Today, AD is welcomed by NBA All-Star Jimmy Butler to tour his epic mansion in Southern California. When the Miami Heat star moved into his complex he wanted to create a bright space full of natural light and pretty furniture. To make his vision a reality, Butler teamed up with Tiffany Brooks Interior and told her to go wild and do her thing in the space. From the medieval vibes of his seriously impressive wine cellar to a fully decked out Big Face coffee shop, Butler and Brooks designed a slam dunk of home.See more of the NBA star's Southern California home here

00:00Hey AD, I'm Jimmy Butler, welcome to California, better yet, welcome to my house.
00:16I think fancy people call this a foyer, I don't call it that, I call it the beginning
00:20of a house like the, I don't know, but it's not a foyer.
00:23You got art, it is a ton of space to do absolutely nothing.
00:26This is actually probably the most pointless area in the house, but I guess you just walk
00:31to the front door and then you're here.
00:33Oh, and there's a, there are roses.
00:46The designer I worked with, Tiffany, Tiffany Brooks Interior.
00:52I was just telling her, yo, get freaky with it, and she came in here and really fucked
00:56some shit up.
00:57I'm very impressed.
00:58I think I said I just want, like, it to be really, really, really light.
01:03Like, I want all this natural light, I want white walls, light floors, pretty couches
01:08and stuff.
01:09I didn't ask for this table, though, she put that there.
01:11I probably take a lot of credit for it now that I think about it.
01:14Like, when people ask, oh, what'd you do to the house?
01:15I was like, I put a table in this room, a piano over here, it was Tiffany that did it.
01:22This is like my live music room.
01:24When I say live music room, I mean if any of my musical friends are coming over, this
01:30is where we set them up.
01:32If and when we have karaoke, AD, everybody's invited, I will outperform anybody.
01:38I may not sound the best, but I guarantee I put on a great show.
01:41Ooh, go-to karaoke song.
01:43Right now, this second, a bar song, everybody, yeah, that one.
01:47And if we like, all time, it's Mario, Mario, however you want to say it, let me love you.
02:04This is the kitchen.
02:05That's my baby's chair right there.
02:07My daughter's seat, my significant other's seat.
02:09That's a lie.
02:10I'm single ladies, holla at me, y'all seen my house.
02:14So a normal morning, afternoon, indoor dinner, we don't really sit down, well the kids do.
02:20We all stand up and eat, like black people do, it's like we have chairs, we just don't
02:25use them.
02:26And we just make a complete utter mess, there's food all on the floor from the kids.
02:31At one point in time, we all have to understand that we are our kids' bitches, if you're a
02:36parent.
02:37Whatever the kids say, you just have to do.
02:39So we could have full-blown steak and potatoes, and then Riley's like, I want spaghetti.
02:46And then fucking Riley gets spaghetti, because I'm a little bitch.
02:56This place is called The Conservatory.
02:59The reason that I like this space is because like with the floors, I feel like I'm in Italy,
03:04but I'm in California, I'm at home.
03:06Hot, it is hot in this room.
03:09In this hot-ass window, in these windows, it is hot in here.
03:13The chandelier that's up here, it's custom-made for me, it's beautiful, it looks cool in this
03:19hot-ass room.
03:20Tiffany did design it, she picked, uh, just, there's too many shaped light bulbs up there,
03:27and I just think it's Tiffany being Tiffany, just hella extra for no reason.
03:32But it's, good job, Tiff.
03:34Did great.
03:39Now we are in the wine cellar, which is my new favorite area of the house.
03:45It's the vibe that I was going for, like darker, drink your wine, spill it on the floor, you
03:50can't really tell because it got all this dark brick.
03:53Chris Hoel is the master sommelier, is that how you say it?
03:58Sommelier.
03:59Sumo wrestler.
04:00He's the one that drinks all the wine, and he's the one that helps me to collect all
04:06of this expensive grape juice.
04:09This is my favorite wine, it is the absolute greatest, Sesekaya, shouts to y'all.
04:15In 2013, Mark Wahlberg was in town filming Transformers, and when we get to his trailer,
04:20he's like, hey, do you drink wine?
04:21And I was like, no, and then the dude next to me was like, yes you do, you don't tell
04:25Mark Wahlberg that you don't drink wine?
04:26And he popped a bottle of 2010 Sesekaya, and that's probably the most collected wine that
04:32I have.
