00:00Welcome back everybody! In this video we're going to test out the RTX 4070 in
00:05the new Assassin's Creed Mirage. As you can see I'm pairing this amazing
00:10graphics card with the Ryzen 7 3800X and 32 gigabytes of RAM so as much as
00:15possible we can avoid bottlenecking. And of course you have an Amazon link in the
00:20description for the 4070 just in case at the end of the video you want to check
00:23it out or buy it. But anyways that being said let's begin as always a 1080p
00:29resolution the minimum resolution you're going to be playing at with a
00:324070 and as you can see the low graphical setting preset meaning
00:38everything is in low besides volumetric clouds which for some reason turns to
00:42medium in low settings. And well as you can see performance with the 4070 at
00:471080p low settings is very very good 150 FPS average with absolutely no hiccups
00:56as you can see the frame time bar is incredibly stable which is very
01:00surprising because this is a new game and because this is a new Ubisoft game
01:04which you know means a lot of bugs a lot of instability and this is not the case
01:10here as you can see it's incredibly stable incredibly smooth and also maybe
01:15maybe the fact that I'm playing with a 165 Hertz refresh rate monitor helps
01:19but it feels amazing and well there's a little bit of bottlenecking inevitably
01:241080p low with a 4070 there's going to be bottlenecking in pretty much every
01:28game as you can see we're using about 80 high 80s low 90s percentage of the GPU
01:33we're not fully using the the graphics card to its maximum capacity so maybe if
01:38you have a new Ryzen 7 7800 X 3d or one of the new Intel 13 series processors
01:45you can get 150 160 but not a lot more as you can see we're using about 90% of
01:52the GPU so it's not like we have a huge bottleneck anyways let's try low
01:56settings 1440p we're still using the low graphical preset and as you can see
02:02we're getting 10 15% less FPS but it looks a lot better I'm not really sure
02:08why but 1440p looks like twice as good twice as sharp as 1080p I think this is
02:14supposed to be the the area where I have to do the tutorial and I think okay now
02:20they're chasing me I'm sorry I'm sorry I just wanted to go for a walk I'm not
02:25gonna do anything wrong I'm not gonna okay leave me alone please can I can I

02:45how the game looks in 1440p low settings which by the way I've already tested
02:50the game at high settings and it looks pretty much identical to low settings
02:53but you'll see it later let's focus on escaping these motherfuckers now hello
02:57they didn't see me oh I can kill one of them oh my god they've seen me already
03:04come on but anyways let's switch it up to 4k this is not supposed to be used at
03:104k this is a 1440p graphics card but it's very powerful and since we're
03:14getting a hundred plus FPS on on 1440p I figured you know what let's let's try
03:20and see what happens as you can see we're getting a very stable high 70 low
03:2580 FPS count the average FPS is actually a clean 80 and well it looks a little
03:31bit sharper than than 1440p but with a computer monitor I think it's not really
03:38that noticeable if you if you're playing on a computer I wouldn't recommend you
03:41buy a 4k display because with such a such a small display it's not really that
03:47big of a difference the big difference is between 1080 and 1440p but it is
03:51playable and it's very impressive I was actually expecting expecting a little
03:56bit less FPS on 4k because you know I come from Starfield trying to trying to
04:02see if the 4070 works on Starfield and I'm I my my expectations have been
04:08lowered greatly because of that game I expect now 4k 60 now to me is a miracle
04:14on any game especially considering as I said earlier that this game is new and
04:18it's made by Ubisoft no DLSS upscaling just native clean 4k is actually amazing
04:26and now I'm gonna stay here forever okay now let's try the high graphical preset
04:35everything is set to high starting from the bottom again at 1080p resolution and
04:41well it looks pretty much identical to low settings as I said earlier maybe
04:48it's a little bit sharper maybe it looks a little bit cleaner maybe lighting is a
04:53little bit more precise but I don't notice the difference low settings and
04:56high settings look pretty much identical to me and well framing frame time
05:01everything is also identical as you can see we're getting around well maybe a
05:04little less I think we were getting 150 FPS before now we were getting now we're
05:09getting a hundred and forty but it's pretty much identical something Gracie
05:14about this game is that I can pickpocket people so you can see I'm trying to pick

06:08high graphical preset which as you can see is giving us pretty much the same
06:13FPS count we were getting at low settings maybe a little bit less but not
06:17enough to be a downside like if you if you're planning on playing 1440p I will
06:22tell you the same thing that I said at 1080p play with high settings because
06:26the difference in FPS is pretty much non-existent am I being chased am I
06:32being chased by someone looks like no okay I just wanted to make sure because
06:40uh every time I look back there's a guard trying to stab me with a with a
06:44sword or something and I didn't even do anything I am a good civilian I help
06:50people I try to be nice and and and and say good morning good morning to people
06:58I I say good morning to kids good morning kid good morning what's
