13:41the former linebacker now looks to disrupt other superstars
13:44with his brand of beautiful violence.

13:49Aggression is what you see and what you feel with Harlem Lewis.
13:53I've done my homework on this man.
13:55He is a loner by trade.
13:57He amps himself up in his own unique ways.
14:00He started training at the Performance Center almost a year to the day.
14:04And during that entire year, he felt it was too long.
14:07He felt the spotlight, the attention.
14:09In the center of that ring is where he belongs.
14:11And finally, now he has a chance to show the world what he's capable of.
14:16And you talk about that training, Byron, within a year,
14:18already with the vertical and broad jump and 10-yard shuttle.
14:21First on the leaderboard in the gym for NXT superstars.
14:24That guy's been a stud his entire career.
14:25You mentioned his football career at Moorhead State.
14:27Even in Italy, he was a number one player on both offense and defense.
14:31This guy only knows being the best, no matter what his trade is.
14:35Certainly a high-level prospect, indeed.
14:37But I spoke to him earlier, and he said,
14:39I simply love the idea of beating people up for a living.
14:42And seemingly has found his home here in NXT.
14:44And we know Dante Chen loves the idea of being that gatekeeper,
14:47of taking on new superstars that competitors know nothing about
14:51and testing their grit, testing their ability,
14:54and showing why level up is his home court.
14:57And to that point, Byron, how does Chen ultimately always stay ready
15:00for competition with no table?
15:02It's tough, you know what I mean?
15:04A lot of superstars would not take up the task that Dante Chen has welcomed
15:08because, to your point, you don't know what you're walking into.
15:11It could be the proverbial trap game,
15:12but that says a lot about the character of Dante Chen.
15:15As Chen with the shoulder tackles, down goes Harlem Lewis,
15:17but only gets one because he believes that much in his ability.
15:20He doesn't care.

15:24He believes he'll be ready.

16:06that could certainly get him some attention here in NXT.

16:11Harlem himself, he said,

16:16And then I train harder.
16:17That's what I do in my spare time.
16:19You talked about him being somewhat of a loner.
16:20Goes to the gym alone, kind of does his own thing.
16:23Doesn't really seem to be drawn into any of the relationships
16:25with any other superstars on the roster.

16:43knowing that you can't trust anybody,
16:44it can do you well.
16:45One of the greatest superstars of all time
16:47had a famous phrase,

16:51That certainly worked very well for a certain superstar.

17:42a lot of superstars looking to turn heads.
17:44And it starts right here to close out the week on Level Up.

17:51As Chen has really relished that moniker
17:53all throughout his career.
17:54Really leaned into it in recent weeks.
17:56Last couple of victories,
17:57whether it's on main event or here on Level Up,
17:59has kind of been in that Gatekeeper role.
18:01That's not something Dante Chen has called himself.
18:03It was bestowed upon him by people
18:05who have watched his matches.
18:06And he just welcomed it.
18:07And honestly, look, everybody needs their why.
18:10And Dante Chen has his why.
18:11Although I might ask why he tried to hit that crossbody
18:14because it's not going to work out well for Dante Chen.
18:17And Harlem Lewis certainly has his why.
18:19Shifts the weight right there to the suplex.

18:22And Harlem Lewis here, Byron, in his debut,
18:25certainly looking very impressive.
18:26Poised, comfortable, confident.
18:29Harlem Lewis does not look like this is his first match
18:32here on Level Up.
18:33Taking a look around NXT,
18:34have we seen anybody else display this type
18:36of short-tempered energy?
18:38There's not many examples I can point to in that locker room.
18:41There's a couple of guys with short fuses out there,
18:43but for a man, a superstar competitor,
18:46an athlete to come out in his first match
18:48with that level of swagger, very rare.
18:50Listen, Chen jockeying for position right here.
18:54That's a big opportunity, of course,
18:56coming up here in St. Louis,
18:59this coming Tuesday for NXT.
19:01You think about certain superstars,
19:03I think about a confidence of a front breaker.
19:06Became Intercontinental Champion.
19:08It's a high bar to reach.
19:09But again, that could be a prototype
19:11that maybe a competitor like Harlem Lewis
19:13could aspire to be.
19:15As Dante Chen feeling the support here
19:18of the NXT Universe,
19:19looking to rally to his fourth straight victory.
19:21And the rookie Harlem Lewis
19:23standing right in front of him.
19:24Another big test here for the Gatekeeper.
19:27Dante Chen desperately needing to find that next gear
19:30that he's done so many times.
19:32This is where Chen thrives.
