00:00and welcome to the result show, football is mad according to Aberdeen captain Graeme Shinney,
00:17that's what he said yesterday anyway and we'll probably prove that over the next 50 minutes
00:21or so, but keeping us all sane between now and 20 past 5, Julie Fleeting and Cammie Bell,
00:26welcome folks and it's time to say good afternoon to our reporters around the grounds, three
00:30games afoot in the Premiership, but where to start that's the question, the answer is
00:35Dens Park, Dundee at home to Kilmarnock this afternoon, here's Jane Lewis.
00:39Thank you very much David, there's a bit of go mouth action there but the referee has
00:44just moved wave play on, I think there was a bit of calls for a penalty but nothing doing
00:48there according to the referee and it is safely back in the hands of Robbie McCrory, let me
00:52bring you up to date shall we, Dundee 1 Kilmarnock 0, Dundee though ahead but down to 10 men,
00:58let's talk about the goal first of all before we come to that red card, it was a great ball
01:02from Lyle Cameron, lovely finish from Zayed Larketch, shot in off the post, Dundee actually
01:08deserved that lead because they'd seen a lot of the ball, they were always looking to get
01:11forward and they were playing some pretty decent stuff, although Kilmarnock did grow
01:14into that half, it's fair to say Kyle Fussell was starting to cause one or two problems
01:18although no real threat, then came that contentious moment in the game, minutes before half time
01:24Mosula had already been given a yellow card and he was shown another one as I say just
01:30before half time and was sent off, there was a coming together between himself and Matt
01:34Kennedy, the Dundee man looked completely bemused as he was shown the red card and as
01:40he was walking off the pitch as well, we've seen some replays of the incident and it does
01:44seem that his elbows seem to catch Matt Kennedy in the face, although Matt Kennedy was also
01:49coming towards the player as well, so that probably needs some further examination, as
01:52I say, things that are looking good for Dundee but they do have that man at disadvantage
01:58if you like, Killey hoping to take advantage of having the extra man but so far they're
02:02just not doing that, it's 1-0 to Dundee here.
02:05Things looking at Easter Road this afternoon, Hibernian at home to Motherwell, let's welcome
02:10Brian.
02:11Good afternoon David, it's Hibernian 1, Motherwell 1 the home side, certainly with the better
02:15of the opportunities in the first half, most of those falling to Mikhail Kukarevich, the
02:20Hibernian striker, but he found John Oxburgh, Aston Oxburgh sorry, in the Motherwell goal
02:25on tip top form, the game though bursting into life in the second period when Motherwell
02:30took the lead, a very clever free kick by Lennon Miller into the path of Stampetolos,
02:35the Australian international and he rifled the ball into the roof of the net, that woke
02:40up the home side though and three minutes later they were back in level terms, mistake
02:45by Stephen O'Donnell, the Motherwell defender, allowed his pocket to be picked by Junior
02:49Hoylet, he came through and goal and a right foot curler beyond the Motherwell goalkeeper
02:55and into the bottom corner, Moses Oboye thought he'd given Motherwell the lead for the second
02:59time in the afternoon, only for the flag to be raised for offside, around 20 minutes left
03:03of play here at Easter Road, it's Hibernian 1, Motherwell 1.
03:07And the third of a trio of Premiership matches is in Paisley this afternoon, some men against
03:11the United, Kerdyn.
03:1475 minutes on the clock here, this one has just burst into action because Dundee United
03:21have taken the lead, Emmanuel Adegboyega with a point-blank header after a wonderful save
03:28from Saints keeper Ellery Balcombe.
03:31The shots came in from Docherty, it looked like it was going to be a goal, brilliant
03:35save from the keeper, but there was Adegboyega to nod in the rebound and make up for the
03:39absolute sitter he missed in the first half, showing why at that stage he was a defender
03:45and not a striker, could have given United a first-half lead but his air swipe meant
03:51that that was never going to happen, however this has now turned around in Dundee United's
03:55favour, it could have been the other way around, though there was a brilliant save from the
04:00Dundee United goalkeeper, James Walton, absolutely fabulous stop from a Caelan Boyd-Muntz pile
04:07driver that was arrowing towards the top left-hand corner, but for Walton's wonderful dive that
04:13kept it at nil-nil, and United now have probably got the goal that their second-half pressure
04:19deserved.
04:20They've been excellent on their travels have United so far this season, unbeaten, and at
04:24the moment they're heading for all three points here at St Mirren.
04:29Thanks Kenny, we'll just start there, Cammy you and I were speaking off camera before
04:33proceedings got underway and you said it'll be a set-piece probably, and that's where
04:38it came from.
04:39It was yeah, it probably wasn't the set-piece I was expecting, it was a strike from Docherty
04:43at the edge of the box, it was a brilliant strike, but again it was probably straight
04:47down the throat of the goalkeeper, he parries it out in an area that allows the United player
04:52to get the finish.
04:53Do you think he could have done better?
04:54Yeah no I think the goalkeeper will be disappointed with it when he sees it, but yeah we'll wait
04:58and see.
04:59Jules?
05:00Yeah I think it does come through bodies to be fair to the goalkeeper, but I think if
05:04you're going to get anything on it, you have to try and push it anywhere else apart from
05:09straight back into the path of the oncoming player, so I'm sure he'll be disappointed.
05:14It was a fierce strike from the edge of the box, but I think from a goalkeeping point
05:18of view he certainly will be disappointed.
05:21From a United point of view they'll be absolutely over the moon because the game, I mean it's
05:26not exactly been the most exciting of games.
05:30Well Kerradine said it had just come to life and then he was getting quite excited and
05:33telling the story of the match.
