00:05:18the Undertaker faced Shawn Michaels in an epic battle on the night when the
00:05:23Undertaker's brother the demon Kane would appear for the first time in WWE
00:05:29since that night hell in a cell has made history
00:05:39it's made history while simultaneously tearing flesh shattering bodies ending
00:05:46careers and altering lives Drew McIntyre steps inside hell for the
00:05:53third time in his career he is yet to win in this matchup losing to Randy
00:06:00Orton for the WWE Championship four years ago losing to Bobby Lashley three
00:06:06years ago tonight Drew McIntyre hopes to end that streak and end the career of
00:06:14C.F. Punk
00:06:23you know Cory another interesting statistic Drew McIntyre made his
00:06:31premium live event debut 15 years and one day ago ironically in the hell in a
00:06:40cell premium live event oh how Drew McIntyre has come so far from that day
00:06:48hello everybody it's our pleasure to join us here in Atlanta tonight I'm
00:06:52Michael Cole he's Corey Graves it is going to be an historic night you know
00:06:57Cole in this industry we generally try to avoid using the word hatred
00:07:00superstars usually maintain certain levels of professionalism not the case
00:07:05with C.F. Punk and Drew McIntyre you can see by the look at McIntyre's eyes he
00:07:10has one mission tonight to end C.F. Punk for good celebrities and Hall of Famers
00:07:15joining us in Atlanta tonight of course a city rich in professional wrestling
00:07:20history when the stakes are the highest the stars come out and shine the
00:07:24brightest we are joined right behind us at ringside by the Hall of Famer himself
00:07:29Goldberg is in the house beside his son Gage taking in tonight's sights and
00:07:36sounds and also there's my guy Killer Mike Grammy Award-winning rapper actor
00:07:41and activist from right here in Atlanta member of the critically praised hip-hop
00:07:45duo Run the Jewels let me guess Cole you got Killer Mike that seat I did
00:07:50hung out with him backstage took pictures with him signed autographs big
00:07:54hip-hop guy took his nickname from me shoelace Killer Mike

00:09:15in his career is two and two in Hell in a Cell matches but this is his first in
00:09:28nearly 11 years right here in Atlanta back in 2012 CM Punk actually had a
00:09:36Hell in a Cell match against flyback defeating him inside this structure but
00:09:42you use the word hatred before that is what this is about for these two men
00:09:47they want to end each other's careers they want to maim each other they want
00:09:52to send each other to the hospital this is not wholly unfamiliar territory
00:09:58psychologically speaking for CM Punk if you look back years ago in Punk's career
00:10:04once upon a time he admitted in order to destroy the monsters of the world he
00:10:09himself must become a monster Punk has got to tap into that side of himself
00:10:15tonight if he wants to walk out of the cell or Atlanta at all he said Drew
00:10:19McIntyre has made him the man his first critics say he is McIntyre on the other
00:10:26hand tweeted out and also added a very emotional video today we said this is
00:10:30not going to be classic it's not going to be cinema it is going to be mutually
00:10:36assured destruction
00:10:49matchup is underway the official here tonight in this matchup inside the ring
00:10:59is Sean Bennett Daphne Lashon is outside of Hell in a Cell
00:11:04the rules of the matchup are simple you win via pinfall or submission there are
00:11:09no countouts there are no disqualifications Punk and McIntyre the
00:11:14trilogy starts now
00:11:34oh here we go McIntyre and Punk
00:11:43the opening swing State Farm Arena is rocking you can tell the WWE universe is
00:11:48in a downright sanguineous mood tonight McIntyre and CM Punk unloading McIntyre
00:11:55of course beat Punk back at SummerSlam Punk will return the favor in the
00:12:00in Berlin the night after that couple of nights later McIntyre would attack Punk
00:12:05he would beat him so viciously he would rip off CM Punk's bracelet and he would
00:12:10shove the beads into Punk's mouth angering Punk to the point that we're
00:12:15here today as this match progresses we'll find out did Drew McIntyre do what
00:12:23Punk claimed did McIntyre summon the devil himself or has Drew been
00:12:27successful in clouding Punk's headspace is Punk's psyche all over the place because
00:12:32he's clouded by rage yeah but what about McIntyre Drew McIntyre said that his
00:12:37wife has become second best in his heart due to the hatred that he has for CM Punk
00:12:44McIntyre is gone oh master plea played his mind games leading up to this point
00:12:50as Punk's lower back crashes into the steel in the early moments of this one
00:12:54but also Corey let's not forget the obsession that McIntyre has had with
00:12:57Punk and what Punk has cost McIntyre on a number of occasions the World
