00:13Learning something new every single day for a week
00:17Seems fun. Why not? To impress my son. That's the reason why. Yes
00:22The first thing I wanted to learn was how to spin a Frisbee on my finger
00:26It turns out that's a lot harder than I thought it was. So on day one, I tried it out. It didn't go well
00:33Frisbee, how hard can it be?
00:36It comes with a little bag, which I'll never ever use. Nice
00:40Attempt number one. This will be the benchmark
00:51Attempt number two
00:56This might be a little harder than I thought
01:02Apparently I was spinning it the wrong way
01:04I was spinning it this way
01:05But you're supposed to spin it towards you
01:07It kind of helps to look at it from the top like this because then you can see how it spins and get a feel
01:12For it and then you kind of imagine drawing a circle with your finger
01:17I'm still kind of learning it, but it's definitely first time I see an improvement
01:22I'm, just going to keep practicing this until Bjorn is satisfied
01:26It's a lot harder than I thought
01:30All right, Marzia's trying. How are you better than me the first time?
01:38I know why, because you have the dough, the pasta pizza dough. Built an instinct. Okay, maybe not
01:53Am I boring you? Really?
01:57No
01:59The reason I wanted to learn this was because when I was a kid
02:02My dad knew how to do this and I thought that was the coolest thing ever
02:05I even told all my friends that hey, my dad can spin a frisbee on his finger. Isn't that awesome?
02:11I just thought it was so cool. That legacy has to live on. I had to learn how to spin a frisbee on my finger
02:17I
02:22Practice this a lot and I actually did this throughout the entire week
02:26For 10 minutes outside because Bjorn liked being outside and he liked watching me do it. I think it's because it's so bright color
02:32That was a good one
02:45The trick is to spin it like here I started like here so you kind of want to work your way around here
02:52And I think the problem I had was you sort of instinctively move your whole arm
02:57But then you it starts wobbling and you lose balance
03:00So you really want to try and just like focus on keeping traction on your fingers
03:04And the more you do it the more you sort of get control and you understand when you can
03:09Apply force to keep it spinning. I'm still working it out. But that's what I got so far. All right, let's try the pillow today
03:28So
03:46The final challenge
03:49Yeah new skill online
03:52You know, I practice stuff that requires hand coordination before and generally what you want is to just practice
04:00a lot
04:02For for many different days
04:09Yeah, I find it really interesting just how just sleeping, you know, just
04:15Do a little bit rest and then come back and then magically you're better
04:19How does that work brain subconscious being like bruh
04:22I would actually love to do this kind of thing again where I practice something maybe for 10 minutes and see what kind of result
04:27You can get I just find that interesting. But anyway
04:31I bet you're sitting here thinking I wish I could learn something too. Well, you can't did you know that discord recently got hacked?
04:40and over
04:42700,000 users more got their user data stolen. Did you know that did you know that did you know that?
04:49Well, you would know that if you use nordvpn
04:52Greatest vpn. Oh because nordvpn is so much more than a vpn. It's your best friend
04:59It's a cool summer's breeze
05:01It's a pat in the back saying good job when you didn't really do anything
05:07Nordvpn monitors the dark web for you
05:09So when a website or an application gets compromised your user data is stolen. How would you normally know?
05:16You would have to constantly look it up. I don't know constant fear and distress but nordvpn does this for you
05:22So you would know immediately if this has happened and you know
05:25It's time to change all your passwords with even more amazing features like threat protection
05:29Which makes sure that you don't click on any oopsies you ever clicked on an oopsie?
05:33It's not good use nordvpn so much more than just a vpn browse the internet safely
05:39The whole internet safely and securely and don't even worry about it, bro
05:43If you use the link in the description nordvpn.com
05:46Pewdiepie you get the best deal with a two-year plan huge discount think think big now multiply it with huge
05:54Because you also get four additional months for free
05:57You are welcome, but you have to use my link use my link and no other link and no other vpns either use my link
06:04Trust me. I've been using nordvpn for years. It's an amazing service
06:07I highly recommend it and if you want to just check it out, it's 30 days money
06:12Back guaranteed check it out what you got to lose link in description on with the next day
06:17Day two I asked Marzia my beautiful wife. What should I learn today? And she came up
06:23With baking I don't bake. Sorry. I know how to make swedish pancakes and swedish knäckebröd. That's it
06:30This is a really tough challenge out of my comfort zone
06:33but I think
06:35In the end it went pretty well
06:37So
06:40What do we have here baking chair
06:45Challenge, let's see, uh, dear father. I know you want to impress me, but if you successfully do this
06:52Mother will also be impressed. Okay
06:56This letter contains a clue guess
07:01Your child here donuts
07:04Because it's donuts around bread because it's ponderable. Can I open my eyes?