05:35Well maybe it's going to go from strength to strength, now maybe all it needed was a
05:38wee goal, but certainly it's not been capturing our attention up until this point.
05:42It's been quite a physical game and Walton's had a good save to be fair as Kerradine said
05:47in his report, but again it's been a scrappy physical battle, but United will be delighted
05:52they're ahead and they'll be trying to hang on to that.
05:54He was moaning about it, I was on our website and he was saying, remember that Dee Ream
05:58song, things can only get better, well I suppose it has got better from the Dundee United point
06:03of view.
06:04Dundee, they're arch rivals, they're a goal up Julie, but they're a man down.
06:09They are, they started the game extremely well, they were creating opportunities, they
06:15got their goal from it.
06:16I think it actually comes from a mistake from Dees, he plays a silly pass into midfield
06:22and then great play from Cameron, slips the ball into the path of Larkesh and a brilliant
06:28finish.
06:29It does come through the legs of Brad Lyons, which maybe doesn't help Robbie McRory, but
06:34certainly a great goal and they deserved their goal at that moment in time, but certainly
06:38the change in the game has been the sending off, which we feel, or the majority of us
06:45here feel, that it was really, really harsh on the player.
06:49It is a sore, it's a sore one, don't get me wrong, I think it's Matty Kennedy, takes one
06:54in the face, but it's one of those coming together of the players, he's exactly the
06:58right height for Silla's elbow, he runs into it as the players come together, a really
07:03unfortunate moment, but for me, it's not a yellow card.
07:06Yeah, I totally agree, I don't think it's a yellow card, I think Matty Kennedy's going
07:11in there to sort of barge Silla and Silla's backing him, using his body, his arms out,
07:16he does catch him in the face, yes, I don't even think it's a foul, I think it's just
07:19one of them ones, you stop the game, it's a dropped ball at the end of it.
07:21Is he maybe being a wee bit careless with his elbow, his arm?
07:24I don't think so, I think it's just that, again, you take into the height difference
07:28of what Kennedy's a lot smaller than Silla, and it's just the way he catches him in the
07:32face, I don't think it's a, definitely not a yellow card for me, I think the referee's
07:36got to understand that Silla is on a yellow card, so that second one's going to send him
07:40off the pitch.
07:41You could see he'd made his mind up quite early on, because he had both cards out.
07:44He did, yeah.
07:45I thought he was going to shuffle them at one point, but...
07:48Well, I think sometimes though, it's very difficult, where are you going to put your
07:53arms, you can see as he's going into the challenge, they're by his side, it's very difficult to
07:58try and move them out of the way when he sees the player coming, I think he's really unfortunate
08:02to even give away a foul, never mind get a yellow card.
08:06Would you say that the Hibernian Motherwell game's perhaps the most entertaining of our
08:11afternoon's offerings?
08:12No, it's been a good game, there's been a number of chances, definitely, Hibs had a
08:17number of good chances, Oxburgh and the Motherwell goal had a few great saves in the first half,
08:24and then it's obviously came to life with Motherwell getting that lead and then, again,
08:28it was a really slack bit of play from O'Donnell that gave Hibs the opportunity to get back
08:33in the game, but it looks as if there could be another goal on that one between now and
08:36full-time whistle.
08:37Well, we'll return to our Premiership matches later, right now we're heading to the Championship,
08:42the top of the table, toe-to-toe between Falkirk and Air United at the Falkirk Stadium,
08:46Amy Canavan is there and is going to tell us what's happening.
08:50Yeah, it's the game of the day, David, and it's certainly delivering good afternoon to
08:54you, as you mentioned there, top of the table clash in the Championship, it is Falkirk 2,
08:58Air United 0, Falkirk are flying, and Ethan Ross is running rampant, he's on the double
09:03today, absolutely terrorising the Air backline down the right-hand side, and he's just went
09:07off and my goodness, Air will be absolutely delighted to see the back of him, his first
09:11a lovely little slot at the near post after being fed in by Gary Oliver, he snatched possession
09:16in the middle of the air defensive half, a clinical and brilliant breakaway, and from
09:21there Falkirk never really looked back, Ross should have had his second in that first half,
09:25skewed a shot after some wonderful work, weaving his way, dancing in the box, while Calvin
09:29Miller powered a cracking effort at Lewis Russell's goal, but he too parried away, but
09:34my goodness, Russell couldn't get anywhere near Ross's cool second finish, another deadly
09:39drive from Lewis Miller on this near side, he picked out Ross tearing down the opposite
09:44flank, the width has been used so, so well by Falkirk today, he then cut inside and coolly
09:49stroked it into the far corner, and as I mentioned, sort of with those earlier chances, it really
09:54could be 4 or 5 if Falkirk wanted it to be today, Air United on the counter, have just
09:58not been anywhere near clinical enough, balls into the box, but just no takers or shots
10:03straight at Nicky Hogarth, Scott Brown is not cutting a very happy figure down there,
10:08while on the other side, John McGlynn and his cap are a very, very happy man, it's Falkirk
10:122, Air United 0.
10:14Thanks Amy, we're heading back to Easter Road now, there has been a development in the game
10:18between Hibbs and Motherwell, Brian?
10:20Yes David, the home side now down to 10 men, Nick, Triantis showing his second yellow of
10:26the afternoon after a challenge on the Motherwell substitute Tony Watt, his first yellow card
10:31early on in the game for a dive inside the box, Matt McDermott instantly on the spot
10:37to show the yellow card then, similarly this time around, a second yellow for Triantis
10:41and a red, Hibbs down to 10, 12 minutes left, still one apiece here at Easter Road.
10:46Just get some reaction to that incident Julie, you saw Triantis picking up his second yellow,
10:51first one was for simulation early on?