00:13:01Championship including at WrestleMania Punk now blocks it CM Punk drives
00:13:08McIntyre McIntyre able to block however both superstars right now attempting to
00:13:13utilize the cage like a cheese grater we have the opportunity to talk to some of
00:13:17the legends who've been in Hell in a Cell over the years the one thing they
00:13:19will tell you is that to be successful oh you have to use the cell as a weapon
00:13:25you have to use it to your advantage tonight these superstars know that pain
00:13:30is not the enemy pain is the call to greatness McIntyre into the steel
00:13:37and now CM Punk driving his shoulders into the ribs of the Scottish warrior
00:13:43and again driving McIntyre into the steel structure the aforementioned
00:13:49strategy of utilizing the cell to your advantage you are surrounded by a
00:13:54gigantic weapon Punk has said on a number of occasions this is not the man
00:13:58that he wants to be the man that Drew McIntyre has made him over the past
00:14:03number of months beginning at the Royal Rumble when McIntyre injured Punk
00:14:07causing an opportunity at WrestleMania this may not be the man who CM Punk
00:14:11wants to be Michael Cole but this is who CM Punk has been who CM Punk is in his
00:14:16heart no fear no hope fight tonight like there's no tomorrow because for Punk
00:14:21there may not be and the same goes for McIntyre you're absolutely right
00:14:27McIntyre said Punk you think you're supernatural but you're nothing but a
00:14:31man and Punk now with a steel chair in hand and McIntyre averting disaster with
00:14:37a boot right to the midsection and now with a chair in the spine of Punk this
00:14:45will not be a five-star wrestling classic that is for sure these men want
00:14:52to punish and maim one another limited only by the confines of the cell in
00:14:59their own imaginations very few men are ever the same when they walk out of this
00:15:06structure this is what makes McIntyre so dangerous goodness so devastating the
00:15:11Scottish warrior is absolutely ruthless in every sense of the word
00:15:17McIntyre now looking for a for some more weapons I mean you ask a guy like that
00:15:22the Undertaker Corey who's been inside this structure 14 times in his career
00:15:27every time he left he was never the same right in and of itself is nothing sort
00:15:32of miraculous I doubt that record will ever be top and McIntyre now looking
00:15:36through a toolbox under the ring utilize the control and my god nearly
00:15:41took Punk's head off with a wrench and now CM Punk unloading on McIntyre and
00:15:48Punk
00:15:51using the wrench now driving it into the face of McIntyre and again CM Punk knows
00:15:59what he has to do this isn't what he wanted but this is what Punk will do to
00:16:04win and how long can you last how deep can you dig how long will you be locked
00:16:09in this structure yes guys like Triple H and Shawn Michaels
00:16:13who in 2004 had the longest ever Hell in a Cell match in over 47 minutes
00:16:18well Punk and McIntyre go longer than that tonight and now driving Punk back
00:16:25down to the mat
00:16:29both of these superstars have landed some seriously heavy artillery in the
00:16:34early moments of this matchup as McIntyre connects with a boot right to
00:16:39the forehead of CM Punk and the official is there either count of 1 2 3 or the
00:16:47tap-out there are no other rules inside Hell in a Cell and McIntyre just ripped
00:16:54the legs off that table and Drew's gonna use those legs as a weapon or at least
00:16:59attempt to. That would have been a disaster and now a drop toehold Adam Zappel
00:17:07first into the table and McIntyre got his hands up as best he could to protect
00:17:11his throat but there was definitely some contact and now it's CM Punk with the
00:17:18legs of the table in his hands utilizing it as a weapon driving it in the face of McIntyre
00:17:24and now trying to choke the leg from Drew as he pounds away with the right hand
00:17:29and the WWE Universe learning alongside Drew McIntyre that the inside of CM Punk's head is a
00:17:34scary scary place the point I was going to make is Corey you probably know CM Punk better than anyone
00:17:42you guys were the best of friends a number of years ago you've seen Punk
00:17:46you've seen the good and the bad side of this man but even my myself I don't know
00:17:52what Punk is truly capable of I have never been trapped inside of Hell in a Cell with CM Punk
00:17:58and again driving McIntyre spine and head first into that table it has never been a matter of
00:18:04self-preservation with anybody I've seen step in the ring with CM Punk McIntyre has made it
00:18:09abundantly clear he wants to end Punk's career ruin Punk's life tonight now Punk looks like he
00:18:15wants to do the same to McIntyre and look at trying to drive McIntyre his eye into the oh
00:18:21God into the leg of the table McIntyre trying to somehow block and does hey listen Punk said