07:09Oh, we are making ponderable
07:11So this is a really cute
07:14Kids book in japan. It's super popular marzia loves it. I love it, too
07:17So I get to pick or I get to pick. Oh my god. Yes
07:22We gotta do the mazuri face
07:25It's in japanese, okay, this also became like a japanese test as well. Okay, I think we have all the ingredients
07:32I need 40 grams of water
07:3551 this is gonna nail it
07:3939 good enough. Okay. So first we take a small bowl
07:43Milk and water and the yeast. I feel like you shouldn't mix those things. That's a little cursed
07:50This was like a lot of yeast and i'm supposed to leave it for two minutes
07:55And then we have a big bowl
07:57And we enter all this stuff on the left side, which is the flour and
08:03Shit, why don't you use use deciliter as in sweden?
08:08200 grams. This seems like a lot of flour
08:11I feel I if you weren't here i'd be like this is wrong in the big bowl. What was that salt? So this is salt 15 grams
08:19This is sugar
08:2015 and then finally the salt which is only three grams
08:25Not that much sugar
08:29So this is making dough i'm making dough right now
08:33This is flour, isn't it?
08:35Oh, wow, they made it so perfect
08:38Okay, so flip it on itself. I have like really gross hands because of the climbing
08:44Do you want to eat my bread?
08:45Do you feel stressed out when you bake?
08:48No, this is you enjoy this
08:50But uh 10 grams boom first try
08:54Nope, I was supposed to knead the butter in and then it's supposed to rise after that
09:01You think you're cool you think you're cool little guy
09:12It looks like a little baby
09:15There he goes goodbye baby and now the baby will grow eight hours it's a year in eight hours
09:26Eight hours, all right, it's technically day two, but it still counts as a one-day activity. Look at that
09:33That's pretty good. Next step is to
09:36Roll it up and cut into three pieces and get some flour
09:39Flour what do you think of that? Hello little baby there and there
09:48There we go one and that's it now i'm supposed to call them out, I don't know that in english 12 centimeters
09:58I'm doing it good
10:00We're doing it good. Look at that. That's a good one
10:05Put it in. All right. See you in 50 minutes
10:09It'll come out like that. Oh, whoa. They're so massive. They did. Yeah, they did rice a little bit melt those bad boys
10:19So now it's cooking time it's been 30 minutes let's check out
10:25Bread it smells really good
10:29Smell it pretty nice pretty smelly. Let's cut the butt first
10:36That's bread
10:37My friends, I like the butter the bread that's good. It's pretty good. Yeah
10:45Perfect slice now i'm supposed to draw
10:51This on this with a food pen don't draw with an actual pen I see what we're working with here
11:01Maybe you know in the future bjorn has a favorite character which will be pandorable obviously
11:06But little details so you can draw fun things
11:10I didn't sense really that's
11:13It's really cute. Let me do the other one as well
11:19Art
11:21Look at that
11:24And there you have it pandora brae very cute itadakimasu
11:30Oh
11:34Not bad
11:36Pretty good recipe. I like it
11:39Day three
11:40I asked you guys for suggestions on what I should learn that day and one user came up with shadow puppets, which was
11:47Perfect. I loved it
11:48This was the perfect one day challenge because it didn't take long to learn and it was really fun to see the result
11:55Uh, and I think bjorn
11:57Absolutely loved it. Yeah. What do you what do you think of this?
12:02Any thoughts
12:04No
12:06He's still too young really, uh, but it's yeah, i'm definitely gonna keep uh practicing these because I thought they were awesome
12:13Shadow puppets a plus love the love learning that I will keep learning that a great skill to have to impress kids
12:20and myself
12:23It's a bunny
12:25These are the ones I learned
12:28The first one is really cool. I think you will even like it. So you do like this weird
12:33Thing and you're like, what the hell is this, right?