10:54Yes, I think both decisions have been spot on, I think the first one, he kind of goes
10:59between bodies, kind of definitely looks to me as if he dives between the two to try and
11:04win a penalty and then the challenge, it's a really silly challenge to make, he almost
11:08sizzles the player, never going to get the ball and extremely silly to do that at this
11:14stage in the game considering the fact that it's 1-1.
11:16Aye, and David Gray had singled him out as one of the players behind the kind of upsurge
11:22in Hibernian's form recently, or performances at least.
11:25Yes, he's off the pitch so again it's a huge loss to them and it's going to be a struggle
11:30between them and the end of the game.
11:32Well we're heading back there because there's been more news for Brian McLaughlin to bring
11:36us, Hibs, Motherwell I think that's a goal this time Brian?
11:38And Motherwell are back in front, it was a long throw in from the left hand side by
11:43Kovi Balmer, over the heads of every single player apart from, that was Andy Halliday
11:49who was coasting in at the back post, a left foot volley which gave Bursic no chance in
11:54the Hibernian goal.
11:55Hibs down to 10 men, they also trail now by 2-1, Hibs 1, Motherwell 2.
12:01Oh things have gone rapidly downhill for Hibs there haven't they?
12:05Yeah they have and again it's an incredible throw in, it's a long throw all the way into
12:10the middle of the goal basically and as Brian says Andy Halliday just goes into the box
12:14and it's a brilliant volley finish and it puts them ahead and it looks like they're
12:18going to go on to three points.
12:19We've already heard what's happening in the match at the top of the table in the championship
12:22let's head to the bottom, Mr Chick Young is watching Airdrie and Anfermline.
12:27Not a lot of change at the bottom to be honest with you David, the scoreline at the moment
12:31at Airdrie is Airdrie 1, Anfermline 1, the Parrs were ahead at half time, they scored
12:37a penalty kick, it was well stuck away by Chris Kane after Aaron Comrie had been brought
12:42down in the box, no doubt for me that it was definitely a penalty kick and Anfermline ahead.
12:47I have to say Airdrie got themselves back into the game towards half time, they made
12:50a couple of changes in the second half and they have indeed equalised Mason Hancock,
12:56the ball whipped in from the right hand side, cheeky little header at the far post just
12:59knocking it over the line to put Airdrie on level terms.
13:03That's the way it stands at the moment, I have to say this game is probably running
13:07a bit behind the rest of the games in the country with a delayed kick-off here because
13:10of an incident with a supporter in the stand behind the goal who was taken away in a stretcher.
13:17We wish him or her all the very best but the game is running late and it stands at the
13:22moment Airdrie 1, Anfermline 1.
13:25Thanks very much Chick, back to the Premiership, back to Dens Park indeed.
13:28Jane, a goal, Dundee or Kilmarnock?
13:31Dundee are down to 10 men, they are now 2-0 up here though.
13:36Long ball played over the top and I have to say Adam Wimmy did really, really well.
13:40He got to the ball, the Dundee defender Jack Burrows was with him all the way trying to
13:46get the ball off him but the Dundee man stood firm and he lipped the ball over the goalkeeper
13:53into the back of the net, Dundee down to 10 men, 2-0 up there against Kilmarnock here
13:58at Dens Park.
14:00Oh go there, surprised by that Julie?
14:02Down to 10 men and they've gone further ahead?
14:03I think sometimes it's a difficult situation to be in for Kilmarnock.
14:09They're chasing the game, they're desperate to get back into it.
14:12When you're playing against 10 men quite often they sit in and then hit you on the break
14:16and that's exactly the way it's been for Dundee and they've done that really well.
14:20They've managed to get that second goal which is vital but for me the defending for Kilmarnock
14:26was really, really poor.
14:28It's just a flick on and it's Mayo I think and he doesn't deal with it, he doesn't manage
14:33to get there and a great finish, Lobs McCrory but for me I think Derek McInnes is going
14:39to be raging with the way his team have defended.
14:41We're heading back to the Championship now, we are going to join Gully Singh at Firhill
14:46where the match is between Partick Thistle and Livingstone.
14:49Hi David, it's currently still 0-0 here at Firhill between Partick and Livingstone.
14:54Second halves threw up a few more chances there, Partick had a chance a few minutes
14:58ago, Scott Robinson substitute for Thistle, there was a break from a Livy corner, there
15:03was three players he had options on his left and right, Robinson, but he decided to go
15:08himself, he blasted it over.
15:10Just before that Livy had a chance on 79 minutes, Christian Montano cut it back, Andy Winter
15:14was in space, he took a stab at it.
15:16The defender blocked it, it looked like it would be the opener but this game has produced
15:21few to little chances there.
15:23Still at least five minutes left, you could possibly see a winner but we won't hold our
15:27breath.
15:27Currently Partick Thistle 0-0, Livingstone 0-0.
15:30Thanks very much Gully, I'll just run you through the rest of the Championship score.
15:33So we've got Airdrie 1-1, Firmland 1-1 as Chick told us about, Falkirk 2-0 up near United,
15:38Morton 2-0 up on Wraith Rovers, Partick Thistle, Livingstone as Gully related 0-0.
15:44Queen's Park 1-0 up on Hamilton.
15:46Perhaps the game of the day in Scottish football is the one at the Falkirk Stadium, Julian,
15:50Falkirk after their first league defeat last week today, Wraith Rovers have bounced back
15:55in some style?
15:56Yeah, I mean their home form's been absolutely incredible for the last couple of seasons
16:02but yeah I think we've been desperate to see these two sides come up against each other.