00:18:29despite the best efforts of my family to stop me from going into this matchup because I can't
00:18:35afford a Hell in a Cell match at this point in my career but if this means the end of my career so
00:18:40be it because I have to end Drew McIntyre that just speaks volumes to how deep under the skin
00:18:47of CM Punk McIntyre has managed to get and now Punk with McIntyre up on his shoulders
00:18:53thinking about go to sleep McIntyre wisely grasping the cell excellence in the world
00:18:58talking about Hell in a Cell as we kick off the night tonight inside this structure with McIntyre
00:19:17this is going to be one of those nights if nothing else with this play Drew McIntyre has
00:19:23bought himself some extremely valuable time to recover to regain his bearings and to figure out
00:19:29new ways to torture his opponent
00:19:34the CM Punk champs bringing to the State Farm here in Atlanta
00:19:39sold out over nearly 17,000 on hand here tonight
00:19:49now McIntyre again looking to use his power and now with Punk up McIntyre
00:19:57face first ramrodding Punk into the cell you know Corey we've talked about McIntyre a lot
00:20:05he's terminated like the way that he's built and now look at the power from McIntyre to Punk
00:20:12we called him a Scottish warrior we called him a terminator but I believe the term psychopath
00:20:17is most apropos tonight hey you and I both had the opportunity to talk to Drew earlier today
00:20:22he had that deep far away look in his eyes like I don't even know if he knew what he was talking
00:20:26about well right now Drew McIntyre is loving what he's seeing CM Punk has begun to bleed
00:20:34after meeting the steel face first and it is what McIntyre
00:20:38promised tonight these hallowed grounds may very well run red
00:20:45this could finish it off the head of CM Punk
00:20:54the State Farm Arena which sits on the site of the legendary Omni in downtown Atlanta that has
00:21:02seen some of the great battles some of the most vicious battles in the history of wrestling
00:21:08and tonight another chapter added McIntyre Punk in a cell oh my goodness
00:21:16hatred
00:21:26disdain disgust I'm gonna end your career your wife is gonna leave you no
00:21:36McIntyre reiterating the deeply insulting comments he made on Monday Night Raw about Punk's wife
00:21:46McIntyre wants to prove to the WWE universe that he is a man of his word that the Scottish
00:21:51Warrior will be the one responsible for ending Punk once and for all now back to the toolbox
00:21:56oh my gosh the wrench I believe it is right into the open wound of CM Punk and Punk writhing and
00:22:02screaming in pain now look at the sick look on McIntyre's face sadistic remorseless it's only
00:22:10driving and fueling McIntyre
00:22:18Punk a crimson mask has fallen over his face the best time to see red as a superstar is when it's
00:22:28coming from your opponent and now McIntyre ripping out yet another table in a match that thus far
00:22:37has been very one-sided CM Punk desperately I'm not even sure Punk knows where he's at Corey
00:22:46I gotta agree with you Sean Bennett's in there keeping an eye on the situation checking on Punk
00:22:52making sure Punk can continue but listen to your point I know CM Punk extremely well you're gonna
00:22:58have to stop this match to protect Punk from himself because Punk will not quit and think
00:23:02about this Corey you throw up the Royal Rumble right this is CM Punk's third match Drew McIntyre
00:23:09wrestles every single week almost and now Punk's locked inside a cage against the man who's it he's
00:23:16a psycho he's an absolute psychopath McIntyre who's in the best shape of his career and now he
00:23:21just wants to do harm that's all he wants to do here listen Cole you and I are both guilty of
00:23:25leaning into the romance of this industry it's amazing to have CM Punk back in WWE in 2024
00:23:32inside hell in itself but let's look at the reality of the situation Punk has not been
00:23:36competing at this level for quite some time particularly not against someone as dangerous
00:23:40as Drew McIntyre Punk might be outgunned tonight and you notice the black armband on the left
00:23:46bicep of McIntyre he told us he was wearing that tonight because this was Punk's funeral
00:23:52he was wearing black out of quote respect for CM Punk McIntyre also wanted to offer his apologies
00:24:01in advance for what he does to the straight edge superstar now Punk though looking to rally
00:24:07flashback to the corner there's that patented running knee the patented high knee from Punk
00:24:11but Punk can't capitalize that might have been it Cole that might have been a last gasp from Punk
00:24:19CM Punk needs to tap into those energy reserves if they exist anymore
00:24:23and now Punk in trouble trying to hang on
00:24:32and now Punk climbing up to the top rope
