00:00The dockworkers strike impacting ports from Maine to Texas, including New York and New Jersey,
00:04continues and its impact is being seen at the grocery store, albeit for all the wrong reasons.
00:12Toilet paper disappearing from store shelves as people panic buy, similar to what we saw
00:17during COVID. Pictures of empty toilet paper and paper towel shelves seen across social media
00:23as customers prepare for potential impacts in the strike. However, there is no need to stock up
00:29as more than 90 percent of toilet paper comes from within the United States, the rest from
00:34Canada and Mexico, which of course means it would not arrive via ships. Bananas, however,
00:40or almost exclusively imported from overseas, more than half arrive via the impacted ports.