16:06They're the two teams who have started extremely well, along with Livingstone who still remain
16:11unbeaten, started the Championship extremely well, it's great to see them coming up against
16:17each other but I mean Falkirk coming out on top, they've continued that wonderful form
16:22that they've brought into the Championship.
16:23Yep, surprised at United trailing Falkirk?
16:27I'm not surprised, again what was interesting today was to see the reaction of Falkirk after
16:32the defeat, how were they going to react to that and listen it's been positive, it's a
16:36huge game, two sides that have been going well, as Gully said that Livingstone are kind
16:40of going well in the background as well, they'll be happy with what's going on, they'll
16:44try and sneak the three points today but yeah Falkirk will be delighted with today's work.
16:47I think that'll be like one win in five for United though because they've been racking
16:52up a lot of draws along the way.
16:53They have, they started really well, I think they had something like four in a row and
16:57then a couple of draws but they get back on form last weekend which was ideal timing leading
17:03up to this one but I'm quite sure they knew it was going to be a big ask to go to Falkirk,
17:08brilliant on their own turf and certainly they've bounced back extremely well from that
17:13defeat last weekend.
17:14Well we are going to Arbroath next, Gayfield to be precise, to bring you news of the League
17:18One match between Arbroath and Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Martin Dowden is there.
17:23Yeah it's Arbroath one, Inverness Caledonian Thistle nil, Gavin Reilly second half strike
17:28seemingly going to cap an absolutely miserable week, a good chance here for Inverness, it's
17:33young Cameron Ferguson, son of Duncan, he just screws the ball wide, yeah Gavin Reilly
17:38second half strike looks as though it's going to cap a miserable week for Inverness, also
17:42fighting to avoid administration and the grim times look like they're just about to get
17:46worse, he picked up outside the box, measured a lovely low curling finish right into the
17:52corner, Inverness thought he'd done an immediate equaliser, Charlie Reilly got in, he poked
17:56the ball past goalkeeper McAdams but that ball struck the base of the post in a way
18:01and that sums up their day, they had plenty of first half chances, Louis Longstaff with
18:06the best of those, he spun in the box, an angle shot that was brilliantly tipped away
18:10onto the post by McAdams, Billy McKay then went clean through but was again denied by
18:15the goalkeeper, it just hasn't worked out for Inverness so far as we're into the 90th
18:20minute, Arbroath one, Inverness Caledonian Thistle nil. Back to Dens Park, a goal in
18:24the match between Dundee and Kilmarnock, Kelly back in it Jane? Yeah Kilmarnock are back
18:28in it, it was a great ball played into the box which Matty Kennedy got on the end of,
18:33his shot was fired in, lovely shot, the goalkeeper got a hand to it then kind of spilled it and
18:38the ball just trundled over the line, so yeah Kelly back into this one with just several
18:43minutes to go in this second half but yeah they're back into this one David, it's 2-1
18:47to Dundee here. Can I have to ask you about that one John McCracken, that was a gaffe
18:52wasn't it? Yeah it's a really poor mistake from McCracken, it's allowed Kelly back in
18:56and it'll give them momentum as well, it's just a shot from Kennedy at an angle as well
19:00and it looks like he's got two hands down to it and he's almost deflected it towards
19:05his own goal so yeah it'll give Kilmarnock huge belief going forward. I think it's time
19:09for an encore from Jane at Dens Park, you have something else to tell us about Dundee Kelly?
19:14Yeah, Kilmarnock have just got back into this one a couple of minutes ago and they're right
19:20back into it because they've just made it two each, it's Bruce Anderson who came off
19:24the substitutes bench this afternoon who could be the hero in this one if he can salvage a point
19:29they were 2-0 down, it's now 2-2, Bruce Anderson with the goal there to get an equaliser which
19:34would be much needed from Kilmarnock's point of view, are they checking it? No they're not
19:39checking it, it stands, it's two each. My wordy, things can change in a heartbeat can't they?
19:43Minute by minute, second by second so it's two all in that one, I think three of the games between
19:49the sides last season were two all draws so maybe that's a predictable outcome? I mean the second
19:54game in a row that Kilmarnock have had a bit of late drama, this time it's gone in their favour, it's
20:00great play, it's Mackay Stephen on the right hand side and he shifts the ball onto his right foot
20:05and crosses it to the back post and Bruce Anderson manages to get a wee yard and a great bullet
20:11header so I mean it looks like it is all to play for at Dens at the moment. Yeah Kilmarnock haven't
20:16been great defensively this season and that's been Dundee's weakness as well. Yeah it has been but
20:21it just shows you again we just spoke about the goalkeeping mistake, give Kilmarnock a little bit
20:25of an opportunity and an in back into the game and they've took full advantage of that, it was a
20:29brilliant stand-up ball from Mackay Stephens and great header but yeah I think Kilmarnock will fancy
20:33their chances of going and trying to win this game amazingly. Well would you recommend that course of
20:37action from the Kilmarnock point of view Julie at this point? Like just now? Or hold on for a draw?
