Assembly Polls Congress Terms Haryana Results 'Unexpected', PM Slams Cong For Defaming Institutions

The BJP secured a historic victory in Haryana assembly election, results of which were announced on Tuesday, October 8. In Jammu and Kashmir, the National Conference-Congress alliance emerged victorious. Reacting to the Haryana results, the Congress said it was "unexpected and surprising", adding that it will approach the EC regarding the alleged EVM functionality issue. Prime Minister Narendra Modi slammed the Congress for raising doubts on the credibility of the EC and congratulated the National Conference for its victory in Jammu and Kashmir.
