00:21The Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita raised the topic of issues that are in the public eye.
00:28This is related to the latest product from an American company, Apple, which is the iPhone 16, which has not yet entered the Indonesian market.
00:37Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita announced that Apple is still in the process of handling the TKDN certificate, which is one of the requirements for the importation of cell phones.
00:46Agus explained based on the 29th Ministerial Decree of 2017 on the importance and procedure of calculating the value of components in the country of cell phone products,
00:57handheld computers and tablet computers, the calculation of the TKDN can be done using three schemes, namely the manufacturing scheme or the production of products in the country,
01:07the application scheme or the production of applications in the country, or the development scheme of innovation in the country.
01:14In this case, the scheme that Apple is doing is through the development scheme of innovation.
01:19Before that, Apple has been able to sell its products in Indonesia because they have obtained the TKDN certificate.
01:31However, the validity of the certificate has run out, so it must be extended.
01:41And now the process of extending the TKDN certificate is still waiting for further investment from Apple,
01:51because Apple's investment has just been recorded at Rp1.48 trillion, which is relatively small compared to the products that they come to Indonesia.
02:08Before that, Apple has obtained the TKDN certificate, but the validity has run out, so it must be extended.
02:14However, the process of extending the TKDN certificate is still waiting for further investment from Apple,
02:27because it has just reached Rp1.48 trillion from the investment commitment of Rp1.71 trillion,
02:34so there is still a shortage of commitments of around Rp235 billion.
02:40August reaffirmed that if the investment commitment is realized, then Apple will get a value of 40% of the TKDN.
02:47Thus, iPhone 16 phones and Apple products using cellular networks can enter the Indonesian market.