20:44I don't think, no I don't think so, I think the fact that they've got 11 against 10, they've got a
20:49corner now, they're absolutely going for it. Now we heard from Martin at Gayfield watching our
20:54growth against Inverness, Caledonian Thistle, troubling times for Cali Thistle at the moment
20:59they have to raise £200,000 by Wednesday or the next Wednesday or they could, a weekend Wednesday
21:05could be getting into administration and over a million and a half by the end of the season to
21:11forestall that. Yeah listen it's really tough times for Inverness at the moment, everyone's
21:15rallying around, I know they've got a crowd fund going as well, I think there's around about £60,000
21:19in that at the moment so it's worrying times for Inverness fans, the club, the players, the manager
21:24so it's going to be really tough especially the way things are going on in the pitch as well, it's
21:28not been a great season for them but yeah you're hoping that somebody will save them and they can
21:33survive. Aye not that long ago, 2015 they won the Scottish Cup, were playing in Europe, a couple of
21:39seasons ago they were in the Scottish Cup final. Yeah it would be a real shame, they're an important
21:44club to the league since they've come in, they've been a real asset and yeah it's not great when you
21:50see the problems that they're having and you do, I mean as Cami said we really hope that somebody's
21:56going to come in and save them and we can see the old Inverness coming back. Yeah we're getting into
22:01the dying stages of the matches this afternoon, we've got goals and a fair scattering of excitement
22:06in the Premiership, Motherwell on course for another good win and Stamatolopoulos has got his
22:12first goal of the season, it was an absolute belter as well early on. It was yeah, it was a great ball
22:17just down the side and for me it's such a narrow angle, he goes near post and I think as a goalkeeper
22:24you're probably disappointed to get beat on your near post, normally you'd be looking to
22:29try and go across the goalkeeper but a brilliant finish, loads of pace on it and a great goal.
22:35Oxburgh's been good for Motherwell in that game as well. He's been brilliant, made some key saves
22:38and that's why they're ahead. Tell you what, we're going to the trail board now folks, tick them off
22:43as I take you through them. Highlights, check, two helpings, Tomo and the team tonight at 7.15,
22:49BBC Scotland join Johnners and company tomorrow at 10.30, wee bit later than normal and on BBC One
22:56Scotland, BBC One Scotland, check, sports sound, yep, tomorrow an epic edition in two halves
23:02starting at quarter to midday with the second session at 7. SWPL, well Rangers versus Motherwell
23:08live on the iPlayer from 2 tomorrow, Partick Thistle against Hearts from 4 on Alipa, highlights of all
23:14the matches on Monday night with Jane Lewis. There's live action on BBC Alipa on Friday night,
23:19Hamilton against Morton in the SPFL Trust Trophy and Sports Sound will sort you out with the Nations
23:26League matches as Scotland take on Croatia and Portugal. Well folks, the scores are in, some of
23:33the full-time reports are ready to go, we'll start with Partick Thistle against Livingston, here's Gulli Singh.
23:40Yes David, it's ended here, Partick Thistle 0, Livingston 0. There was five goals shared between
23:44these sides the last time they met back in February in the Scottish Cup but it was not to be the case
23:48here. Livingston remain unbeaten after their relegation into the Scottish Championship but
23:53this match will far from live in the memories for both sets of supporters. Kyle Turner spurred
23:58a chance after 18 minutes for Thistle for the home side before Harry Milne went in search
24:02of his third goal this season with a volley on 22 minutes, it was comfortably held by Jerome Pryor
24:08and just the one shot on target in the opening period which tells its own story, a real distinct
24:12lack of quality and imagination. Come the second half Livingston went close with a Stephen Kelly
24:17curling effort which looked to have beaten Miles Roberts but it wasn't to be. Kyle Turner back in
24:23the action again for Thistle, his cross in 60 minutes fed Brian Graham, he was in acres of
24:28space, Graham looked to have picked a spot to find the opener but put it wide. Scott Robinson,
24:32the Thistle substitute led a break after a Livingston corner, he had options left and right
24:37however decided to go alone with this effort going well over and the home fans told them exactly how
24:43they felt and Liam Soul in the dying moments, he really looked to have won it for Livingston,
24:47has shot goal bound before Lee Ashcroft's block to deny him, it's ended here Partick Thistle
24:54now Livingston now. And it's all over in Paisley in the Premiership, St Mirren against Dundee United,
25:00full-time report from Kerby. Big win this for Dundee United you sense, St Mirren 0, Dundee
25:07United 1, far far from a classic here in Paisley but try telling that to the thousand strong
25:14tangerine travelling support who are delighted to be heading back up to Tayside with all three
25:20points, they're in full voice right now and they've been really good on the road Dundee United with
25:25two wins and two draws already so far this season, the kind of form that might just keep them in the
25:30top six if they can replicate that away form at Tanadise 2, the only goal of the game came with
25:3615 minutes to go, a much needed lift to a match that never really got going until late on, United
25:42captain Ross Docherty's powerful shot was well saved I thought but it was only parried away
25:48rather than diverted away which meant defender Emmanuel Arreguillega had the easiest of headers
25:53from close range to claim his first Dundee United goal and make up for the absolute sitter he missed
25:59in the first half, St Mirren's best moment of the match was a wonder strike from Caelan Boyd-Muntz
26:04which headed like a rocket for the top left hand corner until visiting keeper Jack Walton
26:10brilliantly palmed it away, other chances came and went for the buddies as they put late pressure on
26:15including headers from Richard Taylor and Toyosi Olusanya that ought to have troubled Walton and goal
26:21but crucially didn't, the Dundee United players right now were walking off with huge smiles on
26:26their faces because the scoreline reads St Mirren 0, Dundee United 1. Drama at Dens, would you
26:33believe it there's been a late goal, could it be the winner Jane Lewis? Yeah I would think so, what a
