00:32With reference to your memorandum on unexplained slowdown in updating of results in Haryana Assembly elections on the EC website,

00:39Commission notes that previously, on the 4th of June 2024, in the context of General Elections 2024,

00:45a somewhat similar concern was raised by Congress, which was ill-founded and dismissed by the Commission.

00:51The Commission categorically responded that any counting of votes is being carried out as per Rule 60 of Conduct of Election Rules

00:57at the designated counting centres and by the designated authorities following the statutory regulatory regime.

01:02And with reference to your today's memorandum regarding slowdown in updating of results of Haryana on the EC website,

01:09it is reiterated that entire counting process in Haryana and J&K is unfolding in the presence of candidates, observers, micro-observers as per the statutory scheme.

01:19There is nothing on record to substantiate your ill-founded allegation of slowdown in updating of results.

01:24Your memorandum does not bring out any contrary facts as to the delay in any constituencies in Haryana or J&K.

01:31And the EC has put out details of the website, saying the speed of the roundwise data updation by ROs tabulated below would allay all your fears.

01:4425 rounds across all constituencies being updated every 5 minutes, which testifies dissemination of counting process in a speedy manner.

01:53So, very detailed response that has been given by the Election Commission to Jayaram Ramesh.

01:59Well, in fact, this came in at a time when there was a turnaround as far as the leads are concerned.