00:24:37Punk takes down McIntyre
00:24:43you can see Punk blinking his eyes opening them wide as the blood begins to run through I don't
00:24:48know Cole if you've had blood in your eyes you can't see a damn thing and if you can't see you
00:24:52can't fight I can only imagine the pain as Punk now with a that's he has a wrench in his hand as
00:25:03he climbs up to the top rope Punk gonna use it as a weapon McIntyre was able to intersect
00:25:10and send Punk across the ring with a suplex
00:25:22look at the look on the face of McIntyre and a kip up to rub it in the face of CM Punk who
00:25:38Corey for much of the last 10 minutes or so has looked absolutely helpless and defenseless
00:25:44and now McIntyre looks for the kill shot and Punk wisely wisely rolled out of the ring
00:25:51that was brilliant that is veteran ring awareness from CM Punk
00:25:59Punk is physically maimed exhausted beat
00:26:07to the face of McIntyre and suddenly Punk's got a chance
00:26:12if nothing else Punk has some time to compose himself to try to get his sight back to 100%
00:26:18watch this
00:26:24and now McIntyre's been cut open and now it's McIntyre who's bleeding and tasting his own
00:26:30blood and now CM Punk into the ring toolbox in hand using it as a weapon and unloading
00:26:37on McIntyre we're gonna have to break out the Muda scale pretty soon as Punk makes the climb
00:26:43to the top turnbuckle toolbox in hand McIntyre can't see try to wipe the blood
00:26:48and again he's taken down blinded battered brutalized
00:26:56blinded by blood blinded by rage blinded by hate these two men destroying each other inside the
00:27:05cell
00:27:12and there's a running knee by Punk again a little bit more on that one this time
00:27:16and now the momentum beginning to build by Punk and there's a third to McIntyre
00:27:20and now it's McIntyre who's in trouble
00:27:25and off the bulldog Drew McIntyre's on dream streak and I don't know where Punk is getting
00:27:35it but he's summoning the energy summoning the will to turn the tides inside the cell
00:27:45and now Punk calling for the end
00:27:50McIntyre struggling somehow to get to his feet
00:27:55grabbing the ropes Punk now setting up for the go to sleep the GTS McIntyre fighting out however
00:28:06counters for counters and back up again go through GTS go to sleep McIntyre's down but he rolls out
00:28:13of the ring I don't know if that was wherewithal or instinct from McIntyre but Punk realizes that
00:28:21may have been his best shot to end this take another look Punk hoisting up the massive McIntyre
00:28:32knee directly on the temple Drew may have been out but McIntyre able to roll under the bottom
00:28:40rope and this one rolls on this is absolutely incredible and seeing Punk I don't know if you
00:28:44saw moments ago Corey Punk was laughing Punk was laughing at the destruction that's happening here
00:28:51just feet away from us
00:28:58Punk now McIntyre
00:29:01from out of nowhere McIntyre for the win
00:29:14this is unreal McIntyre instinctively now with a Claymore
00:29:19coming in with coming within an eyelash of victory but CM Punk survives
00:29:31what an incredible match Corey I don't even know if we should call it a match I mean this is a
00:29:38fight this is a brawl however you describe it it is quickly becoming unforgettable and McIntyre
00:29:47looking to end it and McIntyre once again with Punk in trouble McIntyre looking for another
00:29:52Claymore Punk able to move out of harm's way and now Punk gonna turn things around Punk gonna look
00:29:58for a submission hold here does Punk have it in him to finish it and we saw this in fashion Berlin
00:30:05going for a sharpshooter I believe here and he's got it in and remember McIntyre tapped
00:30:10he tapped in Berlin he tapped out to this in Berlin if you ask McIntyre Drew outsmarted Punk
00:30:16in Berlin but right now center of the ring inside the cell McIntyre is counting down the seconds
00:30:23before he submits
00:30:28remember ropes will not break and now using a wrench and pounding away with the wrench to Punk
00:30:36and Punk forced to break the hold you know there are medical staff here at ringside Corey they can
00:30:42do nothing to stop this all they can do is look on as McIntyre continues to barbarically brutalize
00:30:49Punk McIntyre trying to carve up CM Punk's face like a jack-o'-lantern
00:30:55it is hell on earth inside hell in a cell for both Drew McIntyre and CM Punk
00:31:09now listen this is a an understandable decision by Sean Bennett just trying to
00:31:13to wipe the blood out of the eyes of the superstars so that they can continue
00:31:17so that they can do their best to protect themselves for potential catastrophe
00:31:22but that's all you can hope for
00:31:27and McIntyre's expression changing Punk's expression changing as well
00:31:37and now Punk with the right hand and McIntyre as well
00:31:48oh