26:38comeback from a Kilmarnock point of view, could they be heading for their first win off the season
26:43lovely cut back from Matty Kennedy who was running into the area, he smashed the ball home, late
26:48late drama as you see here, I reckon we've only maybe got about a couple of minutes of added time
26:52to go but Kilmarnock in the driving seat now, they were 2-0 down, they now lead this one by three goals
26:57to two at Dens. Full-time Falkirk, the Bairns against Air United in the championship, the top
27:02two toe-to-toe, let's hear how it finished from Amy. Very impressive Falkirk, Air United on
27:08beating start to the Scottish Championship season, David as they move level on points
27:12with the league leaders thanks to Ethan Rossi's double, Falkirk whose remarkable 43 game unbeaten
27:18league run seized against Wraith Rovers last week showed no signs of feeling sorry for themselves
27:23and they were utterly dominant against Scott Brownside, Rossi's first a composed slot at the
27:28near post after Gary Oliver nicked back possession in the air defensive half and fed through the
27:3323 year old who finished and he showed the same level of composure for his second, stroking back
27:38across goal to round off a rapid move spearheaded by Calvin Miller who found his fellow winger
27:44although Air were comfortably second best today they do remain top of the table on goal difference
27:49just about, had any of Falkirk's other chances via Ross, Miller or Brad Spencer who was inches away
27:54from a wonder strike late on then John McGlynn's side would have been finishing top of the pile
28:00tonight, what a start they have made back to life in the second year, it ends here this top of the
28:05table clash Falkirk 2 Air United 0. Martin Downs next on the hockey he is at Arbroath if you recall
28:12watching Red Lichties against Inverness in league one, it's all over Martin. Yeah full-time Arbroath
28:171 Inverness Caledonian fissile 0, Gavin Reilly's second half strike does cap a miserable
28:23week for Inverness, grim times just got worse, Reilly picked up outside the box measured a
28:28lovely low curling finish into the corner though Inverness thought they had an immediate equaliser
28:32Charlie Reilly got in, he knocked the ball past goalkeeper McAdams but saw the ball strike the
28:38base of the post and away the visitors will feel though they had the better chances, Louis Longstaff
28:43saw his first half effort brilliant and tipped onto a post, Billy Mackay was denied when clean
28:48on in the keeper as well, Paul Allen thought he'd netted but another excellent save denied him
28:53Arbroath worked their way into the game though Reilly made the difference and despite a very
28:57late red for Keith Watson they held firm to send the visitors up the A9 fighting to avoid
29:02administration and struggling to get wins just one now from nine league games in league one Arbroath
29:081 Inverness Caledonian fissile 0. Time to hear from Brian McLaughlin it's full time at Easter
29:13Road Hibernian against Motherwell. Yes David it's all over here at Easter Road and it's finished
29:18Hibernian 1 Motherwell 2 a huge victory for the Third Parkside all the action all the real action
29:23then came in coming in the second half the visitors ahead after 56 minutes a very clever
29:30free kick by Lennon Miller who was immense again throughout this game into the path of Stamford
29:35Telopolis and Sterling International then fired the ball from an acute angle into the roof of the
29:41net the lead though lasted only a few minutes a mistake by Steve O'Donnell allowed Junior Hoylett
29:46sight of goal took one touch to control the ball then sent a curling right foot shot beyond the
29:52Motherwell goalkeeper and then a few key moments with 12 minutes left to play a second yellow card
29:59for Nectaris Triantis the Hibernian midfielder had been booked in the first half for diving inside
30:04the box but then the second a challenge on Tony Watt the referee Matt McDermott no chance then
30:09just seconds later a long throw by Balmer into the box eluded everyone apart from Andy Halliday that
30:15was the Motherwell midfielder ghosted in to left foot volley beyond the Hibs goalkeeper it's the
30:22Motherwell fans who are celebrating the Hibs fans they're heading home without a good Saturday night
30:27to look forward to it's finished here at Easter Road Hibernian 1 Motherwell 2. Heart-stopping
30:33stuff at Dens this afternoon with a grandstand finish to boot Jane Lewis will tell us all about
30:38Dundee and Kilmarnock. Kilmarnock fans are leaving Dens Park very very happy they've just watched
30:45their team win their first match of the season it finished here at Dundee 2 Kilmarnock 3 it was
30:51quite a comeback for Kelly against 10 men Dundee it all started so well for the home side they got
30:57off the mark pretty early on Zaid Larkesh with his shots in off the post then came out a contentious
31:03moment just before halftime Mo Salah was already on a yellow card he was then sent off for a coming
31:10together with Matt Kennedy the replay showed that he did catch him in the face although Kennedy was
31:14also moving towards him too but the referee brandished a second yellow and he was off Kilmarnock
31:19in the second half tried to make that man advantage count they piled on the pressure the Dundee
31:24defence though in fairness to them at that point were holding form the woodwork was also
31:29playing its part as well and Dundee despite being reduced to 10 men they didn't shut up shop and they
31:33were rewarded a ball over the top Adam Wimmy a real spark for Dundee when he came on as a sub
31:39it did really well to seal off the Kelly defence and lob the Kilmarnock goalkeeper so Dundee were
31:442-0 up at that stage but Kilmarnock well the heads didn't go down and their pressure finally
31:48told Matt Kennedy was in the thick of it as well he was instrumental in that fight back he got them
31:54back to 2-1 and John McGracken the Dundee goalkeeper probably won't want to see this
32:00one again he did get a hand to the ball but it just slipped out if he's gonna let it spill
32:05and it trundled over the line and just a minute later great ball in from Gannon McKay Stephen
32:10and Bruce Anderson there was there with a brilliant header Kelly weren't done there Matt
32:14Kennedy again running into the area a little cut back and he raced on the ball and smashed the
32:21ball home to grab Kelly their first winner of the season dramatic lots of contentious issues it's
32:27why we love it though isn't it Scottish football at its best Dundee 2 Kilmarnock 3 here at Dens
