00:00Five gates inside the box. Lawrence hanging off the back of the bike. Can he get there first? No he can't.
00:07It's the bridge and there's a bit of arm hanging in there and it's gonna be the 48 around the outside and that is Fabio Priscito Dos Santos.
00:17Jet working some magic there. He did not get a clean exit but he went in outside then inside to move up here.
00:24That was beautiful by Jet but interesting he didn't quite get the jump that he's normally getting. I want to clean that up for some day.
00:30Well Brazil they needed a big start. They've got one at the moment haven't they?
00:37But already find his way through. The Spaniard Ruben Fernandez.
00:42Lawrence there in third place. Fourth for Renault. Fifth the Italian Bonacorsi.
00:48Then Koldenoff, Tondale, Pantzer, Plessinger in ninth, Mews 10, then Jago here to Belgium.
00:54And there's a sneaky little rivalry here between Jet and Maxime Renault. For a while Maxime Renault was the only rider who had bested Jet Lawrence on a 450.
01:02And I think Maxime was kind of speaking to that. He was letting people know that was the case.
01:07And I don't think Jet loved the comment even though he had to respect it.
01:10So if these two kind of stay together I think there could be a battle that unfolds there that not many people would be expecting.
01:17Jet Lawrence getting by Fabio De Santos in at the top end of the circuit or trying to at least.
01:23Knows he doesn't need to rush anything on this opening lap but just up on the pegs sits down at the last minute.
01:28But look how quick he just gets into that next turn.
01:30Yeah Jet is incredibly patient. That's one of his strong suits amongst I don't know an ocean of strong suits.
01:36But he doesn't really rush it on the first lap. So his MO really is to kind of suss the track out a bit.
01:42Find his flow and then once he starts really leaning into it that's when he starts dropping his lap time.
01:47So it really bodes well for him to be up front this early. He can try to kind of figure Fernandes out.
01:52And he's going to be looking for lines here which is what he always does.
01:56And once he pieces the track together that's when you're going to see the lap times drop and he will be out of here.
02:01Fernandes leads Jet Lawrence, De Santos, Renault, Bonacorsi, Koldenoff in, Mu6, Tonedale 7, Plessinger 8, Pensa 9 and here it's 10.
02:11Dylan Wright of Canada. He is in 11th, 12th place.
02:15Senkio, Alberto, Kulas, Nagel for Germany.
02:18Kratzer, Okura, Teresak and Rossland just looking down the order.
02:22Natsuki for New Zealand in 30th place.
02:25The Kiwis do not need that. They are going to the B-final if he can't get himself up the leaderboard.
02:30Because three riders, Estonia on 32, New Zealand and Japan on 32.
02:36They are 20, 21 and 22 in the leaderboard or the B-final leaderboard.
02:41If you like. They need 29 points to get the better of South Africa.
02:51And I would expect to see Jet be really careful here.
02:53They're in a great position.
02:54I don't think he feels an imminent threat really from Fernandes running away from him or anything.
02:58So patience is a virtue.
03:00He doesn't have any pressure from behind him.
03:02You wonder if Renault or Koldenoff could mount a charge.
03:05But this is going exactly how Jet would want it to.
03:12And Renault up the inside to move into third place.
03:15Finding its way past Dos Santos.
03:19As Jet Lawrence trying to find his way.
03:21Look how low the sun is now as they come this way.
03:24You see the long shadows.
03:25Trying to make a move there. Don't need to rush anything here.
03:28And you just, they can't see the bottom of the rut, right?
03:30So it could be 6 inches or it could be 12 inches.
03:33And they wouldn't really know the difference.
03:34But their bike's going to be moving around unexpectedly.
03:37And that's, that's a trouble spot.
03:38Things that you would normally be ready for are going to catch you out.
03:41Because simply you can't see it coming.
03:44We've seen good speed in his, since his return for Ruben Fernandes.
03:48Notably in, I think it was China.
03:51Maybe even in Turkey.
03:52When he was doing his bit for his wingman Tim Geiser.
03:57And he's doing it again here for Team Spain.
03:59He put the flag out now.
04:00Spain are on pole position.
