00:00All right, Keith, let's get into this week.
00:04Black Desert Championship, first time we are coming here.
00:08This is a new event on the PGA Tour in the swing season.
00:12What have you found out about the Black Desert Resort where we are going to be?
00:16Well, this is a pretty cool spot.
00:19That's the first thing.
00:20Southwest Utah is not like ski slopes and mountains that you would normally see.
00:25This is about two hours northeast of Vegas.
00:28So there's a lot of like Vegas texture to the terrain and it's lava fields and some
00:33red rock, you know, jettisoning out of the out of the out of the desert landscape.
00:37I mean, this is a pretty cool layout.
00:39Tom Weisskopf did the design.
00:41And I think when we go to a brand new place and when I talk about brand new, this is not
00:44just a brand new event on the PGA Tour.
00:47This is a brand new golf course that just opened last year in twenty twenty three.
00:52So we have no history there.
00:53There's one hundred thirty two rookies in the field.
00:56So a couple of things we got to kind of dabble with is how about some comp courses?
01:00So I mentioned Weisskopf, you know, he was the one that designed this golf course.
01:03Well, guess what?
01:04He also did TPC Scottsdale.
01:06We've got some history there.
01:07How about places like El Diamante, where we went last year for the Worldwide Technology
01:11Championship in the fall?
01:13Tiger spot there in Cabo, wide fairways, same similar type of terrain and maybe, you know,
01:18the Mexico open, another long golf course, par seventy one, seventy three hundred yards.
01:23But check that for a moment, because we're playing at three thousand feet of altitude.
01:28So the guys are going to get a little break on carry.
01:30But overall, I don't see anything stopping these guys from making a boatload of birdies.
