00:01Lap.
00:02Your music industry's biggest court.
00:04No, not sure.
00:05Best of luck.
00:07Thanks, sir.
00:10What are you doing here?
00:12Taking my right.
00:13Really?
00:15Then go.
00:16And knock on that court's door.
00:19Yes.
00:21And what did you say to me that day?
00:24Judge sir,
00:25along with my vermillion,
00:27return my husband's body to me.
00:31Got it?
00:36Rani, what would you like to say about your role?
00:39The role I'm playing in this film
00:41is like any other girl.
00:46Every girl has a dream
00:48that she'll get married one day.
00:50It's my dream, it's your dream,
00:52it's everybody else's dream.
00:54That one day she's gonna get married
00:56and her princess is gonna come,
00:58her Prince Charming is gonna come
01:00and get her married and take her.
01:03The same, similar thing
01:05that I'm portraying here,
01:07even this girl in this film,
01:09even it's her dream,
01:10like any other girl,
01:12to get married.
01:14That's why the film is named
01:16Raja Ki Aayegi Mera.
01:18Because this is every girl's dream.
01:20She's gonna get married one day.
01:22But somehow,
01:23because of some circumstances,
01:25her dream is shattered.
01:28The way she fights her own battle
01:32and the way she
01:34puts in back her dream
01:36and everything,
01:37it's the entire thing.
01:39Like the hero is responsible,
01:41like Shada, who's playing,
01:43he's responsible in
01:45shattering the girl's dream.
01:50And in this film,
01:53I'm a little bold,
01:55very bold.
01:57I keep fighting all the time with people
01:59because I can't see,
02:04I can't see wrong anywhere.
02:08And she can go to any extent
02:11to just get,
02:13give justice to people.
02:15Like her main aim is like
02:17nobody, like everybody should get justice.
02:19And for that
02:21she can go to any extent.
02:23Like when her dreams are shattered,
02:27to give her own self-justice,
02:29the way she fights her own battle,
02:31she takes the man to court.
02:33She fights her own battle.
02:36How did you get this film?
02:38How did I get this film?
02:45Mr. Salim Akhtar,
02:47who's the producer of this film,
02:49he's a very close family friend.
02:51And right from the beginning,
02:53from my childhood,
02:55he used to keep telling me that
02:57I want to give you this role,
02:59you will be my future heroine.
03:01And I used to never take it seriously.
03:03But last year,
03:05in June,
03:07he just, one fine day,
03:09he just came up to my house
03:11and he told me, Rani, I want you to do this film.
03:13So I was just shocked.
03:15I said, uncle, how can I just do this?
03:17Because I had just given my 12th
03:19and I was looking forward for my FIB classes.
03:21And I had joined Michibai also.
03:23So he said,
03:25no, you're doing this film.
03:27You are doing it, because I want you to do it.
03:29So I was not prepared,
03:31nothing.
03:33So he
03:35told me about the script
03:37and he told me the story and he told me my character,
03:41what the film was all about.
03:43So I liked the entire thing,
03:45the entire setup and I said yes.
03:47Because even I got a little
03:49excited about my role.
03:51Because I think it's a little different.
03:53Like it's not this
03:55same
03:57college love story,
03:59the boy seeing the girl first,
04:01first sight love, it's nothing like that.
04:03It's a little different.
04:05It's a family drama.
04:09And Rani, you also do a lot of Bengali films.
04:11So how do you divide your time
04:13between Hindi and Bengali industry?
04:15No, I don't do Bengali films.
04:19My first Hindi film,
04:21my first film.
04:23Salim uncle has
04:25given me the first break.
04:27He has given me the break.
04:29I don't do any other,
04:31I don't do Bengali films.
04:39Particular scene, actually
04:43every scene in this film of mine,
04:45my best scene,
04:47because I've given my best,
04:49I've given the best to every scene
04:51of mine. But if you go to see
04:53which scene of mine I really
04:55saw,
04:57I was tensed about something.
04:59It is the court scene.
05:01There's a very crucial
05:03court scene in this film.
05:05I was a little tense about that, but that went
05:07off very well.
05:09And I've not yet seen the film
05:11on screen.
05:13So I don't know about my performance.
05:15If you see,
05:17if I myself judge
05:19according to that, then I feel
05:21all my scenes in the film are best.
05:23All.
05:25What sort of role do you have?
05:27The role I'm doing in this film,
05:31every girl
05:33will see herself in me.
05:35It's that sort of a role.
05:37It's that sort of a role.
05:39It's every girl's dream
05:41that she's going to get married one day.
05:43That she'll get married.
05:45That she'll get married.
05:49In this film,
05:51my dream
05:53is shattered.
05:55My dream is shattered.
05:57What I dream
05:59that I'm going to get married
06:01and that my prince is going to come,
06:03it's all shattered.
06:05And it's how I get back my dreams,
06:07like how I
06:09put them back.
06:11It's all about that.
06:13How was your experience
06:15working with Ashok Gaikwad?
06:17To work with Ashok Gaikwad,
06:19when I began working
06:21in this film, I was a little tensed.
06:23Like working
06:25with this director.
06:27I used to not know him.
06:29It was always, hello.
06:31But when I started working with him,
06:33I found that he's very cooperative.
06:35He was very cooperative with me,
06:37in fact.
06:39And if I used to not get my scenes right,
06:41he used to scold me.
06:43And then, it was such a thing,
06:45the next take would be okay.
06:47And he'd scold me, Rani, what are you doing?
06:49Not right.
06:53Basically, a very good director.
06:55And I'm happy working with him.
06:57And how was your work experience
06:59with your co-actor Shadab?
07:01Shadab?
07:03Shadab?
07:05Shadab is, in fact,
07:07an inborn actor.
07:09I think he's got this thing
07:11from his dad.
07:15He was also very cooperative
07:17with me.
07:21And Shadab is,
07:23he puts in his hard work.
07:25He's very hardworking.
07:27And that's it.
07:29He's very good.
07:33After 1, 2.
07:351, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
07:37Is there a song?
08:031, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