04:33This is the hallway, I call this the big boy hallway, because obviously, all the big bottles.
04:38That leads to the main part of this wine cellar, I swear, if I hit one of these steps
04:43behind me, where all the normal sized bottles are, which is behind me, yeah, see that?
04:54I've been here a ton of times, that I know where each and every, I definitely didn't
04:58know that that last one was a step.
05:02Now we are here, we have made it to the rotunda.
05:06Look at this chandelier, Tifton did it again.
05:11Those are moon rocks on the top of the chandelier up there, straight from Mars.
05:16The total cellar holds about 20,000, and I think I got like 6,100 bottles in here as
05:22we speak.
05:23This behind everybody right here, you know what?
05:29This is my California section, you got the Screaming Eagle over here, and then we're
05:34going into Italy.
05:37This area is the Bordeaux, Bordeaux is here.
05:42This is probably my favorite bottle in here, a 1973 Mouton Rothschild, I know I butchered
05:48that because I don't speak French, but Picasso's painting is on here, and then from there,
05:53we go to, back that thing up, you a fine motherfucker, I want you to back that thing up.
05:59This is also Bordeaux, so keep backing that thing up, you a fine motherfucker, back that
06:04thing up.
06:05This is Burgundy, which me and Chris, we take a trip to Burgundy in the middle of July,
06:12so middle of July, we'll be in Burgundy, trying to get much more.
06:15Let's talk about two very, very, very important bottles to me, myself.
06:19The Code D'Estrinel, I think I said that right.
06:23This bottle means a lot to me because Neymar's number 10, and I think they only did 10 of
06:29these bottles, so I begged and pleaded with them to give me the 10th bottle.
06:35Neymar's the GOAT, so everything we do in here is all about number 10.
06:39And then this one is called Ducru, and this one is special because it's from 2019, which
06:45is my daughter's birth year, so they put Riley Butler on here.
06:48They did 33 of this collection, guess what number mine is?
06:53Any takers?
06:5410.
06:55Neymar again.
06:56It's all about Neymar, if you haven't noticed.
07:07We're at my domino table slash card table.
07:10This is where I be kicking ass.
07:13Oh, crazy.
07:15I started playing dominoes when I was probably like four, and this is how my dad taught me
07:20how to count.
07:21And ever since then, I've just been the best at it, I'm not afraid to admit that.
07:25Some people like to stay humble about it, fuck that, I am the best in the world at dominoes.
07:30A lot goes on out here, pool, cabana over there, kitchen, sand volleyball.
07:35The craziest part about the sand volleyball court is it used to be a tennis court, and
07:40then I was like, I don't even fucking like tennis, so I got a great idea, let's just
07:43dump fucking 20 tons of sand on top of it, and then the following summer, you fall in
07:49love with tennis.
07:50That's how stupid I am.
07:51So now I gotta figure out a place to put a tennis court.
07:53We work out on the sand, just a different way to get ready for the season.
07:57Running, volleyball, obviously, beach tennis is a new thing that we've been doing, and
08:03then foot volley, so whenever the Brazilians are over here at the house, that's the game
08:08that they wanna play.
08:11I'm not gonna say I'm not good, but it's a challenge.
08:15I'm not gonna say I've won every time, I'm not gonna say I've lost every time either,
08:19but it's difficult.
08:20I've lost every time.
08:21I just like Southern California because you got all the space that you need, it's quiet.
08:26I like that.
08:27I just wanna be around my people.
08:28I wanna do what I wanna do and not bother anybody.
08:31What better place to do it than Southern California?
08:33Yeehaw.
08:45This is my spot.
08:46This is the first Big Face coffee shop here, my own home.
08:50I will allow my neighbors to come in here, but for everybody here, coffee will cost you
08:5660 bucks, and I'm not fucking around.
08:58We don't take cash here, but I take cash under the table, so.
09:01Big Face Coffee is a venture that I really started in the bubble, and it just started
09:06out with a love of coffee, and since then, I've been able to build this incredible team
09:11behind Big Face to help make all of this stuff come to life.
09:15After basketball, this is what I wanna be doing.
09:18For me, personally, coffee's a lot like wine in the sense that you can never know everything
09:23about it, but more than anything, you get to sit down with people that you don't get
09:26to see every day, and I mean, that's always been my dream, just chill, coffee, and talk
09:31to some really good people.