32:32yeah I've not seen Derek McInnes look that happy for a long while let's dip our toes in the waters
32:37of the English Premier League now Maz Faruqi will bring us details of the early game there
32:42involving Crystal Palace and leaders Liverpool Liverpool so comfortable at times but only scoring
32:47the one goal early on through Diogo Jota after Enkete had an effort ruled out for offside rightly
32:53after just 30 seconds but how often do we say this Liverpool then holding on and at times in the
32:58second half after Jota failed to score a couple of excellent other chances there was a header from
33:03Alexander-Arnold free kick in particular that he should have put away Palace will point to a very
33:07big moment later on when they felt they should have had a penalty for a shirt tug from Van Dijk
33:12on Gehi Alisson then had to be subbed with what looked like a hamstring issue but Palace couldn't
33:17sufficiently test sub keeper Yarros to find an equaliser so Liverpool hold on for the win but
33:22it's seven games in the league without a victory now for Palace this season full time here at
33:26Selhurst Park Palace nil Liverpool one yeah from the team at the top of the shop in English Premier
33:32League to the two at the bottom of the championship Airdrie and Dunfermline in action this afternoon
33:36it was watched by Chick yeah David Dunfermline and Airdrie both anchored still at the bottom of
33:43that table that you referred to it finished 1-1 here at Airdrie this afternoon not a classic I
33:48have to say in all honesty it was a Dunfermline who went ahead after 28 minutes there was a penalty
33:55kick it was Comrie Aaron Comrie brought down the box and Chris Kane dispatched it with some class
34:00to put the pars ahead but Airdrie equalised in the second half it was a simple cheeky little
34:07far post header from Mason Hancock bowling from the right hand side he just he just crept in and
34:12just knocked it over the line with his head to put Airdrie level and actually one or two chances
34:17towards the end a great strike from Adam Frizzell nearly gave Airdrie the winner but it's 1-1
34:23on the afternoon which I think is probably a fair outcome how much use that will be to two teams as
34:29I said anchored at the bottom of the league we'll see as the season progresses but however you
34:33analyse it full time here at Airdrie it was Airdrie won Dunfermline won thanks very much Chick and as
34:39they say in Strictly the scores are in so that means I can bring you today's classified results round up

38:12Dons 1 Tranmere Rovers 1 Notts County 0 Port Vale 1 Salford City 1 AFC Wimbledon 0 Swindon Town 0
38:22Harrogate Town 0 and on Monday it's Bradford City at home to Newport County. Time for a look at the
38:28tables starting with the oh not that one we'll even go there we'll start with the William Hill
38:34Premiership the top three not in action till tomorrow but Motherwell now level on points
38:39with third place Rangers after a 2-1 away win at Easter Road today congratulations to them. Ditto
38:45Dundee United congratulations to Jim Goodwin and his team a 1-0 win at St Mirren means they're just
38:51a point behind Motherwell and Rangers and they open up a wee gap between themselves and St Mirren
38:58Kilmarnock up to ninth with their first win of the league season incredible comeback at
39:03Dens Park to beat Dundee 3-2. Killie now level with the men from Dens on six points.
39:10In the championship big news in the championship that news is that Falkirk are now level on points
39:15with Air United with two games in hand after beating the Honest Men 2-0 at the Falkirk Stadium
39:21this afternoon. The other match of great interest I think Dunfermline Athletic against
39:27the Real Runes at the foot of the table it finished one a piece so they are still level on points.
39:34In league one Kelty Hearts go to the top of the table with a 5-1 win away to Queen of the South
39:40incredible stuff there second place Alwa lost as well they dropped to third Stennis Muir
39:44winners away to Dumbarton are up to second and the Sons of the Rock
39:48are now rock bottom three points behind Inverness. Finally we have the Butchers at
39:55league two East Fife going from strength to strength there four points clear at the top
40:00their nearest rivals Elgin City, Edinburgh City are the back markers there just a couple of points
40:07behind Clyde. Oh my goodness what an interesting collection of results this afternoon but we have
40:14to start Cammy with the one-year-old clubs Kilmarnock last week it looked as though they
40:19were coasting to three points ended up with getting a point out of a game against Dundee
40:23United today against the other half of Dundee they looked down and out they come back from 2-0 down
40:29to win 3-2. Yeah they did and they kept fighting right to the end again I think that that first
40:35goal that they got from Kennedy where McCracken should make the save it gives them that belief
40:40and confidence going forward they score right off the back of that from a Bruce Anderson header
40:44and then they're always pushing they're always pushing but the last goal was a brilliant bit
40:48of play from Bobby Wales youngster came on great touch puts the ball across the box and Matt
40:53Kennedy there to put in but what a finish for Killian they needed that as well they needed
40:56the three points. Yeah good good feeling from Derek McInnes at the end theatrically wiping his
41:01brow in the direction of the supporters. Yeah I'm sure he was extremely relieved I think the pressure
41:06is on when you come up against 10 players especially when you've got the full second half
41:12but I mean all credit to him his subs really made the difference you had Mackay Stephen with
41:18assists you had Bruce Anderson with a goal and Bobby Wales absolutely brilliant piece of play for
41:23that final goal. A rare afternoon coming because it was three away wins Motherwell excellent win for
41:28them against Hibs. Oh brilliant win for them and it's a huge win again Hibs will be really
41:33disappointed with the result but for Motherwell they've been in great form this season
41:37the goal they scored to win the game Andy Halliday a long throw into the box he goes in finish
41:42and they'll be absolutely delighted with the three points. Well we can hear now from the
41:46Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell after that 2-1 win away to Hibs. Stuart congratulations
41:53a victory in the end it was you're ready to fight for it though particularly the first half.
