:42:08all those people disintegrated.
00:42:10That's what we have to face up to.
00:42:14It's much more serious than we thought.
00:42:16This thing could destroy all of us.
00:42:18Hmm. That's awful.
00:42:20Don't you even care?
00:42:22I am speaking to you officially now.
00:42:24And I am listening.
00:42:38Have you finished?
00:42:40Have you finished?
00:42:46If you don't want to believe me,
00:42:48at least have pity for Chitako.
00:42:50She's been hounded by you,
00:42:52pushed and terrorized
00:42:54by the hoodlums.
00:42:56Trust her, and she will cooperate.
00:42:58Come to the club,
00:43:00and she'll point them out to you.
00:43:02She says that's their meeting place.
00:43:04The young waiter is their contact man.
00:43:06He's the one to watch.

00:45:38I am leaving
00:45:40Already?
00:45:58What are you doing?
00:46:02Do you want to join me?
00:46:06No.
00:46:10Are you having a good time?
00:46:14No.
00:46:16Oh, look at the girls.
00:46:20Oh, look at the girls.
00:46:32So
00:46:57Keep going
00:47:02I'm so sorry.
00:47:32Got it.
00:48:02Honey?
00:48:18Get her down.
00:48:32You're welcome.
00:49:00Can't go up there.
00:49:09There's a guarding entrance.
00:49:10This way.
00:49:20What do you think you're doing?
00:49:22Get out of my way.
00:49:27Are you crazy?
00:49:30Let's get out.
00:49:41Look.
00:50:02Let me go.
00:50:29Let me go.
00:50:58Dr. Masada.
00:50:59Oh, Chitako.
00:51:00What?
00:51:01Are you sure?
00:51:02Positive.
00:51:03I just saw it myself.
00:51:04Be careful.
00:51:05I'll be there right away.
00:51:06It's the liquid creature.
00:51:07What?
00:51:08I am going to the nightclub.
00:51:09Call Dr. Maki at once.
00:51:10Yes, sir.
00:51:23What's that?
00:51:43Your attention, ladies and gentlemen.
00:51:55We must close the club at this time.
00:51:57We would appreciate it if everyone would leave as quickly and orderly as possible.
00:52:01This way.
00:52:02This way.
00:52:03No crowd.
00:52:04No rush.
00:52:05This way.
00:52:06No crowd.
00:52:08This way.
00:52:14This way.
00:52:37Chitako!
00:53:02Take her away from here.
00:53:10Don't touch it.
00:53:16Chief.
00:53:46I've lost that gangster, Ushida.
00:53:48He may be hiding in the basement.
00:53:50Let's go down.
00:53:51What's happening?
00:53:52What's going on down there?
00:53:55Chief.
00:53:56Chief.
00:53:57Chief.
00:53:58Chief.
00:53:59This was what Ushida was wearing.
00:54:28This afternoon.
00:54:50Just a moment.
00:54:51You can't go in there.
00:54:52It is not open to the press.
00:54:53Why not?
00:54:54The police are in there.
00:54:55They're not in there.
00:54:56Koho, stop kidding.
00:54:57You can't go in there.
00:54:58You can't go in there.
00:54:59You can't go in there.
00:55:00You can't go in there.
00:55:01You can't go in there.
00:55:02You can't go in there.
00:55:03You can't go in there.

00:55:10You can't go in there.
00:55:11You can't go in there.
00:55:12You can't go in there.
00:55:13You can't go in there.
00:55:14You can't go in there.
00:55:15You can't go in there.
00:55:16You can't go in there.
00:55:17You can't go in there.
00:55:18You can't go in there.
00:55:19You can't go in there.
00:55:20You can't go in there.
00:55:21You can't go in there.
00:55:22You can't go in there.
00:55:23You can't go in there.
00:55:24You can't go in there.
00:55:25You can't go in there.
00:55:26You can't go in there.
00:55:27You can't go in there.
00:55:28You can't go in there.
00:55:29You can't go in there.
00:55:30You can't go in there.