09:33This is a custom machine that we did with La Marzocco.
09:36We got the opportunity to go visit La Marzocco in Italy, and the first thing that I saw when
09:42I was in there was this machine, and I was just like, can I please, please, please have
09:47one?
09:48They said yes, and now I have it in my own home.
09:49I don't think you'll see one of these anywhere else in the United States, by the way, so
09:54think about that.
10:01We are in the dining room.
10:04In the hood, growing up, where you eat at is called the living room, but now that I'm
10:08a little bit fancy, I have a dining room.
10:12This is where all my cool friends come over, and we eat dinner, and we drink expensive
10:16wines, and we talk about nothing important, and I get to put my foot up on this chair
10:20because I paid for it, so I do what I want to do in my house.
10:24I don't do too much in this space besides drink wine, and if my boys are here, and I
10:27don't want to share my wine that I paid for in my chair, then I don't have to, so I'm
10:32in here a lot by myself, too.
10:34Tiffany did an incredible job with these big paintings right here.
10:38I feel like they say something in this area.
10:40Tiffany picked these.
10:41Tiffany, great find, great pick.
10:43These are daffodils.
10:44Yeah, I'm a botanist.
10:56Right now, we are on this landing upstairs above the entry slash foyer.
11:04These chairs are Carl's chairs.
11:06Brian's a good friend of mine, so thank you for the chairs, Brian.
11:09They're out here because they were going to go in my daughter's room, but then I figured
11:13when I wasn't looking, she would draw all over them, so now I can watch her drawing
11:18them out here in this beautiful hallway because I know it's going to happen.
11:31This is my bed.
11:32It's customed.
11:33Tiffany didn't do that one.
11:35I did that.
11:36I think it's like nine by something.
11:39It's pretty big.
11:40Very, very, very comfortable, and then I have a ... It's not a strategically placed big
11:44face mug back there or anything, but it's a coffee cup back there.
11:48I wanted to be able to come here and just relax.
11:50I don't want too many colorful things.
11:52I want it to be very, very, very neutral.
11:54I think she overdid it on the fancy pillows on the bed.
11:57Every day I get in the bed, I have to throw all those off and then put them back on.
12:01I mean, the night ritual is my daughter comes running in here from the other room and jumps
12:07on the bed because she doesn't want to go to sleep like kids do, then I'm in here watching
12:13my show.
12:14I could be watching anything.
12:15Batman, Superman, Money Talks, ooh, Bad Boys.
12:19Love that movie.
12:21Fucking Bluey.
12:22I don't want to fucking watch Bluey at 11 o'clock.
12:25You shouldn't even be up at 11.
12:27As often as I should get great sleep in my own bed, because with my kids, I do not.
12:32But I love y'all.
12:33I really do.
12:34This view is really special to me.
12:36Once again, I love Europe.
12:38I love Italy.
12:39And so whenever I look out over the balcony, it's a way to say we kind of brought Italy
12:43to us here.
12:45Because growing up, I didn't even know where Italy was.
12:48I was never supposed to make it to go see Italy.
12:50So now I can wake up in the morning and I get my own little piece of Italy.
12:57My bathroom.
13:02I mean, it's a bathroom.
13:03It got two toilets.
13:05It got two showers.
13:07Tiffany wanted a stand-alone tub.
13:09Tiffany got a stand-alone tub.
13:11I'm going to take the credit for this one.
13:12I did ask for a floor-to-ceiling marble, actually.
13:16And I knew that this was marble.
13:18I definitely did.
13:19It was my idea to start on the floor and take it to the ceiling with the marble.
13:22I mean, I feel like you're dirty as hell if you don't spend a lot.
13:25You have to take showers.
13:27And I work out consistently.
13:29So I would say I'm in here about, if the kids are taking a bath and you can't leave your
13:35kids uncivilized because they just drink the pee water, which I don't even understand why
13:39kids do that.
13:40So they're in the fucking tub for 45 minutes.
13:43That adds on to the time that I'm in here.
13:44Probably like two showers a day, maybe three.
13:47And like 15 minutes.
13:4915 times three.
13:5157.
13:52Yeah, 57 minutes.
13:56♪♪
14:02Thanks for coming through.
14:04Kids must be fed.
14:05And I must play dominoes.
14:08See ya!
14:09♪♪