04:02With two points.
04:03France on four.
04:05Australia on six.
04:06They will get the third gate pick.
04:07Then Germany with nine.
04:10The Netherlands on ten.
04:11Great Britain will go to the line in sixth.
04:13Ahead of Slovenia, Italy, Belgium, the USA on ten.
04:18And they will go to the gate in tenth place at the moment.
04:21Because Plessinger is in eighth place.
04:23He's just found his way past Cornelius Dondell.
04:26Of Norway.
04:28And extremely tight there.
04:30If AP could move up a few spots, he could jump up three, four, five spots really quickly.
04:34Yeah, very, very tight.
04:36In those, what, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen.
04:38Thirteen and fourteen.
04:40They are the points from fourth Germany to the USA in tenth.
04:48You heard the comments from Hunter Lawrence there in our intermission session from the paddock.
04:53This is not a track that these riders face very well.
04:55So, you know, Jet Lawrence, I truly believe he might be the best rider on the planet.
05:00Especially if you look at all disciplines.
05:02But it's not like he's pushing the limit here or doing anything fantastic.
05:06But the track simply won't let you.
05:07You can, you cannot push the pace here or the track will bite you.
05:11So, I think simply putting the track together smoothly is the key.
05:15Koldenhoff and Mews.
05:20Mews going around to the outside of the Dutchman.
05:22Konrad Mews up into sixth place.
05:25Loves riding at home.
05:26Does the bridge.
05:27Mews might be the least known fastest rider on the planet.
05:30And I say that especially on English soil.
05:32Because most, you know, most people stay inside.
05:35They wouldn't know much about Konrad Mews.
05:36But you find him at a British Championship race or somewhere he feels very comfortable.
05:40He will absolutely wow you.
05:41Ask Geoffrey Hurlings if Konrad Mews can ride quickly or not.
05:44He gave him everything he wanted this year in the British Championships.
05:48So, Jet Lawrence setting the fastest lap last time around with a 2.067 compared to the 2.071 of Fernandez.
05:54The Australian has got the Spaniard right in his line of sight again.
05:57He spent the last couple of laps and as quick as that.
05:59He nips up the inside.
06:01Finds his way into the lead.
06:02He played the patient game.
06:03But doesn't want to hang around anymore.
06:05He's done eating roost sandwiches.
06:08And Jet Lawrence will cross the line at the end of lap two.
06:10As the new leader for Team Australia.
06:13And that will give them another point.
06:15In fact, they'll only leave this race with a point.
06:17A bit short there on the landing for Fernandez though.
06:20And you talk about the mutual respect.
06:22Like these guys really haven't seen Jet race in a long time.
06:24Like they saw him at Motocross Nations last year.
06:26But they see all the success.
06:28Even Jeffrey Hurling's got a Jet Lawrence jersey for his collection this weekend.
06:31But these guys truly respect each other.
06:33And the levels that they have in their respective series.
06:35So Fernandez is probably like.
06:37Oh, there's Jet.
06:38And you know these guys know each other from afar all too well.
06:41Fabio De Santos, the Brazilian.
06:43He's still there in fourth place.
06:45He's got the Italian number nine.
06:46Andrea Bonacossi behind him.
06:48And then coming in.
06:49Lurking large in the background.
06:51Number 30 Conrad Mews for Team Great Britain.
06:54He's in six.
06:55Having found his way past Koldnoff.
06:57On that part of the racetrack a lap ago.
06:59And he's really riding with a lot of heart and desire.
07:02Here's Conrad Mews.
07:04In this RAM qualifying race.
07:06He's a little bit offline there.
07:07But he keeps it on track just about.
07:10Unlike Vielle.
07:10Yeah, that was exactly.
07:12Yeah, much cleaner.
07:13But a similar dynamic.
07:14Kind of crossed back the wrong way there.
07:18I like the way Mews looks here.
07:20This is a guy that.
07:21Honestly, most of the time.
07:22He's his own worst enemy.
07:23Mentally, he just cannot harness his best stuff.
07:26To bring his A-game.
07:27And if he can.
07:29It bodes well for Team GB.
