00:00Ten years of Noise & Confusion Tour in 2001.
00:03I mean, bearing in mind at that point, they're still a huge, huge band.
00:07But they wanted to do a sort of tour where they just went back and hit the venues that they'd played on the way up.
00:14But they did Two Nights at the Barrowland, and obviously Oasis announcing Two Nights at the Barrowland is probably the biggest underplay ever at that time.
00:23And me and my mates were like, well, we need to try and get tickets.
00:26The word came out, or I found out somehow, possibly through a magazine or whatever, that they were going to be selling some physical tickets at the SECC, which seems bizarre.
00:38So there was tickets that you could phone up and buy, but I didn't want to take the chance on that.
00:44I said to my mates, I was like, look, if we go through and we just sit outside the SECC, we'll just join a queue and then hopefully we'll get them.
00:52We arrive and I remember the security guy, we walked up just to ask him where to queue.
00:56And he was like, are you here for Oasis tickets?
00:58And we were like, yeah.
00:59And he went, right, well, you get inside, you get a wristband, but you can't get back out.
01:03Guaranteed tickets.
01:04So we go in, we get our wristbands.
01:07And as soon as we get those wristbands, that means we've got two tickets.
01:10So we're all buzzing, going to Hall 4.
01:13And there's people all around the outside of Hall 4.
01:17There's a burger van.
01:18There's people with carriots, guitars, like, it's a really good atmosphere.
01:23And then basically didn't sleep the whole night, just buzzing.
01:27And then in the morning, it was quite weird.
01:29There was two guys came, they were like banging the fire exit doors down the bottom corner of the room.
01:35I'll never forget this because I looked down and I was like, what's going on there?
01:38And they came in and they were going up to you and saying, let's see your wristbands, let's see your wristbands.
01:42And they'd broken in and they were trying to like, I don't know if they were touts or what,
01:46but they were trying to get tickets for the gig.
01:48And the next thing they got huckled out by security.
01:52And we were all like, that was a bit weird.
01:54And then as we all queued up to get our tickets, security were telling everybody to be careful
02:00because there'd been people there overnight outside the venue trying to break in
02:05because they knew the tickets were on sale inside the venue.
02:09You know, people coming out of clubs and pubs and stuff on the Saturday night
02:12and the word had spread that if you wanted to get Oasis tickets, you'd get them at the SECC.
02:17So there's people just coming down and outside the SECC trying to like break in and stuff.
02:22So the guy was like, be really careful when you come out just in case there's anybody going to mug you or whatever.
02:28And we were like, pfft.
02:29So we came out and we just ran straight to the car that we were in, got in, locked the doors,
02:34all looked at our tickets and we were all just like buzzing Oasis straight on the stereo
02:39and then drove back to Bathgate and we were all just completely hyper that we were going to get to see Oasis in the bar.
02:45And then the gig comes round and it's surreal.
02:47When they walked on, I was like, I can't believe I'm seeing Oasis.
02:50And it was filmed for Sky as well.
02:52Sky box office filmed it.
02:55Johnny Marr came out and played Champagne Supernova with them.
02:59And it was just, the atmosphere was unbelievable from start to end.
