00:00Week 5 of the 2024 NFL regular season kicks off tonight in
00:07Atlanta. It's the Falcons and the Buccaneers. Short week
00:10Thursday night football game for a fourth consecutive week
00:13here in the NFL. Each and every one has been a divisional duel
00:18that continues tonight in this NFC South Showdown between the
00:22Dirty Birds and the Bucs. One and a half point spread DRS.
00:26That is it. Tampa three and one. Three consecutive
00:30divisional crowns in the NFC South. The Falcons squeaking by
00:35for a twenty-six twenty-four victory last week courtesy of
00:38Young Waku and the defense and special teams. The Falcons
00:42knock off the Saints at home last week for its second win of
00:46the year improving to two and two back to 500 despite not
00:50scoring an offensive touchdown. So a point and a half spread in
00:54favor of the home team in Atlanta. Forty-three and a
00:57half is the total. What is your expectation for the start of
01:00week five tonight on this Thursday? A lot of times we
01:03take a look at Thursday night football and figure that game's
01:05probably going under. You got two decent offenses here but
01:08you never like to see all this one offensive team didn't score
01:10a touchdown the previous week. Now, if we date two weeks ago,
01:13the Denver Broncos came into Tampa Bay and it completely
01:16embarrassed that Tampa Bay offense but they got untracked
01:18against the Philadelphia Eagles last week and did whatever they
01:20wanted to the Eagles. I do think we're in for a smoother
01:23game tonight. Anytime you have Baker Mayfield, don't you
01:25typically think the over because he's a gunsling which
01:28means he's going to make things happen with his wide receivers
01:31but also can make things happen in the opposite direction with
01:33sacks and interceptions. The one thing I need to see is more
01:36explosiveness out of that offense for the Atlanta Falcons
01:39and also keep in mind like B. John against the Philadelphia
01:42Eagles in prime time. He was good. He was electric. They
01:44ended up picking up the victory but his past two weeks hasn't
01:47been all that electric here particularly on the ground and
01:50quite frankly through the air as well but the one guy that
01:52actually has seized a little bit of control in that back
01:55clean is running for a high yards per carry average. That's
01:58Tyler Algier and if we're looking at these football teams
02:00coming in, you can run the football on both of these
02:03football teams. So, that's where I'm trying to set up the
02:06angle. Uses me from a passing angle but I'm trying to adjust
02:09to a running angle. Now, if you're doing that, that usually
02:12doesn't bowl well for the over at 43 and a half if you think
02:15that ground game is going to be under attack but I think both
02:18running backs, the two tandems on each side, I think they're
02:20going to lead the way tonight. If I'm looking from a side
02:23perspective, you know me. I lean towards home teams on
02:25Thursday night football down from three at the sports book
02:28to one and a half. I'm probably leaning towards Tampa Bay but
02:30I'm not really a side guy at this point. I think there's
02:33much more opportunities than I've been that we'll get to
02:35with some of the prop markets.
