Ferne goes to Timmy's croft to meet his lambs. They clean out the lambs' shed and ensure they have plenty to eat and drink. Together, they gather loose wool from around the fields and make a picture using paint and the wool they have collected. They hang the picture in the shed for the lambs to enjoy.

01:03Have you met my pets and me?
01:11Today we're on the Isle of Skye to meet Timmy and his lambs.
01:14Let's go find them.
01:19Hi Timmy.
01:21Hi friends.
01:22Hi, how are you?
01:23Fine.
01:24Hi.
01:26Are these your lambs?
01:28Yes.
01:29They are beautiful.
01:31What are their names?
01:33Troy and Noah.
01:35So Noah has the whole black face and Troy's got little black and white spots.
01:39Yes.
01:40And what type of sheep are they?
01:42Black faces.
01:43And how old are Troy and Noah?
01:45Nine weeks.
01:46So they're still quite young, aren't they?
01:48Yes.
01:49What is your favourite thing about having lambs?
01:51You get to cuddle them and give them milk.
01:54Which one's the most cuddly?
01:56Troy.
01:57And which one's the cheekiest?
01:59Troy.
02:00Is he? He's everything.
02:02Hello you.
02:05How many sheep do you have?
02:07A lot.
02:08A lot.
02:09Why do you keep them separate from the rest of them?
02:12Well they're still babies and we're still feeding them milk and they don't have any mums.
02:18So you're hand raising them?
02:19Yes.
02:20And then when they get a bit bigger will you introduce them to the rest?
02:23Yes.
02:24When sheep live in a group what's it called?
02:26A flock.
02:27Should we go visit the flock?
02:29Yes.
02:30I would love to see them.
02:31Daddy can look after the lambs.
02:33Should we go?
02:34Yes.
02:41Timmy is this the rest of the flock?
02:43Yes.
02:44They're gorgeous.
02:45You live in such a beautiful area.
02:48Now am I right in saying that you can speak another language?
02:51Yes.
02:52What is it?
02:53Gaelic.
02:54Gaelic is a Celtic language spoken in some parts of Scotland.
02:57That's really cool.
02:59So can you tell me what sheep is in Gaelic?
03:02Cura.
03:03Cura.
03:04And what is a lamb?
03:05Uan.
03:06Uan.
03:07Am I pronouncing it right? Uan?
03:08Yes.
03:09And where are we now?
03:10Scotland.
03:11What's Scotland in Gaelic?
03:13Alba.
03:15Alba.
03:16Do you think that's what your sheep say?
03:18Yes.
03:19Rory, can you tell us some more facts about our woolly friends here in Alba?
03:24Of course, Ferm.
03:26One.
03:27Lambs have great eyesight and some even have rectangular-shaped pupils.
03:33Two.
03:34Lambs have lovely thick woolly coats that help to keep them warm and dry in cold and snowy weather.
03:41Three.
03:44The baa noise a sheep makes is called a bleat,
03:47and a baby lamb knows its mummy by the sound of her bleat and her smell.
03:58Timmy's lambs are still young, so he needs to help care for them
04:01because their mummies couldn't look after them.
04:03So what do we have to do, Timmy, to look after your lambs?
04:06We have to clean out the pen and give them milk.
04:11Give them milk. That sounds like a lot to do.
04:13Should we get started while they're out playing?
04:15Yes.
04:16What do you think your lambs are doing outside?
04:18Running around.
04:20Are they good at running?
04:21Yes.
04:22What do we do?
04:23We have to use these to pick up all the poo and put it in the bucket.
04:28Right. Let's do that then.
04:31So the back of the pen here, where I am, is this where they sleep?
04:36Yes.
04:37OK.
04:38And this is where they play.
04:40Lovely.
04:42Oh, there are lots of poos here.
04:47How often do you clean out the pen?
04:49Once a week.
04:51That's good.
04:52Sheep and lambs spend most of their time outside,
04:55but because Timmy's lambs are quite young,
04:57it's important that there's shelter nearby
04:59so they can hide from nasty weather, can't they?
05:01Yes.
05:05I think that's enough.
05:06I don't think that wheelbarrow can take any more.
05:09Shall we take it out?
05:11Yes.
05:16Good work, Timmy.
05:20Shall we put it in the bucket?
05:22Yes.
05:24Shall we make them a fresh bed?
05:26Yes.
05:38Spread the big pieces everywhere.
05:41OK.
05:45We have to give the lambs new water.
05:49Whoa.
05:53What do your lambs eat?
05:55Sheep food.
05:56Shall we get them some?
05:57Yes.
06:01Oh, perfect.
06:03Timmy's lambs are old enough now that they've started to creep feed,
06:06which means that they nibble on lots of different things around them,
06:09including this yummy sheep food.
06:12Well, they've got some nice food, they've got some water,
06:15and their bed and their play area is ready.
06:17Shall we get them in, give them some nice warm milk?
06:19Yes.
06:20Who's going to bring your lambs in?
06:22Mummy!
06:23Is Mummy going to bring your lambs in?
06:25Yes.
06:26Shall we get the milking stools then?
06:27Yes.
06:28Get them ready.
06:37There we go.
06:39Hi.