00:55:32You can't go in there.
00:55:33You can't go in there.
00:55:34You can't go in there.

00:55:36You can't go in there.
00:55:37You can't go in there.
00:55:38You can't go in there.
00:55:39You can't go in there.
00:55:40You can't go in there.
00:55:41You can't go in there.
00:55:42You can't go in there.
00:55:43You can't go in there.
00:55:44You can't go in there.
00:55:45Come closer please.
00:55:52This experiment I want to show you has a most important bearing on this case.
00:56:04Amazing!
00:56:08It seems alive!
00:56:14What about those, those strong rays?
00:56:18I will explain.
00:56:20Radioactivity has changed the first frog, biochemically, into that liquid creature.
00:56:26Please watch this.
00:56:28It would seem that the frog is dissolving when actually the liquid creature is eating
00:56:32him.
00:56:33Now, would you please step over here?
00:56:38Gentlemen, would you look into this?
00:56:41At the beginning, we didn't really know what its function was.
00:56:47After a number of experiments, we found out that such creatures could develop in radioactive
00:56:53areas and they are particularly attracted to human life for their very survival.
00:57:00It may interest you to look at the logbook that was found on the deserted ship.
00:57:05As you can see from the notes in this logbook here, six men were dissolved and then the
00:57:11other men became the creature's victims.
00:57:14Excuse me, sir.
00:57:16What I'd like to know is why has it come to Japan, especially to Tokyo?
00:57:21The H-bomb tests took place in Pacific waters and now in Tokyo Bay.
00:57:27We have found remnants of the deserted ship.
00:57:30This liquid creature is dangerous beyond belief.
00:57:33It could destroy us all.
00:57:34A liquid creature produced from an H-bomb explosion.
00:57:40Couldn't it be called H-Man?
00:57:59Gentlemen, this is one of the most critical moments in our entire history.
00:58:04We are facing a situation which cannot be minimized.
00:58:08Complete extermination.
00:58:10We have found out that in the development of the use of radioactivity, a force of destruction
00:58:16has been created which endangers Japan and the entire world.
00:58:24What can we do to stop the creature?
00:58:26So far, the only countermeasures are, first, the use of electricity of high voltage, secondly,
00:58:32the use of fire.
00:58:33These are the only deterrents we know of.
00:58:35Now let me illustrate.
00:58:38Fortunately, the damages up to now have been limited to this area up here, centering around
00:58:45this river.
00:58:46These particular sections have been the most deadly at this time.
00:58:51My recommendation now is that all sewers and any construction near the river be burned.
00:58:59We will adjourn now and we'll resume proceedings at precisely 2.30.
00:59:11You told me Ushida had this solved.
00:59:14He didn't.
00:59:15He's alive.
00:59:16What?
00:59:17I saw his clothes on the floor.
00:59:24He was very clever.
00:59:27But his clothes were not radioactive.
00:59:29I see.
00:59:30Too bad.
00:59:31It'll have to wait.
00:59:35We must concentrate now on exterminating the liquid creatures.
00:59:39Really glad to hear that.
00:59:42Still friends?
00:59:43Yes.
00:59:44Of course.
00:59:45I'm sorry.
00:59:46I was wrong.
00:59:47Chitako's a nice girl.
00:59:51Be good to her.
00:59:58Chitako, Dr. Masada's car is waiting outside for you.
01:00:01Thanks.
01:00:09Here she is.
01:00:18Have a good time.
01:00:21What are you doing here, doctor?
01:00:26Chitako just left in your car.
01:00:28Do you not stand for her?
01:00:29What?
01:00:30Follow that car.

01:18:11Their destruction today is no guarantee for the future.
01:18:23If man perishes from the face of the earth due to the effects of hydrogen bombing,
01:18:30it is possible that the next ruler of our planet may be the H-Man.