07:30Fabio De Santos in yellow for Brazil.
07:32On the 48.
07:33He is helping Brazil at the moment.
07:35To qualify in 12th place on 20 points.
07:38Because they can get rid of the 22.
07:40From their first rider.
07:42Earlier on in the day.
07:44Bonacossi with shades of Ken Dedeiker here.
07:47Just a huge body type.
07:48Running number nine.
07:49Running around out there.
07:50Different color motorcycle, of course.
07:52But that's what it reminds me of.
07:55There's Mews.
07:55Looking to find his way.
07:56Past the number nine.
07:58The Italian on that Yamaha.
08:00These two are going to be fighting.
08:01Well, these three are going to be fighting.
08:03Over fourth position at the moment.
08:04Good job, this.
08:05From Fabio De Santos.
08:08Bonacossi, though.
08:09Itching to find his way past.
08:10He knows he's being closed down.
08:11There is Bonacossi's teammate.
08:13Albi Ferrata on the 3.
08:143 normally.
08:16But riding number seven this weekend.
08:18For Team Italy.
08:20Mews just losing ground a little bit.
08:21To these two.
08:23Towards the end of that lap.
08:24Bonacossi, impatient again.
08:25Goes chasing the dirt around the outside.
08:27Not once, but twice.
08:31That's a breakout performance for De Santos here.
08:33Absolutely, it is.
08:38Now, you know the names of Enzo Lopes, right?
08:41Racing Monster Energy Supercross.
08:43Member of, well, he's heard all year.
08:44But would have been a member of Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing.
08:48But De Santos is not a household name.
08:50To be running around in front of the likes of the riders he's beating.
08:54That's a really nice performance from him.
08:57Yeah, he's done a few nations as De Santos.
09:01And obviously from his side, you know, like anything just to get the home nation.
09:05His home nation into the main event.
09:08And he's obviously doing that at the moment.
09:11He's got a couple of tasty riders behind him.
09:14De Santos with his seventh appearance.
09:17Didn't qualify on the first four in 2015, 17, 18 and 19.
09:21But Brazil did qualify in Redbird in 2018.
09:24They got 16th there and 16th in France a year ago.
09:28So from that side of things,
09:31he's used to sort of, you know, helping his team
09:36out of a tricky situation, if you like.
09:40Lawrence, two and a half seconds clear at the head of the field.
09:43Fernandez, second for Spain.
09:45Renault, third.
09:46Ride of the day so far, though, has to be Fabio De Santos.
09:50The rider for Brazil.
09:51He's still hanging on to fourth place.
09:53Even if Bonacorsi and Mews go by.
09:56He's only going to lose a couple of points.
09:57That'll drop him down to 24, the same as Denmark.
10:02And Mews getting around the outside of Bonacorsi.
10:04He knows he's there.
10:05Three riders, three different routes.
10:07And Bonacorsi, the beneficiary, he moves by.
10:10He moves up into fourth place.
10:13And Mews goes through into fifth as well.
10:15Yeah, it's funny.
10:16You saw Mews push forward and it changed the entire dynamic.
10:19Bonacorsi couldn't make a move, couldn't make a move.
10:22Mews comes up and pushes one time.
10:24Gets in there and boom, both of them go by immediately.
10:26And it's just funny, the mental aspects.
10:28It's like the dam broke for De Santos and they immediately go by.
10:32Aaron Plessinger, he's two and a half seconds behind De Santos.
10:35So the US could do with a point there in seventh at the moment.
10:39And Mews looking to find his way past Bonacorsi.
10:42The British fans on their feet all around this racetrack
10:46for their home rider at this Home Nations.
10:50Mews on the Honda, number 30, just getting a little bit of traction there.
10:57Nicely on the gas early.
10:59And you see him crisscrossing, right?
11:01All he's trying to do is stay out of that roost of Bonacorsi in front of him.
11:04He goes from inside to outside.
11:05Wherever Bonacorsi is not, that's where you'll find Mews.
11:08But also trying to open up the racetrack, just trying to find a way.
11:12Rule number one is obviously to find a way past the rider ahead.
11:15You're not going to do that if you're wheel to wheel the whole time.
