00:07:03You can see by the look in McIntyre's eyes.
00:07:05He has one mission tonight.
00:07:07To end CM Punk for good.

00:09:27And here in Atlanta, back in 2012, CM Punk actually had a Hell in a Cell match
00:09:33against Ryback, defeating him inside this structure.
00:09:38But you used the word hatred before.
00:09:41That is what this is about for these two men.
00:09:44They want to end each other's careers.
00:09:46They want to maim each other.
00:09:48They want to send each other to the hospital.
00:09:52This is not wholly unfamiliar territory, psychologically speaking, for CM Punk.
00:09:57If you look back years ago in Punk's career, once upon a time,
00:10:01he admitted in order to destroy the monsters of the world,
00:10:05he himself must become a monster.
00:10:08Punk has got to tap into that side of himself tonight
00:10:11if he wants to walk out of the cell or Atlanta at all.
00:10:14He said Drew McIntyre has made him the man his first critics say he is.
00:10:21McIntyre, on the other hand, tweeted out and also added a very emotional video today
00:10:26where he said this is not going to be classic.
00:10:28It's not going to be cinema.
00:10:30It is going to be mutually assured destruction.
00:10:46Matchup is underway.
00:10:49The official here tonight in this matchup inside the ring is Sean Bennett.
00:10:56Daphne Lashon is outside of hell in a cell.
00:11:00The rules of the matchup are simple.
00:11:02You win via pinfall or submission.
00:11:05There are no countouts.
00:11:06There are no disqualifications.
00:11:09Punk and McIntyre, the trilogy starts now.
00:11:18Oh, my God!
00:11:36Here we go, McIntyre and Punk.
00:11:38From the opening swing, State Farm Arena is rocking.
00:11:42You can tell the WWE Universe is in a downright sanguinous mood tonight.
00:11:47McIntyre and CM Punk unloading McIntyre of course beat Punk back at SummerSlam
00:11:53Punk would return the favor in the spot match at Bass in Berlin. The night after that a couple of nights later
00:12:00McIntyre would attack Punk he would beat him so viciously he would rip off CM Punk's
00:12:05bracelet and he would shove the beads into Punk's mouth angering Punk to the
00:12:10point that we're here today. As this match progresses we'll find out did Drew
00:12:17McIntyre do what Punk claimed? Did McIntyre summon the devil himself or has
00:12:23Drew been successful in clouding Punk's headspace? Is Punk's psyche all over the place
00:12:28because he's clouded by rage? Yeah but what about McIntyre? Drew McIntyre said
00:12:32that his wife has become second best in his heart due to the hatred that he has
00:12:38for CM Punk. McIntyre has masterfully played his mind games leading up to this
00:12:45point as Punk's lower back crashes into the steel in the early moments of this
00:12:49one. But also Corey let's not forget the obsession that McIntyre's had with Punk
00:12:53and what Punk has cost McIntyre on a number of occasions the World
00:12:57Championship including at WrestleMania. Punk now blocks it. CM Punk drives McIntyre
00:13:05able to block however. Both superstars right now attempting to utilize the cage
00:13:09like a cheese grater. We have the opportunity to talk to some of the
00:13:12legends who've been in Hell in a Cell over the years. The one thing they will
00:13:15tell you is that to be successful you have to use the cell as a weapon. You
00:13:21have to use it to your advantage. Tonight these superstars know that pain is not
00:13:26the enemy. Pain is the call to greatness. McIntyre into the steel.
00:13:33And now CM Punk driving his shoulders into the ribs of the Scottish warrior
00:13:39and again driving McIntyre into the steel structure. The aforementioned strategy of
00:13:45utilizing the cell to your advantage. You are surrounded by a gigantic weapon.
00:13:51Punk has said on a number of occasions this is not the man that he wants to be.
00:13:55The man that Drew McIntyre has made him over the past number of months. Beginning
00:14:00at the Royal Rumble when McIntyre injured Punk. Causing an opportunity at
00:14:04WrestleMania. This may not be the man who CM Punk wants to be Michael Cole but
00:14:08this is who CM Punk has been. Who CM Punk is in his heart. No fear no hope. Fight
00:14:15tonight like there's no tomorrow. Because for Punk there may not be. And the same
00:14:20goes for McIntyre. You're absolutely right. McIntyre said Punk you think you're
00:14:25supernatural but you're nothing but a man. And Punk now with a steel chair in
00:14:29hand and McIntyre averting disaster with a boot right to the midsection. And now
00:14:35with a chair in the spine of Punk. This will not be a five-star wrestling
00:14:43classic. That is for sure. These men want to punish and maim one another.