12:36But then the magic happens
12:39And it becomes a bunny
12:42Look, it's a bunny bjorn
12:44Hello little bjorn
12:46What are you doing today? Sorry out of no time. I'm a bunny
12:51No, i'm a very excited bunny
12:55Isn't it cool
12:56Look, it even has a little eye. It's nice to meet you bjorn
13:00I have to go. Bye. Bye
13:02Next one bjorn. Don't be scared. This is daddy
13:20You can do a little nicer version, oh my god, it's bjorn
13:24Oh, they're supposed to be a dog, but I don't really look like a dog. What do you think bjorn?
13:33What is this
13:37It's a snail
13:44Wow, it's tough being a snail not impressed
13:54The lamest one it had to be done. Yeah, it's a bird
14:03It's made a duck quack
14:07My making great noises, ah, hello bjorn, it's me
14:19I'm so bad. Ah
14:22Oh my god, it's bjorn
14:25Wow
14:26I love bjorn. He is the greatest
14:34I want to hear your feedback honest feedback. Oh, wow. Thanks
14:44Hello bjorn
14:46I am
14:47a moose
14:48Remember to also visit your homeland sweden
14:52And because we have moose like me here and it's very good
14:58We have really really good meatballs. I think you're gonna like the meatballs bjorn
15:03Although we can make meatballs here from japan as well
15:07Uh, well, uh, it's been a pleasure to say hi to you bjorn. I forget to speak
15:14Is
15:20Oh, yes, I am, of course
15:29Day four
15:31Day four was a bit random because I wasn't planning to do it
15:34But we were heading out to try out one of those trampoline parks and I thought perfect chance for me to finally
15:41Finally learn how to do a front flip. I can't do a front flip. I never done one
15:45I don't know how to do one but uh
15:48I asked the person that worked there if he could uh, sort of instruct teach me how to do it
15:53And you do it in succession
15:55So first you kind of do a somersault without uh with your hands then you do a somersault without your hands
16:01Uh on a mattress then you try and do a whole flip without your hands
16:06And then so on and so forth
16:08So it's kind of you take the steps up and yeah
16:29After all that I could do it and it's cool I can do it all my friends could do front flips
16:34I could never do front flip now. I can do front flip. I realize it's less cool when you're 32 years old, but hey
16:41I know how to do a front flip
16:43Day five was actually a huge failure because I was planning to do something else
16:47It already takes up a lot of time to have a child right now
16:51And I only had so much time every single day to practice one of these things
16:56And what I was planning to do failed completely
16:59So I needed to improvise and therefore I decided to learn 3d printing except I already know how to 3d print
17:10We have this little uh play pen for bjorn and we
17:14Realized that the it's so humid in japan that the robes were becoming moldy
17:18So I decided I was going to replace them with something even cooler than a bunch of stupid geometric shapes philosophers
17:25I printed out plato socrates and seneca. I was gonna do diogenes, but I couldn't find a 3d cat
17:31And I'm sure as hell not gonna model one myself the result. However was
17:36Spectacular and I know bjorn is gonna love it
17:39So we're gonna replace these but with my 3d prints
17:44We got socrates
17:46We got plato. We got seneca
17:50It's gonna be beautiful
17:52I'm not gonna try and influence you in any way bjorn like you'll pick the stuff that you like and you enjoy
17:58But also I apologize about this
18:03It's not a dog toy it's human toy
18:09This is ridiculous
18:11This is just a joke. I'm not gonna actually keep these
18:14I don't even know if this type of plastic is safe for children. I just did it and there's the result. There you go bjorn
18:22He loves it
18:23But it does look great. They do look very creepy. Also did a dumbbell which is pretty cool
18:30No
18:31As I was filming it broke what I have this for you
18:35There we go. That's my boy right there
18:40I'm not trying to steer my child in any form of direction. Whatever he will enjoy he will enjoy but also
18:47Day six my god learning something for every single day for this long. It was getting kind of tough
18:54I'm, not gonna lie
18:55But if you want to impress your child everyone knows the one thing you brag about when you're a kid is that my dad
19:02Can beat up your dad?