11:18Looking for the momentum, looking for anything.
11:20Because he can go wide, there can be a little mistake here and there
11:23from the rider ahead of him.
11:24That will give you a little bit more drive and traction maybe
11:26just to execute the pass.
11:27But doesn't look like he's playing the patient waiting game, does it?
11:31No, he's up in fifth, you know, to be fourth.
11:34I don't know that he's going to make up 11 seconds up to Renault.
11:37But this would at least give him a clear racetrack.
11:39And also, he probably sees Plessinger lingering back there as well.
11:43So he's going to want to clear himself of that.
11:44And actually, they're tied on points with Germany at the moment.
11:47Germany on nine, GV on nine.
11:50Which race do you throw?
11:51And how do you finalize the, well, they've given ten points to start with,
11:57so they'll just leapfrog anyway.
11:58They'll move up to fourth place.
12:02And he goes around the outside of Bonacorsi, top of the racetrack.
12:06And he carves his way past the Italian.
12:08He moves up into fourth place.
12:11And just looking at the overall score, you know,
12:13this is such an interesting format.
12:15And for Spain, right, they're going to come out of this,
12:17they have a great chance at qualifying first on Saturday.
12:20The question will be, just as it was last year,
12:23can Aurelio Oliver deliver on Sunday?
12:26Ruben Fernandez had a horrible Sunday a year ago.
12:28But you see the form he's capable of.
12:31That third rider, that fifth score is what will really come down to.
12:34Plessinger has found his way past the 48.
12:38He moves up into sixth. He's going after Bonacorsi.
12:40Koldenoff finds his way past the Brazilian now.
12:43They've got room in their pocket, though, have the Brazilians.
12:45They should qualify with this performance from Fabio De Santos.
12:51Just behind De Santos, you've got Cornelius Tondell of Norway.
12:54He's about to hit the line any moment now.
12:56In ninth place for the Norwegians,
12:58they are looking at eleventh place, as it stands right now,
13:03in the qualifying, when you drop your worst result.
13:06And for Norway, that will be their MX2 rider.
13:15I think it's really important here for the mental game,
13:18for AP to stay in front of Koldenoff, you know.
13:21In the end, will it really change a whole lot?
13:23Probably not, you know, as far as on paper,
13:26what is the actual effect.
13:27But I just think for confidence and for AP going in and say,
13:30yeah, okay, well, another one's supposed to be in this thing.
13:32When I was able to hold him off for 25 minutes, no problem.
13:35Like, these little things, you're trying to build confidence,
13:37and it's the last thoughts you have going to sleep on Saturday night
13:41before you wake up on Sunday is, are you confident?
13:43Do you feel like you can truly go out and do it?
13:46You know, a rider like Kubo Wett, for example, in the MX2,
13:49like, he's going to have to ask himself some hard questions.
13:51Can I find speed? Can I find two seconds a lap going into Sunday?
13:55Those little things, AP still has a chance to answer here.
13:58Just looking at the ever-changing conditions,
14:01the sun getting lower and lower as we reach, what,
14:044.44 local time here in the UK.
14:09This race will fall at a similar time, the final race tomorrow.
14:12And if we have bright conditions like this,
14:16these are the kind of conditions the riders are going to be facing.
14:18So, from that side, rain or no rain,
14:22you want cloud cover at this time of the day
14:24just to give you all-round perfect visibility.
14:27Yeah, and, you know, part of it, this track got so much moisture a week ago
14:31that there's not much margin.
14:32If we get rain, it's immediately going to get softer and softer and softer.
14:36So, it's going to be a very, very tricky Sunday.
14:39And I think the conditions are going to change several times throughout the three races.
14:43Federica Cezzi there, the mechanic of Ruben Fernandez.
14:47I think she's the only female mechanic in the paddock.
14:51And she's there, right at the high end, 14 HRC.
14:54She's worked her way through the ranks.
14:55And Fernandez there in second position.
14:58And look, she does turn a few heads when you don't see that,
15:02and, you know, for the first time you see it, you think,
15:03did she just ride the bike down to the weight?
15:05No, she throws manners, she does everything.