00:14:52Limited only by the confines of the cell and their own imaginations.
00:14:58Very few men are ever the same when they walk out of this structure. This is what
00:15:03makes McIntyre so dangerous. Goodness. So devastating. The Scottish warrior is
00:15:08absolutely ruthless in every sense of the word. McIntyre now looking for a for
00:15:15some more weapons. I mean you ask a guy like the Undertaker Corey. He's been
00:15:19inside this structure 14 times in his career. Every time he left he was never
00:15:24the same. That in and of itself is nothing short of miraculous. I doubt that
00:15:29record will ever be topped. And McIntyre now looking through a toolbox under the
00:15:33ring. Utilize the control. And my god nearly took Punk's head off with a wrench.
00:15:38And now CM Punk unloading on McIntyre. And Punk using the wrench now. Driving it into the face of McIntyre.
00:15:52And again CM Punk knows what he has to do. This isn't what he wanted but this
00:15:58is what Punk will do to win. And how long can you last? How deep can you dig? How
00:16:04long will you be locked in this structure? Yes guys like Triple H and Shawn Michaels
00:16:09who in 2004 had the longest ever Hell in a Cell match in over 47 minutes. Will Punk
00:16:15and McIntyre go longer than that tonight?
00:16:19And now driving Punk back down to the mat.
00:16:26Both of these superstars have landed some seriously heavy artillery in the
00:16:30early moments of this matchup. As McIntyre connects with a boot right to
00:16:34the forehead of CM Punk. And the official is there. Either count of one two three
00:16:42or the tap out. There are no other rules inside Hell in a Cell. McIntyre just
00:16:50ripped the legs off that table. And Drew's gonna use those legs as a weapon or at least attempt to.
00:16:58That would have been a disaster. And now a drop toehold. Adam Zappel's first into the table.
00:17:04McIntyre got his hands up as best he could to protect his throat but there
00:17:08was definitely some contact. And now it's CM Punk with the legs of the table
00:17:14in his hands. Utilizing it as a weapon. Driving it in the face of McIntyre.
00:17:20And now trying to chunk the leg from Drew as he pounds away with the right hand.
00:17:24And the WWE Universe learning alongside Drew McIntyre that the inside of CM Punk's head is a scary scary place.
00:17:32The point I was going to make is Corey you probably know. Oh CM Punk better than anyone.
00:17:38You guys were the best of friends a number of years ago. You've seen Punk. You've seen the good and the bad side of this man.
00:17:46But even myself I don't know what Punk is truly capable of. I have never been trapped inside
00:17:52of Hell in a Cell with CM Punk. And again driving McIntyre spine and head first into that table.
00:17:58It has never been a matter of self-preservation with anybody I've seen step in the ring with CM Punk.
00:18:04McIntyre has made it abundantly clear he wants to end Punk's career. Ruin Punk's life tonight.
00:18:10Now Punk looks like he wants to do the same to McIntyre. And look at trying to drive McIntyre
00:18:15his eye into the leg of the table. McIntyre trying to somehow block and does.
00:18:24Hey listen Punk said despite the best efforts of my family to stop me from going into this
00:18:30matchup because I can't afford a Hell in a Cell match at this point in my career.
00:18:34But if this means the end of my career so be it because I have to end Drew McIntyre.
00:18:40That just speaks volumes to how deep under the skin of CM Punk McIntyre has managed to get.
00:18:46Now Punk with McIntyre up on his shoulders. If you're thinking about going to sleep McIntyre wisely
00:18:51grasping the cell. Excellence in the world talking about Hell in a Cell as we kick off the night
00:18:57tonight inside this structure with McIntyre and Punk. Claymore by McIntyre driving Punk to the floor.
00:19:13This is going to be one of those nights. If nothing else with this Claymore Drew McIntyre
00:19:19has bought himself some extremely valuable time to recover to regain his bearings and to figure out
00:19:25new ways to torture his opponent.
00:19:29A CM Punk chance bringing to the State Farm here in Atlanta.
00:19:35Sold out over nearly 17,000 on hand here tonight.
