13:45the former linebacker now looks to disrupt other superstars
13:48with his brand of beautiful violence.

13:53Aggression is what you see and what you feel.
13:56With Harlem Lewis, I've done my homework on this man.
13:59He is a loner by trade.
14:01He amps himself up in his own unique ways.
14:04He started training at the Performance Center
14:06almost a year to the day.
14:09And during that entire year, he felt it was too long.
14:11He felt the spotlight, the attention.
14:13In the center of that ring is where he belongs.
14:16And finally, now he has a chance
14:18to show the world what he's capable of.
14:20And you talk about that training, Byron,
14:21within a year already with the vertical and broad jump
14:23and 10-yard shuttle,
14:25first on the leaderboard in the gym for NXT superstars.
14:28That guy's been a stud his entire career.
14:29You mentioned his football career at Moorhead State.
14:32Even in Italy, he was a number one player
14:34on both offense and defense.
14:35This guy only knows being the best,
14:38no matter what his trade is.
14:39Certainly a high-level prospect indeed,
14:41but I spoke to him earlier and he said,
14:43I simply love the idea of beating people up for a living.
14:46And seemingly he's found his home here in NXT.
14:48And we know Dante Chen loves the idea
14:50of being that gatekeeper,
14:51of taking on new superstars
14:53that competitors know nothing about
14:55and testing their grit, testing their ability,
14:58and showing why level up is his home court.
15:01And to that point, Byron,
15:02how does Chen ultimately always stay ready
15:04for competition with no tape on?
15:06It's tough.
15:07You know what I mean?
15:08A lot of superstars would not take up the task
15:10that Dante Chen has welcomed
15:12because to your point,
15:13you don't know what you're walking into.
15:15It could be the proverbial trap game,
15:16but that says a lot about the character of Dante Chen.
15:19As Chen with the shoulder tackles down goes Harlem Lewis,
15:21but only gets one
15:22because he believes that much of his ability.
15:24He doesn't care.
15:24We go again in the cover.
15:26He doesn't care who the opponent is,
15:27what your background is.
15:28He believes he'll be ready.
15:30And Chen will the third time be a charm.

16:02A veteran-like maneuver there to shift gears
16:05and now take over control against Dante Chen
16:07and Harlem Lewis.
16:08That metal head, rugged approach
16:10that could certainly get him some attention here in NXT.

16:14Trying to get some insight just from Harlem himself.
16:16He said, I train, I train again,
16:20and then I train harder.
16:21That's what I do in my spare time.
16:23Byron, you talk about him being somewhat of a loner.
16:24Goes to the gym alone, kind of does his own thing.
16:27Doesn't really seem to be drawn into any of the relationships
16:29with any other superstars on the roster.

16:35I mean, unless you're pursuing tag team wisdom,
16:38take a look at the viciousness of Harlem Lewis.
16:41If you're not a tag team competitor,
16:43this is a selfish business.
16:44If you walk in the door with that selfish mindset,
16:47knowing that you can't trust anybody,
16:48it could do you well.
16:49One of the greatest superstars of all time
16:51had a famous phrase, don't trust anybody.
16:54We've heard that one before, DTA.
16:55That certainly worked very well for a certain superstar.
16:58And let's see if Harlem Lewis can pick right up.

17:31And a landscape altering match is taking place
17:34at Bad Blood.
17:35So much anticipation.
17:37I cannot wait to see it firsthand.
17:40A lot will certainly shake up all around the WWE
17:42after tomorrow night.
17:44But right now with NXT now on the CW,
17:46a lot of superstars looking to turn heads
17:48and it starts right here to close out the week on Level Up.
17:50Dante Chen coming back the other way.
17:53And right on the doorstep yet again is The Gatekeeper.
17:56Chen has really relished that moniker
17:57all throughout his career,
17:58really leaned into it in recent weeks.
18:00Last couple of victories,
18:01whether it's on main event or here on Level Up,
18:03has kind of been in that gatekeeper role.
18:05That's not something Dante Chen has called him,
18:07so it was bestowed upon him
18:09by people who have watched his matches
18:11and he just welcomed it.
18:12And obviously, look, everybody needs their why
18:14and Dante Chen has his why,
18:15although I might ask why he tried to hit that crossbody
18:18because it's not going to work out well for Dante Chen.
18:21And Harlem Lewis certainly has his why,
18:23shifts the weight right there to the suplex,
18:25to the outside leg.
18:27And Harlem Lewis here, Byron, in his debut,
18:29certainly looking very impressive.
18:31Poised, comfortable, confident.
18:34Harlem Lewis does not look like
18:35this is his first match here on Level Up.
18:37Taking a look around NXT,
18:39have we seen anybody else display
18:40this type of short-tempered energy?
18:43There's not many examples I can point to in that locker room.
18:45There's a couple of guys with short fuses out there,
18:47but for a man, a superstar competitor,
18:50an athlete to come out in his first match
18:52with that level of swagger, very rare.
18:55I'm noticing Chen jockeying for position right here.
19:00That's a big opportunity, of course,
19:01coming up here in St. Louis,
19:04this coming Tuesday for NXT.
19:06You know, you think about certain superstars,
19:08I think about a confidence of a front-breaker,
19:12became Intercontinental Champion,
19:13it's a high bar to reach,
19:14but again, that could be a prototype
19:16that maybe a competitor like Harlem Lewis
19:18could aspire to be.
19:20As Dante Chen, feeling the support here
19:23of the NXT universe,
19:24his fourth straight victory,
19:26and the rookie Harlem Lewis standing right in front of him.
19:29Another big test here for the Gatekeeper.
19:32Dante Chen desperately needing to find that next gear
19:35that he's done so many times.
19:37This is where Chen thrives,
19:38back up against the wall,
19:40having to deliver,
19:41and Chen is doing such right now.
19:44As Dante Chen certainly would love to grab the attention
19:46of NXT General Manager Ava once again.
19:49Got him some opportunities a few months back,
19:51look at a climb right back up the ladder,
19:53and level on up.