15:08If you gave me ten chances, I wouldn't be able to pronounce the name you said.
15:11So, she's doing a fantastic...
15:13I did not even know that he had a female mechanic.
15:14I thought that was a great step forward.
15:16And, I mean, she has to be enjoying this right there.
15:18They're running a pretty uncontested second place so far.
15:21And, honestly, kept Jeff right in their sights.
15:23Yeah. Yeah, she was at SM Action Yamaha for a few years
15:26when Ruben was in EMX 250 as well.
15:29And then, obviously, not sure at what point she ended up at HRC,
15:32whether they went at the same time.
15:33But she's been there for a few years now.
15:36And when Ruben was injured,
15:38she was even working very, very closely with Tim Geisser as well.
15:41So, yeah, great to see that.
15:44Yeah. No, it's...
15:45That's the whole thing, is changing what people think is possible.
15:48Right.
15:48The expectation and...
15:50Yeah.
15:51It's a great first for her.
15:53Dylan Wright is 13th for Canada.
15:56Harry Kules of Estonia is in 14th.
15:59Gio of Switzerland is in 15th.
16:00Teresak is next, 16th.
16:02And Kratsov, Kurov, Vidsant and Perdon.
16:05Natsuki, up to 25th place.
16:08New Zealand on 32.
16:10One point behind Estonia as it stands right now.
16:14And Harry Kules is in 14th.
16:16He's a second behind Dylan Wright.
16:18He's about a second ahead of Valentin Gio.
16:21And Josiah Natsuki, though,
16:22is nearly three seconds behind Jason Mirra of Ireland.
16:25Ireland are going to the B-Final on 44 points as it stands right now.
16:29They will not be using or utilising this score,
16:32which is the same as Cole McCullough,
16:34who is 24th in the MX2 category.
16:36So, again, some nervy moments for some of the B-Final regulars.
16:45Coming into land.
16:47AP, Aaron Plessinger, going after his court,
16:50Andrea Bonacorzi.
16:51And actually, Plessinger looks a lot more relaxed this time around,
16:54more so than he did in Erne.
16:56I don't know if that's because it's his second Nations in Europe.
16:59Older and wiser knows exactly what to expect.
17:01He said at the press conference he feels fresher than he did this time a year ago,
17:04having done for the first time 31 races in a season.
17:07But at the same time, different kind of dirt.
17:10Erne, like Saint-Jean, a lot more rocky.
17:12Yeah, and it's lack of traction, too.
17:14It's so slippery.
17:15So many off-cambers.
17:17We saw riders crashing last year out of nowhere.
17:20RJ Hampshire on the first lap.
17:21That's, I think, what really caught him out,
17:23is just trying to figure out how to ride this racetrack.
17:26Not only, you know, to your best ability,
17:28but also against riders who know their track well,
17:30some of the best riders in the world.
17:31So, it's a really tough ask.
17:33But I think, if you had to choose between the two,
17:36they would prefer these ruddy, tricky conditions
17:39versus the low-traction environment we had a year ago.
17:41Well, you put the flag out now.
17:42USA qualifying 8th place on 13 points,
17:45with 7th from their first and 6th from this last race.
17:49Little bit of back-market issue there.
17:51That's the normal Saturday environment here, right?
17:55A rider like that wouldn't be in the A-final tomorrow.
17:58But, yeah, heads-up move by if he probably thought
18:01he would be gone by the time he got here.
18:02The rider was trying to get out of the way, to be fair.
18:04It's just, yeah, that's what happens.
18:09So, he's got his eyes set on Bonacorsi.
18:11If he can find his way into 5th,
18:13that'll give him 5 points as opposed to 6.
18:16That will give them 12 points, I guess.
18:25But it won't change their position, will it?
18:26They'll still go to the line 8, as it stands right now.
18:30Yeah, and I would expect all three of these guys
18:32to push to the end.
18:33AP's going to try to get around Koldenov.
18:34But Koldenov was going to close some time there,
18:36going up the inside.
18:37So, it'll be interesting to see how that three-way battle plays
18:40out the last few laps.
18:43Close.
18:46Too close to call.