00:19:44Now McIntyre again looking to use his power and now with Punk up McIntyre.
00:19:50CM Punk into the steel. Face first. Ramrodding Punk into the cell. You know Corey we've talked
00:19:59about McIntyre a lot he's Terminator like. The way that he's built and now look at the power
00:20:06from McIntyre to Punk. We called him a Scottish warrior we called him a Terminator but I believe
00:20:11the term psychopath is most apropos tonight. Hey you and I both had the opportunity to talk to Drew
00:20:17earlier today. He had that deep far away look at his eyes like I don't even know what he was
00:20:22talking about. Well right now Drew McIntyre is loving what he's seeing. CM Punk has begun to
00:20:29bleed after meeting the steel face first. And it is what McIntyre promised. Tonight these hallowed
00:20:36grounds may very well run red. This could finish it off. The head of CM Punk.
00:20:50The State Farm Arena which sits on the site of the legendary Omni in downtown Atlanta that has
00:20:57seen some of the great battles some of the most vicious battles in the history of wrestling.
00:21:03And tonight another chapter added McIntyre Punk in a cell. Oh my goodness!
00:21:17Hatred.
00:21:20Disdain. Disgust. I'm gonna answer Caridia. Your wife is gonna leave you. No!
00:21:29McIntyre reiterating the deeply insulting comments he made on Monday Night Raw about Punk's wife.
00:21:42McIntyre wants to prove to the WWE Universe that he is a man of his word that the Scottish
00:21:46Warrior will be the one responsible for ending Punk once and for all. And now back to the toolbox.
00:21:51Oh my gosh! He's crushing the wrench I believe it is right into the open wound of CM Punk. And
00:21:57Punk writhing and screaming in pain. Now look at the sick look on McIntyre's face.
00:22:03Sadistic. Remorseless. It's only driving and fueling McIntyre.
00:22:14Punk a crimson mask has fallen over his face. The best time to see red as a superstar is when
00:22:24it's coming from your opponent. And now McIntyre ripping out yet another table
00:22:31in a match that thus far has been very one-sided.
00:22:36CM Punk desperately. I'm not even sure Punk knows where he's at Corey. I gotta agree with you. Sean
00:22:43Bennett's in there keeping an eye on the situation. Checking on Punk. Making sure Punk can continue.
00:22:50Listen to your point. I know CM Punk extremely well. You're gonna have to stop this match to
00:22:55protect Punk from himself because Punk will not quit. And think about this Corey. You throw out
00:22:59the Royal Rumble right? This is CM Punk's third match. Drew McIntyre wrestles every single week
00:23:07almost. And now Punk's locked inside a cage against a man who's a psycho. He's an absolute
00:23:13psychopath. McIntyre who's in the best shape of his career and now he just wants to do harm. That's
00:23:18all he wants to do here. Well listen Cole. You and I are both guilty of leaning into the romance
00:23:22of this industry. It's amazing to have CM Punk back in WWE in 2024 inside Hell in a Cell. But
00:23:29let's look at the reality of the situation. Punk has not been competing at this level for quite
00:23:33some time. Particularly not against someone as dangerous as Drew McIntyre. Punk might be outgunned
00:23:39tonight. And you notice the black armband on the left bicep of McIntyre. He told us he was wearing
00:23:45that tonight because this was Punk's funeral. He was wearing black out of quote respect for CM Punk.
00:23:54McIntyre also wanted to offer his apologies in advance for what he does
00:23:59with a straight edge superstar. Now Punk though looking to rally. Drives back into the corner.
00:24:04There's that patented running knee. The patented high knee from Punk. But Punk can't capitalize.
00:24:08That might have been it Cole. That might have been a last gasp from Punk.
00:24:12CM Punk needs to tap into those energy reserves if they exist anymore.
00:24:19Oh and now Punk in trouble trying to hang on.
00:24:28And now Punk climbing up to the top rope. Punk takes down McIntyre.
00:24:34You can see Punk blinking his eyes opening them wide as the blood begins to run through. I don't
00:24:44know Cole if you've had blood in your eyes you can't see a damn thing. And if you can't see
00:24:48you can't fight. I can only imagine the pain as Punk now with a that's he has a wrench in his hand
00:24:59as he climbs up to the top rope. Punk going to use it as a weapon. McIntyre was able to
00:25:05intersect and send Punk across the ring with a suplex.