06:41Hi.
06:42You have to be careful feeding lambs, don't you?
06:44Yes.
06:45What do we do when you're feeding them?
06:47Count to ten.
06:48Shall we count?
06:49Yes.
06:50One sheep.
06:51Two sheep.
06:52Three sheep.
06:53Four sheep.
06:54Five sheep.
06:55Six sheep.
06:56Seven sheep.
06:57Eight sheep.
06:58Nine sheep.
06:59Ten sheep.
07:01Milk comes out of a bottle a lot faster than it would an udder,
07:05so it's important to take lots of breaks when you're feeding sheep
07:08so their tummies don't get too full too quickly.
07:11There you go.
07:12Look at their tails!
07:14Happy, happy lambs!
07:16One sheep.
07:17Two sheep.
07:18Three sheep.
07:19Four sheep.
07:20Five sheep.
07:21Six sheep.
07:22Seven sheep.
07:23Eight sheep.
07:24Nine sheep.
07:25Ten sheep.
07:32That way they know they're done.
07:33What do you think of your bed?
07:35He doesn't care about his bed, does he?
07:38Too busy eating their food.
07:41What happy, cuddly lambs.
07:50Happy, happy lambs, yay!
07:54Timmy, your sheep are so playful.
07:58If they could do anything, what would they do?
08:03If my pets could do anything,
08:06they would jump on a quad bike,
08:09they would go down a big hill saying baaa!
08:13and they'd get to a pier
08:16and jump onto a monkey wheel taxi.
08:19They would go zooming all around the sea
08:22Until they got to the land called Doodle Cock-a-Doodle-Doo
08:35Timmy, you do such a good job of looking after your land
08:38Do you have any other jobs?
08:39Yes
08:40What do you do?
08:41I help Daddy collect the wool
08:43That sounds like great fun, can I help you out now?
08:46Yes
08:47Shall we go?
08:49The lambs and sheep like to scratch themselves on trees and fences
08:52And sometimes their wool gets left behind
08:57Back piece
08:59Woah
09:00And Timmy loves collecting it
09:08I've got some here
09:11There's ropes on this tree
09:15Ooh
09:19Here you go
09:23And a wee piece
09:25Right here
09:32I've got an idea
09:34We could make a picture for the lambs
09:37That's lovely, to put in their pen
09:39Yes
09:40And can we use this wool?
09:42Yes, we could use it for clouds, lambs and sheep
09:46That would be really fun, shall we go?
09:48Yes, come on
09:55Troy and Nora are watching us
09:57They are, they're cheeky lambs, do you think they're excited?
10:00Yes
10:01Let's make the lambs' picture
10:04Yeah
10:12Yes
10:17Is that going to be a tree?
10:19Yes
10:20Do you think that looks like Noah?
10:22Yes
10:26I'm going to stick some wool on
10:30They are going to love this
10:32They're going to love this
10:35I'm going to draw Troy
10:38Yeah, because I'm doing Noah
10:43Can I have some wool for Troy's body?
10:46Yeah
10:47Thank you
10:53He's got loads of hair
10:56Yeah, keep them nice and warm
10:58That's some lovely blue sky
11:06Oh, I like the tree, that looks great
11:09I know what you could do
11:11What?
11:12Oh, a speech bubble
11:14Good idea
11:16I'm doing sun rising
11:19That's a nice idea
11:21Coming over the hill
11:23So it's really early morning
11:25Yes
11:27What about yellow buttercup dots?
11:29What about plop the barn owl?
11:33Plop the barn owl, is that what you've called your barn owl?
11:36Yeah
11:37Maybe we could do some poppies
11:40This is the wrong brush to do poppies
11:44Look, we've got our fingers
11:47There
11:50That is the biggest barn owl I've ever seen in my entire life
11:54This looks very ready to put up on the barn owl
12:00Should we show them?
12:01Yeah
12:02It's a masterpiece, Timmy
12:04Be careful not to let the lambs out
12:10Now, I think we should put it here
12:13Yeah, that's good
12:16Because we don't want the lambs to not see it
12:21Wow, what do you think?
12:24Try
12:26This is a great picture
12:29Do you think they like it, Timmy?
12:32Yes
12:34Thank you very much for introducing me to your amazing lambs
12:37I've had such a fun time
12:39Thanks Fern
12:40No problem
12:54Hi Rory, hi Roxy
12:56Hi Fern, how was your day?
12:57Oh, it was great, I had a brilliant time with my friends
13:00That sounds excellent
13:02Pets are great, but you shouldn't touch an animal unless the owner says it's OK first
13:06Two pets you definitely can play with are ours
13:09Go to the CBeebies website and play the My Pet and Me game
13:11What a fantastic time we've had, we just love meeting you and your pets
13:19Today we met a lovely pet
13:24Wendy, how much you care for them
13:27Thank you so much for sharing them
13:31Time for us to just remind you
13:36After you've played with your pet
13:40Wash your hands, don't forget
13:43It doesn't matter what pets you've got
13:46You might have one, you might not
13:49It's still fun finding out
13:52What having a pet is all about
13:55My pet, my pet and me
13:58My pet, my pet and me
14:01My pet, my pet and me
14:04Come back and see