18:47You see that pull-up and awkward movement from Ronell.
18:50That's an uncomfortable moment for Ronell.
18:54When you can see the circuit just getting closer,
18:56the part of the circuit that shouldn't be getting closer.
18:58Yeah, and when you see a rider of this guy's caliber,
19:00former MX2 World Champion, look like a novice in the air,
19:03that's because he's doing everything possible
19:05to get the motorcycle back to the right.
19:09Conrad Muise, 4th place.
19:12Doesn't need to keep on pushing.
19:14He's 13 seconds behind Maxim Reneau.
19:18He's 5 seconds clear of Andrea Bonacorsi.
19:20Good stellar ride for Conrad Muise, Great Britain.
19:25And they will be good enough for 4th gate pick on 8 points.
19:30So, the MXGP race, 15th of Tommy Searle in race 1,
19:34will be ditched in favor of a 4th from Max Ensti
19:37and a 4th here from Conrad Muise to give them their 8 points.
19:41I think Muise has to be happy with this 4th place.
19:43Well, it's kind of settles the nerves, doesn't it,
19:46when you get a race result like this.
19:49It's more, and I believe it's confirmation.
19:52You know, like, OK, I can do this, no problem,
19:54need to get the start, but the riding part of this equation
19:57I have figured out.
20:01Just very patient.
20:03Look at the ruts there, look at the shadowing,
20:05look at everything else, you know, the bumps.
20:07It is so technical, so tricky, challenging,
20:10low visibility because of the setting sun.
20:14This is good situational preparation for them tomorrow, right?
20:19They're going to be racing in this same environment,
20:22assuming the sun is out, that may be wishful thinking,
20:25but this will help them for tomorrow be more prepared.
20:27Can they think about running a different goggle lens?
20:29Are there things that they can do to help them in these,
20:32you know, see all those shadows, that transitional area?
20:35Yellows on one of the downhills there,
20:37probably in the right-hander at the bottom of the hill,
20:39the valley, looks like that's been cleared.
20:41But just saw the 18 of Gio there, I think it was.
20:48Here's Koldenhoff.
20:50Made the pass on AP.
20:53So that came out of nowhere.
20:54Koldenhoff was closing, wasn't he?
20:56But you saw AP go outside there.
20:59That was a problem.
21:00I don't think he meant to go out there.
21:01I knew Koldenhoff would close.
21:02I didn't think he would already have made the move.
21:04You see Koldenhoff made up with a double there.
21:06Yeah, he pulled up short, and then all of a sudden
21:08Plessinger just gains that ground again.
21:10So Koldenhoff now up in 2-6.
21:13Doesn't jump again.
21:14Something's going on with Koldenhoff.
21:15Yeah, so what's the issue there with De Hoff?
21:18See if he doesn't jump this.
21:19Yeah, he's not going to jump.
21:20Something's up here.
21:21He's got some sort of mechanical something is happening.
21:24Has he got a flat tire, maybe?
21:26Flat tire, maybe, on the rear.
21:27Would he not be running a boost, though?
21:29Normally, he would.
21:30I would imagine.
21:31Is he going to jump the finish line, jump even behind AP?
21:33We don't know.
21:34Because we followed AP over the finish line.
21:37Koldenhoff.
21:38He goes down to 7th position, then.
21:40And he's in cruise mode.
21:42He's just got two laps to go.
21:43Can he ride around, whatever issue it is?
21:45Something's going on.
21:46Broken wheel.
21:47No, it's not a tire.
21:48Something's happening.
21:49No, back brake, maybe.
21:53He's trying to use it, but I don't think he's got a rear brake.
21:56I don't know.
21:57Let's see now.
21:58Yeah, you see him pumping it there.
21:59I saw him stab it several times.
22:01Yeah, that's a rear brake.
22:03So it's either a broken line, maybe a rock,
22:05or a collision with another rider.
22:06Could have released it as well, too.
22:08Boil that fluid a bit.
22:09Yeah.
22:10Which a lot of times, if you boil the fluid,
22:12the rear brake will go away.
22:13And you try to pump it several times to bring it back.
22:16But in any case, he's just going to bring this thing home.
