DRAKON was born in 2017 as collaboration between Veleyar (guitar, music) and Terror (vocals, bass). In this tandem, in 2017, the first EP “I” was released, consisting of 5 own songs and a cover on a song of Polish black metal band Mgła.

"I" was published as self-released album, mixed by Anton Moskalenko, with lyrics written by Alena “Al D Vil” Velichinskaya.

After the release of debut album the line-up split, and Terror released the instrumental EP “The Last Battle of Angels” in the same year, 2017, and after that the project became frozen.

In the fall of 2021 Veleyar has resurrected DRAKON on his own. The recordings of the first full album, called “Awakening”, were begun and many professional session musicians are involved.The album is thematically dedicated to the Spiritual Revival of Man and Russian Motherland, through the prism of worship of the Forces of Nature.

After the release of the full-length album “Awakening”, during 2022 through Russian SoundAge Records, the band immediately began working on the EP “High Tales”. This mini album includes 5 songs, two of them are cover versions on Unanimated and Enslaved songs. Drakon signed with Sleaszy Rider SRL and “High Tales” was released on 7 April 2023.

Following “High Tales” and working non-stop, Drakon recorded their new manifest “Thunderdome” that was released worldwide on 9 February 2024.