00:31:56here we go looking for future shock future shock which is what injured Punk in the rumble
00:32:01and now Punk with McIntyre up top lands on his feet hit a big chop to Punk
00:32:06oh
00:32:14kick from Punk both men down critical moment now in this match between these warriors these veterans
00:32:25it all began last November where the return of CM Punk to WWE at Survivor Series
00:32:33and that kicked off a lot of superstars including Drew McIntyre who believed Punk wanted to wanted to
00:32:40kill this business that CM Punk had no business being back in WWE the company had buried for a
00:32:46decade and that has driven us to tonight and the trip the final match in this trilogy between Punk
00:32:52and McIntyre and in some twisted way Drew McIntyre feels that he's doing the right thing by all of
00:32:58WWE by eliminating Punk once and for all and Punk caught him the WWE universe certainly doesn't
00:33:04seem to agree but you can't tell McIntyre otherwise as intense a match as you'll ever see
00:33:14McIntyre now just powering up Punk oh god oh good god oh my god through the table
00:33:21through the damn table Punk ain't getting up
00:33:34my god first off was the power of McIntyre and then it was this impact both men crashing
00:33:40through the table and everything they put their bodies through here in this match glory
00:33:45and it's difficult to tell who got the worst of that landing of the exchange
00:33:49was it McIntyre was it Punk Drew obviously the first to stir
00:33:56Punk has not moved McIntyre must get Punk back in the ring for a pinfall or a tap out
00:34:07what these two men are putting themselves through tonight well you and I have talked all day about
00:34:13all the history in pro wrestling in Atlanta about the last battle of Atlanta between Tommy Rich and
00:34:19Buzz Sawyer this may be setting a whole new standard of brutality in this business and
00:34:25now McIntyre grabbing the steel steps now Punk hasn't moved Corey see if Punk has not moved and
00:34:31I don't know if he's gonna start Cole I'm starting to get worried Punk is a sitting duck these guys
00:34:39he can't even pick up the steps they're superstars but at the end of the day they're damn human beings
00:34:44Cole McIntyre gonna try one more time to lift those very insanely heavy steel steps and Drew's
00:34:54right here in front of us look at the lacerations and the welts on the back of Drew McIntyre and
00:34:59McIntyre doing everything he can to lift those steel steps up McIntyre now climbing one step
00:35:05and he's gonna toss I have no idea McIntyre can't even get the steps in the ring
00:35:12his back is absolutely killing him
00:35:19McIntyre doing his best to soldier forward to continue this onslaught on CM Punk
00:35:25thank god Punk's moving yeah Punk finally finally able to make it to his knees
00:35:35but Punk he's got to just the look in his eyes is almost one of almost defeat Corey
00:35:40it's like how much more can I put myself through but Punk won't accept defeat Cole that's what
00:35:45worries me that's why I'm grateful Sean Bennett's in there because Punk won't quit until his heart
00:35:50stops or until the lights go out and Punk can't continue and McIntyre now just collapses in the
00:35:55ring both men are down and what has been an unbelievable unbelievably physical match that
00:36:01has taken an unbelievable toll on both of these men Punk though with McIntyre up going to sleep
00:36:06again McIntyre down cover for the win McIntyre kicked out you gotta be kidding me
00:36:14I don't have the words I do somebody win this damn match and end this brutality that's what has
00:36:32to happen here I mean the match is continuing we know the goal for both superstars was to end the
00:36:40other's career the match is still going on and I guarantee you both of them are flirting with
00:36:45career-threatening injury yeah but these are two men that don't need this Corey everything that
00:36:50McIntyre now McIntyre up to the top of the steps
00:37:04McIntyre for the win and Punk is alive Punk is alive but I don't think Punk's anywhere close
00:37:15to getting back into this fight Cole look at this white noise again how high on Punk's back
00:37:21he lands listen oh my goodness impact that echoed throughout the State Farm Arena and it's getting
00:37:29to the point in this matchup where the WWE Universe is getting uncomfortable Cole it feels uncomfortable
00:37:34in this building right now it's like we're witnessing something we're not supposed to be
00:37:38seeing and again Corey like I said before these men have accomplished so much in their careers
00:37:42multiple time world champions and none of it means a damn thing if they can't walk out of here on

01:01:10situation Nia is down Bayley's got to move Nia into the ring in order to win the title

01:01:28go back outside the ring so the recount can reset and this is where Bayley's thinking of the big
