Girl, 17, killed in M65 crash as three other teenagers suffer serious injuries

A 17-year-old girl has died following a horror crash on the M65 that has left three other teenagers in hospital with 'serious injuries'.

Emergency services rushed to the eastbound carriageway at Burnley shortly after 3.30am on Wednesday (October 2) following reports of a collision involving a Seat Ibiza.

Lancashire Constabulary said tragically a 17-year-old girl from Darwen, who was a passenger in the car, suffered multiple injuries.

00:36with the incident. It has since been reopened and an appeal has now been launched for witnesses
00:41and dashcam footage. Detective Sergeant Martin Wilcock of Lancashire Police's Road Policing
00:46Unit said,
00:47Very sadly, a young girl has lost her life as a result of this collision, and three other
00:51young people have been very badly injured. My thoughts are with the loved ones of all
00:54those involved. Our investigation is ongoing into the circumstances and I would appeal
00:59to anyone who either saw what happened or who has any dashcam or mobile footage to get