22:19They'll still qualify 6th.
22:21No big loss there.
22:23They weren't going to use the score anyway.
22:25That's the silver lining for the Netherlands.
22:29Yeah, because of their results in the first and second races
22:35So the Netherlands with 10 points at the moment,
22:395-5 with Geoffrey and Kai De Wolff.
22:43Geoffrey Hurlington, Kai De Wolff, of course.
22:45But almost 8 seconds clear.
22:47And Jet Lawrence looks like he's in cruise mode at the moment.
22:49He got there, created the gap.
22:51Fernandez kept him honest for a few laps.
22:54Kept the gap to a respectable 2 seconds or thereabouts.
22:58But either Jet's just been consistently in that 2.05,
23:02but Fernandez last time around was a 2.07.
23:04He's going to hit the finish line this time around with a 2.08.
23:09So that's where the situation has changed in favor of Jet Lawrence.
23:14Fernandez just backing it off,
23:16rather than Lawrence feeling like he's had to up his game
23:19in the second half of the race.
23:20It's going to be really interesting to see.
23:22And there will be many other people involved,
23:25but Jet Lawrence and Jorge Prado tomorrow,
23:27because their styles are very, very different.
23:29Have a yellow flag there.
23:30Yeah, was that Tondell just tipping over there?
23:32Either way, cold enough in that down to 11th place, 12th place,
23:35as Nagel goes through.
23:37So it is the final lap.
23:39These two guys' styles are very different.
23:42Prado's going to try to disappear at the front,
23:44and Jet likes to be really patient, right?
23:46Jet's a little bit like Iceman from Top Gun.
23:48Wears you down, gets you bored,
23:51you do something stupid and he's got you.
23:53Prado may be gone by the time Jet picks up the pace
23:56and starts to attack.
23:57So that's something he's going to have to be really mindful of.
23:59He's going to have to always be thinking, where's Prado?
24:01Is Prado pulling away? Is Prado pulling away?
24:03So two different styles, which one will win out?
24:05That's what we're here for.
24:06That's what makes the Motocross of Nations so great.
24:08We're going to find out.
24:09What makes those two riders so great, though,
24:11is that they probably don't think, where's Prado,
24:13where's Jet Lawrence?
24:14You know, like maybe everybody else does.
24:16I think they just are so focused on what they do
24:18and what they do well that if that means getting starts
24:22and getting hole shots and the rest taking care of itself,
24:24then that's how they live in their little bubble.
24:26And I just wonder, though, for Jet,
24:28he hasn't faced anybody with that sprint and gone capability
24:32that Prado has in quite a while.
24:34It's a different strategy.
24:35It's not something he's had to really contend with in the U.S.
24:38So maybe it's not a factor tomorrow,
24:40just something different for Jet to have to figure out.
24:43But Jet is the master of race craft and figuring things out.
24:47Well, we were watching Ruben Fernandez
24:49on the right-hand side for Spain
24:51as he continues to circulate 16 seconds clear of Maxime Renault.
24:55Uphill for the final time, Jet Lawrence.
24:57Team Australia, he is going to come away with the open-class win.
25:02It was a fourth in race one for Hunter Lawrence.
25:05It's a win in race three for Jet Lawrence.
25:08They come home with a five-point haul
25:11and third-place gate pick heading into the main races on Sunday
25:16at this Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations.
25:19Kanta in the end for Jet.
25:23Fernandez will cross the line second, six seconds further back.
25:25We wait for Renault to come through.
25:27He's about 16 seconds adrift of the Spaniard.
25:30But what a fantastic ride for Conrad Muise to come home in fourth.
25:38Good to see these two having a good old chat
25:41and having a bit of a laugh as well.
25:42Maybe talking about the light and saying
25:44maybe the last lap was the best one that they could see everything.
25:46You know they were talking about the track
25:47and how difficult it was somewhere in there as well.
25:50Deep ruts, technical.
25:51The light wasn't great.
25:53Maxim Renault third.
25:56And Bonacorsi crosses the line in fifth behind Conrad Muise.
25:59He'll be pleased with that.
26:00So too will Mark Chamberlain.
