00:10More than Rs. 20,000 crores will be allotted to the farmers of Maharashtra
00:18from tomorrow onwards.
00:21Friends, in the last 120 days,
00:32the Modi government, which is dedicated to the welfare of the farmers,
00:38has taken many farmer-friendly decisions under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
00:46As you know, our six-principle strategy is to increase production, reduce production costs,
01:01provide fair prices for production, fill natural reserves, diversify agriculture, add value to agriculture, and natural agriculture.
01:18In the last few days, some major decisions have been taken to ensure that the farmers get the right price.
01:29One decision, which is having an impact on our oil production and its prices,
01:43is that the oil imports in our country used to be 0% import duty,
01:54but now it has increased to 27.5%.
01:59Soyabeans, peanuts, mustard seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds are the biggest sources of oil.
02:16Earlier, cheap palm oil and other oils were imported to Madhya Pradesh.
02:25Because of that, the prices of soybeans were also very low.
02:33Due to this decision, the prices of soybeans have increased by an average of Rs. 500 per quintal.
02:41And the process of increasing is still going on.
02:44On the one hand, by increasing import duty, those who want to import oil from abroad will have to pay a higher price.
02:57This is benefiting our mills and our farmers.
03:03On the other hand, the government has decided to buy soybeans at a minimum support price
03:14from Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka and other states.
03:27And similarly, our Bhavantar Bhuktan Yojana will continue.
03:37Madhya Pradesh also produces Basmati rice.
03:41Now, the minimum export price of Basmati rice was set,
03:49because of which the export was becoming expensive.
03:52So, the minimum export price has been terminated.
03:56Similarly, rice will be deprived.
03:59This will increase the prices of Basmati rice.
04:02And even on non-Basmati rice, the prohibition on deprivation has been removed.
04:09So, even because of the prohibition, the prices of rice will be better for the farmers.
04:16The export duty of onions was 40% on onions.
04:22That has been reduced to 20%.
04:25All these decisions have been made so that the farmers can get the right price.
04:31Two major decisions have been taken yesterday.
04:34I wanted to give information about them today.
04:38India's total oil demand was 29.2 million tonnes in 22 states.
04:53But the oil produced in our state is only 12.7 billion tonnes.
05:05And to fulfill the demand, we have to depend on the foreign countries.