41:57Yeah I'll be honest Brian I always try and be I thought we hung in there in the first half I
42:02didn't think we showed what we can be as a team and thought we probably stood off them a wee bit
42:07and I think we know they've got good ball carriers we know they've got good athleticism and we felt
42:11we probably had to make a wee bit more contact with that just to turn the ball over and I thought
42:15we addressed that right to start the second half there's a wee moment with their goalkeeper Zach
42:18Robinson puts him under pressure it goes wide onto the right hand side and I think you could feel
42:23that gave us a lift and we started to grow in confidence we always know they're going to carve
42:27out opportunities need to commend my goalkeeper again he makes a massive stop from from cadding
42:31a big stage in the game we obviously have a huge error in there that leads to the Hibs goal
42:38and I need to go on record saying it you get guys in your group and you work with guys over time
42:42Stephen O'Donnell is the most reliable guy not just as a football player Brian but as a person
42:47but I think you could see that his teammates rallied around him once he'd made that error
42:51he rallied himself and we get what is an absolutely brilliant victory for us coming here because
42:56I said to you before the game I think they're a far better side maybe than what they were last
43:00season just in my opinion and for us to come here and pick up another three points is testament to
43:05that group and the character and the personality that's in there it references another three
43:09points there Julie that's four wins in five for Motherwell what a start a brilliant start they've
43:14only been beaten by Rangers and Aberdeen teams that are above them in the league and that makes
43:17a difference to your league position if you can beat the teams in and around you the teams below
43:22you then you find that you're going to be sitting in a tidy position which they are and their
43:27performances have been great they've shown real character at times when they've really needed it
43:31and their final goal the long throw it goes to them right in the middle of the goal Andy
43:37Halliday comes off the back post and a great volley to get that winner and they did deserve
43:44it in the end but that going on their second half performance. Hibs toiling though Cammy five points
43:50again we're touching on again poor defensively yes it's a long throw in that they'll lose a
43:55goal from you should never lose a goal directly from a long throw and poor defending and that's
43:59been the theme over the last few seasons they've never rectified it and that's why they keep on
44:04losing games but that's a big loss and the fans will be really frustrated after that today.
44:09So the third winners on the road this week Dundee United, Kennedy's referenced it there
44:14they've been brilliant on the road this season and that's then done the double over St Mirren
44:18beat them 1-0 in the league cup and then they've beaten them 1-0 this afternoon in Paisley.
44:22Yeah unbeaten away from home and that's a brilliant record to have especially still at
44:28this stage in the season and so yeah they've had a really strong start they've come into the league
44:32they've got a squad of players who are equipped and ready to go and they grind out results when
44:37you need it the most and that's what they've managed to do this afternoon. Well in fact we can
44:41hear from the Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin after that win on the road in Paisley this afternoon.
44:47Jim that feels like a pretty big win for Dundee United, do you agree? Absolutely any win away
44:54from home is massive kind of thing but I don't need to guess what game your guys in the sports
45:00scene studio will be showing last this weekend because it wasn't it wasn't easy on the earlier
45:06times you know I thought it was a really scrappy game you know St Mirren are such a difficult team
45:10to play against because of the the physicality they get the ball forward early you've got to
45:16defend the box you know we took a lot of learnings from last weekend down at Kilmarnock where we
45:20didn't do that for a 15-20 minute period in the second half and found ourselves conceding three
45:24goals so we worked a lot on the defensive shape this week and I thought we defended brilliantly
45:30we felt at halftime you know whoever got that first goal was going to go on and win the game
45:34and thankfully Mane Adebayega was the first one to react from the shot and headed it home and
45:40you know huge three points as far as we're concerned. Hi Jim Goodwin talked about going
45:44to the land of the giants in Paisley because of the physical stature of the team but that
45:49in the land of the giants is a big win. Massive win, massive win for Jim Goodwin he'll be delighted
45:54as he said there with that three points but I think it shows a different side of the Dundee
45:57United side when they need to dig in they're playing against a physical side yes they've
46:01got good footballers but he touched on how good they were defensively as well today they were
46:06really really good and deserved the three points. So Jim's saying that wasn't the best of games
46:10then it's probably going to be last in the running order tonight we'll tune in to see if he's
46:14predictive powers are spot on but tomorrow we've got another three games scattered throughout the
46:18day Ross County Celtic, Aberdeen Hearts, Rangers St Johnson. What's the pick of the bunch there
46:25Julie? Is it Aberdeen against Hearts? I think probably yeah for me that's probably on paper
46:30looks as if it's going to be the tightest game. Aberdeen obviously had an incredible start to the
46:35season winning every single one of their league games and you've got a Hearts side who are
46:41desperately trying to turn the corner and they've had two victories or sorry they had a victory
46:46midweek and they had a great 94th minute goal midweek and they also had that late equaliser
46:53last weekend as well so it could be the tables are turning for them and they'll need to go to
46:58Pataudry and try and get something from the game. Hi, producer Colin said at a meeting this morning
47:02that there's a thing in Scottish football you can't have Aberdeen and Hearts both doing well
47:06at the same time. No you can't it's just one of these things but I think with them late goals
47:12from Hearts I really do think there'll be belief there and they are starting to turn the corner
47:16they've got great players in their squad so it's going to be a really exciting game tomorrow.
47:20And then we've got Rangers and Celtic another you're talking about Hearts and Rangers another
47:23European representatives on the back of a couple of can I call them doings is that fair to say?
47:29Celtic 7-1 in Germany Rangers 4-1 at home they've both got to bounce back would you expect them to
47:37so do? I would yeah I mean certainly Celtic's league form has been absolutely incredible the

47:54been beaten similar to Motherwell they've only been beaten by Rangers in Aberdeen maybe not
47:58picked up as many wins as they would like but it won't be an easy place to go but Celtic
48:04I mean in league form they've yet to concede so that shows you the form that they've got both
48:09defensively and at the front of the pitch. And St Johnson's new boss Simo Valarcane not taking