19:03He's way stronger than your dad or he works on nintendo and he can beat up your dad
19:08So I wanted to learn how to do a one-arm push-up. My dad can beat up your dad
19:13Oh, yeah, well, can your dad do a one-arm push-up because my dad can do that. I tried this before and I failed spectacularly
19:20Spectacularly spectacularly. Oh, no
19:24spectacularly
19:25spectacularly
19:28If I twist my body it's actually quite easy I can do it with my left hand let's try that with the right
19:38I feel like that doesn't count
19:40But it turns out there's a trick to it
19:42All you have to do is separate your legs to maintain a balance and that's it. It's actually kind of easy
19:48I wasn't even sure if I did it right because it's so easy. But hey
19:52I learned how to do one-arm push-up day seven of learning something new every single day
19:57Finally the last day and oh boy that I saved the hardest one for last
20:02Sewing sewing sewing i'm not suing you i'm sewing you i'm sewing I suck at sewing
20:08I never sewed I sewed in second grade. I was so bad at this
20:12I was it was genuinely stressing me out and oh boy that I over complicated. We just need to do this
20:22I wanted to make a wizard hat for bjorn. Yeah, it was so hard. I don't know why it was so hard
20:27I felt very dumb and stupid and I overthought the entire process. Hello. It's the last day, which i'm actually
20:35kind of relieved about
20:36Me and marzia went out to get some fabric and she's show me the ropes. We'll see how this goes. I have not sewn
20:44Since second grade so I need a circumference of 10 centimeter
20:49That's a tiny hat. So i'm gonna try and draw a circle by using this method
20:59That's the roundest circle on the planet right there i'm just making stuff up here and marzia did not tell me to do this
21:06I hope the felt community is not watching this seems like the kind of community you don't want to piss off
21:12So now I gotta do my third grade math
21:15and calculate the circumference, okay, that's
21:19Almost as big as the felt itself. Is that so 34.5 maybe 35.5
21:27Okay, oh my god, it's gonna be so cute that's a very tall hat though now that i'm looking at it
21:33Yeah, i'll make it tall it's really scary to do stuff for the first time
21:38I don't have the confidence and I also don't have the extra fabric
21:42So this has to work. This actually reminds me when I was a kid. My mom made me a strawberry hat
21:49A little strawberry hat and I was so proud of it
21:52So a nice little homage to my mom as well here and not just my frisbee spinning dad. Hopefully bjorn will love it
22:00He won't remember it. But hey
22:02Probably could have drawn this more
22:04towards the edge
22:06I realize i'm very dumb. I already knew this this is where the head's supposed to be. Uh, this is more of what I was
22:15Yeah, this will work that was a lot harder than I thought it was
22:18But it's shaping up the way I want it to oh, yeah
22:23It's time to sew
22:24I feel like I already messed this up
22:27I'm gonna have to improvise a little bit here
22:33Let's redo that I needed to take a break to actually figure this out my diameter
22:38136
22:39My radius 68. We have a circle and I want to make like a 120 degree
22:46This is the area I need c2 is
22:50427.26
22:52And that means we just need to do this divided with two
22:56Pi
22:59No, that's not what I want to do pi r I want to calculate so just divide it by two
23:03and pi
23:05That's all I needed to do
23:07Okay, I shamefully had to sew a bunch of stuff together because I yeah, I just messed up so bad
23:13But now i'm finally in the sewing properly face
23:20This thing looks
23:23horrible
23:25I'm so done. I hate it
23:30It's so bad
23:33Hey
23:34Yeah. Hey
23:36But in the end marzia came to save me when I had given up she said she did one percent
23:42Out of 99 but I think it was more like 10 at least 10
23:46I needed backup that looks so much better now
23:49But honestly as stressful and horrible as it was seeing bjorn wearing the wizard hat it made it worth it
23:55It was extremely cute
23:59It's so big
24:00I made it a little bigger on purpose, but I didn't think it was that much bigger
24:05That was so much harder than I thought but we got there in the end with a little help from our team
24:11It was worth it just to see him in the hat to be honest
24:14Oh, wow, he works for the dogs, too
24:18No, oh my goodness. Oh, but yeah
24:22We got
24:24Final challenge completed. So there we go
24:26I learned something new every day for a week
24:28But I also bonus learned
24:30That learning new things is very fun and satisfying not just so you can be that cool dad who can spin a frisbee on his hands
24:37You know, but it genuinely feels very satisfying and I do think just practicing something
24:43for a small portion every single day can actually have pretty
24:47Significant results if you just want to learn the basics, obviously, so I challenge you. Hey learn something new
24:52I wouldn't pick seven things. Just pick one thing. That's that's a smart thing to do. Yeah, if you want a weird and
25:00Stressful, but genuinely fun and memorable week while doing something different. I recommend it. Hope you guys enjoyed this video
25:06I had a lot of fun making it and I'll see you guys in the next one. Bye. Bye
25:13He's strong as hell that's gonna be at least 20 pounds