07:04happening I mean no harm I mean absolutely no harm I mean absolutely no
07:14harm and finally 4k resolution high settings preset and well same story
07:20we're getting maybe a little bit less FPS that we were getting at 4k low
07:25settings but this is still very playable maybe maybe not as smooth of an
07:30experience as we had with with 1440p or 1080p but let's remember this is not a
07:374k graphics card it's meant to be used at 1440p and the fact that we can play
07:42this is a new game in a new game that's not even been optimized because it's
07:47been out for like two days above 60 FPS at all times at 4k resolution with no
07:53upscaling with no DLSS is actually amazing so yeah pretty good pretty good
07:58experience maybe I have to admit I'm a little underwhelmed by how it the game
08:03looks because it's yes I said identical to the old old games I was expecting a
08:09new engine with new graphics new lighting ray tracing all those kinds of
08:14modern technologies and it still looks like classic Assassin's Creed which is
08:19it's not bad it's not like it's horrible but it looks like a 2016 game you know
08:24and it's 2023 it's about time they update the engine so we can get some
08:29nice fine textures some nice fine shadows and reflections like on every
08:35single other game like I've been testing Starfield, Cyberpunk, Red Dead Redemption
08:41this past week with a 4070 and this falls considerably behind in the
08:46graphical setting despite being a new game and last but not least let's try
08:50the ultra-high gaming preset where everything is set to the maximum
08:54possible preset and 1080p resolution with no DLSS ok so as you can see we're
09:02getting noticeably less FPS than we were getting at low and high settings I think
09:06before we were getting a 140 150 now we're getting a 114 on average which is
09:13still pretty good but it's not nearly as as smooth of an experience those extra
09:1850 FPS do make a difference it's very hard for me to say it looks better
09:22because it's pretty much identical maybe shadows are a little bit more
09:25dramatical maybe textures are a little bit sharper but it's very very very
09:31similar to to high settings what is this triangle structure glass triangle
09:40structure can I not cross it I'm gonna cross it anyways because I'm a man and I
09:47don't care and I'm not scared of this triangle oh anyways fuck you triangle
09:54structure conclusion you can play very smooth 1080p ultra-high settings but I
10:00would not recommend you go that I because visual fidelity is the same FPS
10:05count is noticeably lower let's move up to 1440p native with the same ultra-high
10:13gaming preset which looks noticeably better than 1080p it looks a lot sharper
10:18and we're getting pretty much the same FPS we were getting at high settings so
10:23I don't know what to say because we're getting pretty much the same FPS but
10:28visual fidelity is the same as high settings so maybe skip ultra-high even
10:33at 1440p because although we're getting the same FPS it's the same so why bother
10:39making your graphics card work harder with ultra-high settings if it's going
10:43to be pretty much the same when it comes to visuals it's still very smooth I'm
10:47actually very surprised with this game because every resolution and every
10:52graphical preset is giving us very stable frame times very good frames per
10:57second and no no noticeable can I pet you I can pet you of course I can pet
11:04you little cat you're amazing I love you what okay goodbye as I was saying it's
11:12giving us a very impressive experience very stable and very good FPS per second
11:17counts being a new Ubisoft game that's that's a very impressive thing to say
11:23you know but anyways it's time for the big dog 4k resolution ultra-high settings
11:29this is probably going to be in the 60s and once again pleasantly surprised it's
11:36yes okay it's in the it's in the high 60s low 70s but it's not dropping from
11:4260 at ultra-high settings like the maximum possible graphical settings you
11:46can achieve on this game 4k ultra-high settings it's not dropping from 60 FPS
11:51on the 4070 which is not even supposed to be a 4k graphics card I can only
11:56imagine the performance we're going to get with a 4090 or 4080 this is very
12:01impressive and I've not even turned on DLSS I'll turn it I'll turn it on later
12:05don't worry so we can see the maximum possible FPS we can achieve in 4k ultra
12:10settings but yeah up until this point it's not even being necessary DLSS was
12:15not even necessary because we were getting so many FPS at 1080p and in 1440p
12:21that DLSS made actually no sense to be turned on this is amazing news you're
12:25gonna be able to play this new game with a 4070 no compromises no DLSS unless
12:31you want to play ultra settings high FPS which then maybe you'll have to turn on
12:34DLSS okay let's turn on DLSS with a quality preset which is the most similar
12:40preset to like native resolution and I am very impressed it's maybe not as much
12:46as I was expecting considering that in other games you can get twice as much
12:50FPS with DLSS quality but we're getting 86 FPS on average and we were on the on
12:55the on the low 60s before and this is 4k ultra high setting so guys this is
13:01amazing news for anybody with a 4k monitor trying to buy a 4070 or trying
13:07to buy the the new Assassin's Creed game this plays at above 100 FPS in every
13:14resolution in every graphical setting anyways you have Amazon links to the