00:25:12Look at the look on the face of McIntyre. And a kip up to rub it in the face of CM Punk.
00:25:33Who Corey for much of the last 10 minutes or so has looked absolutely helpless and defenseless.
00:25:40And now McIntyre looks for the kill shot and Punk wisely wisely rolled out of the ring.
00:25:47That was brilliant that is veteran ring awareness from CM Punk.
00:25:54Punk is physically maimed, exhausted, beaten. Oh and a toolbox to the face of McIntyre
00:26:04and suddenly Punk's got a chance. If nothing else Punk has some time to compose himself to
00:26:11try to get his sight back to 100 percent. Watch this. Bang right off the face.
00:26:20And now McIntyre's been cut open and now it's McIntyre who's bleeding and tasting his own
00:26:26blood. And now CM Punk into the ring toolbox in hand using it as a weapon and unloading
00:26:33on McIntyre. We're gonna have to break out the Muda scale pretty soon as Punk makes the climb
00:26:39to the top turnbuckle toolbox in hand. McIntyre can't see try to wipe the blood and again
00:26:45he's taken down. Blinded, battered, brutalized. Blinded by blood, blinded by rage,
00:26:55blinded by hate. These two men destroying each other inside the cell.
00:27:08And there's a ready knee by Punk again. A little bit more on that one this time.
00:27:12And now the momentum beginning to build by Punk and there's a third to McIntyre
00:27:16and now it's McIntyre who's in trouble.
00:27:17And off the bulldog Drew McIntyre's on dream streak. And I don't know where Punk is getting
00:27:31it but he's summoning the energy, summoning the will to turn the tides inside the cell.
00:27:40And now Punk calling for the end.
00:27:44McIntyre struggling somehow to get to his feet.
00:27:48Grabbing the ropes. Punk now setting up for the go to sleep. The GTS. McIntyre fighting out however.
00:27:59Counters for counters and back up again goes through. GTS! Go to sleep! McIntyre's down but
00:28:06he rolls out of the ring. And I don't know if that was where with all of us but I think it was
00:28:13with all our instinct from McIntyre. But Punk realizes that may have been his best shot to end
00:28:19this. Take another look. Punk hoisting up the massive McIntyre. Knee directly on the temple.
00:28:31Drew may have been out but McIntyre able to roll under the bottom rope and this one rolls on. This
00:28:38is absolutely incredible. And seeing Punk. I don't know if you saw moments ago Corey. Punk was laughing.
00:28:43Punk was laughing at the destruction that's happening here just feet away from us.
00:28:54Punk now. McIntyre. Claymore from out of nowhere. McIntyre for the win. Punk to the leg. Punk is still in it.
00:29:09This is unreal. McIntyre instinctively now with a Claymore. Coming within an eyelash of victory. But see and Punk survives.
00:29:28What an incredible match Corey. And I don't even know if we should call it a match. I mean this is a fight. This is a brawl.
00:29:36However you describe it. It is quickly becoming unforgettable. And McIntyre looking to end it.
00:29:44And McIntyre once again with Punk in trouble. McIntyre looking for another Claymore. Punk able to move out of harm's way.
00:29:52And now Punk gonna turn things around. Punk gonna look for a submission hold here. Does Punk have it in him to finish it?
00:29:58And we saw this in Fashion Berlin. Going for a sharpshooter I believe here. And he's got it in.
00:30:04And remember McIntyre tapped. He tapped in Berlin. He tapped out to this in Berlin.
00:30:09If you ask McIntyre threw out smart at Punk in Berlin. But right now center of the ring inside the cell. McIntyre is counting down the seconds before he submits.
00:30:20Remember ropes will not break. And now using a wrench and pounding away with a wrench to Punk. And Punk forced to break the hold.
00:30:34You know there are medical staff here at ringside Corey. They can do nothing to stop this. All they can do is look on.
00:30:40As McIntyre continues to barbarically brutalize Punk. McIntyre trying to carve up CM Punk's face like a jack-o-lantern.
00:30:50It is hell on earth inside hell in a cell for both Drew McIntyre and CM Punk.
00:31:04Listen this is an understandable decision by Sean Bennett just trying to wipe the blood out of the eyes of the superstars so that they can continue.
00:31:12So that they can do their best to protect themselves from potential catastrophe.

01:01:05now here's the situation naya's down bailey's got to move naya into the ring in order to win the title
