A slipper was thrown at an officer and property was damaged after a group of Palestinians allegedly became upset after reportedly being denied permission to stay outside Wisma Transit Kuala Lumpur, WTKL.

00:26A statement by the Malaysian Armed Forces, ATM, on Friday says the person involved caused
00:32a commotion in front of the WTKL guard station with family and friends.
00:38WTKL is a hospitality complex primarily serving military personnel, civilian staff members
00:45of the Defence Ministry and their families in transit.
00:48It was understood that on Wednesday, WTKL denied the group's request to leave the premises
00:54as they were only in Malaysia in transit.
00:56They then entered the main lobby of WTKL, caused a commotion and went on a rampage by
01:02breaking vases and damaging the decorations there.
01:05One member of the group then allegedly threw a slipper at an officer.
01:09ATM added that representatives of the Palestinian Embassy were also present and tried to stop
01:14the commotion but were unsuccessful.
01:17Defence Minister Datuk Shri Mohammed Khaled Nordin has appealed to the public to refrain
01:22from blaming the entire Palestinian refugee community for the misdeeds of a few.
